Position Requirements:
4 year degree. BS Computer Science, Engineering or similar degree or equivalent work experience and 5+ years systems management experience. Preferred large-scale environment experience in a Fortune 100 company.
3-5 years recent and continuous experience in the installation, management, and support of an Enterprise Monitoring Technologies product such as BMC BPM/TMART; Tivoli TEC/Tivoli Framework; HP Operations Manager/HP Performance Manager/HP SiteScope; CA Wily/CA Interscope; MS SCOM
Excellent working knowledge/expertise in following areas with a minimum of three to six years of system engineering experience with a solid foundation of two of the remaining skills:
- Operating Systems: UNIX (AIX 5.x & higher) MS/Intel (2k and higher), Linux RH3.x, z/OS, Solaris 9.x
- Scripting Languages: (Perl, UNIX Shell Scripting bsh, ksh, csh, Javascript)
- Network Management: (TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, Firewalls, HTTPS, FTP, Telnet)
- Database Administration: (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2/UDB)
- Virtualization: VMware, AIX LPAR’s
- Web Enabled Technologies: MQ Series, Websphere, etc.
