Our client is looking for a Cisco Network Engineer to join their team.  Candidates must be extremely proficient with Cisco IOS, BGP, and MPLS skills.  Need to have working knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and Unity, ASA Firewall, and should have at least a CCNA certification.  Experience with Cisco enterprise wireless access controllers would be a huge plus, but is not required.  Candidates must be comfortable working in a business professional environment and need to be self-starters and highly motivated to succeed with this client.
 
 
 
Job #1785: NOC Technician
Published Description:	 	
The NOC Technician is responsible for customer service and monitoring of customer equipment. This position effectively handles customer calls and e-mail, answers questions and routes issues to the appropriate groups. The NOC Technician works heavily with monitoring tools to identify, document and pass problems quickly to our engineering staff.

Responsibilities: 

Working knowledge of NOC monitoring tools.
Provide first level 24x7x365 escalation support for client customers.
Answer customer calls and provide high level of service.
Assist customers to correctly identify the source of their problems and troubleshoot.
Technical knowledge and proficiency with Windows, Unix, Linux, Etc.
Maintain a good understanding of all NOC processes and implement them appropriately.
Document all calls and equipment issues with a high degree of detail.
Be alert to all NOC tools and respond quickly to the events they generate.
Use a variety of tools (nslookup, ping, traceroute, browser, etc) to quickly verify reported events.
Use remote administration software (Terminal server, Remote desktop, Telnet, etc) to verify and correct reported events.
Monitor facility for infrastructure readiness and escalate any problems to Engineering team immediately.


Essential Skills: 

Requires a BS or BA degree and Linux / Windows certification or related technical training with 2+ years experience. 
Experience working in a 7 x 24 environment.
Must have strong customer service and communication skills 
Proficiency with troubleshooting Windows, UNIX and/or Linux systems
Understanding of enterprise networking environments
Excellent organization and teamwork skills
Experience with basic network tools (ping, nslookup, traceroute, etc)
Strong desire to learn and grow within the organization
