Title: Cisco Route/Switch Network Engineer – Mid to Senior
- CCNA, CCNP
Purpose of Position:
To support the development and maintenace of a large network for all data networks. support and implement a migration strategy towards future development implementations. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs data and VoIP networks. Designs and implements network installations and expansions. Performs, directs, and coordinates
Qualifications:
- Possess a high level of knowledge of data and voice networking technology including architectures, topologies, protocols, interfaces, associated software, and a wide variety of vendor offerings.
- Have a good working knowledge of Ethernet, supporting media types, and network devices.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve communications problems related to network operations.
- Knowledge and direct experience with Routing, Switching, DHCP, DNS, HSRP, and protocols BGP, MPLs, EIGRP
- Be well versed in industry standards and network design principles.
- Prefer bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, industrial technology, telecommunications or related field. Equivalent data communications experience and education may substitute.
- Progressive work experience (4 - 8 yrs) and responsibility in designing, modifying, installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing data communications lines and equipment.
- Cisco CCNA or higher certification. l
- Some supervisory experience is desired
