sejhammer: hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
hi hi hi
I closed the window by my room most of the way
I'll try to be careful and check the weather every day but
if the humidity in the apartment gets too high and then the humidity in my room gets to high, it'll damage my comics quite a bit
it makes the pages stick together and then all the stuff rips off when you pull them apart
me: well it was in the 50s this morning, so it makes sense to just leave the windows open
i dont really want to pay extra money each month to keep your comics fresh
sejhammer: if my room goes below 69 it'll just come on
I'm moving out then
I can't replace a 3 thousand dollar comic collection filled with stuff that's already out of print
does it make sense that my room could be in the high 70s when the air outside is in the 50s?
our apartment gets blasted with heat from the building
so even though it would be a good idea if it worked (for days when it wouldn't rain), it's not viable for me
me: closing the windows will just trap the hot air in
sejhammer: I didn't close it all the way
I already have to pay $500 just to cover every 100 issues I get, it's not like I don't put a lot of my own money into protecting them
there just isn't much else I can do after that
me: well you can pay more for the electric bill then
sejhammer: no
you're an asshole
I fucking hate you
please don't use my pot, pan, or kitchen appliances ever again
me: ok, i think you should calm down and see how this is unreasonable for me
sejhammer: how?
you make a retarded amount of money and you made me put the heat on during the day for two weeks straight in the winter
your beer cooking and stuff like that adds to the bill too
and you keep your computer running a lot when I shut mine down and yours isn't even a low power machine
me: ok first of all
sejhammer: we both use the power and the air only comes on when it hits the temperature it's set to--it's not on all the time
me: beer cooking is negligible on our gas bill
sejhammer: and chickpea cooking
me: my computer is in standby when im not using it
sejhammer: even having it plugged in at all uses energy
my point is that we both contribute to it
me: and you have your TV
sejhammer: why is it necessary to have the heat on in the winter for comfort but not the air on in the summer for the comfort?
it uses less energy than the lightbulb in our kitchen
my tv
it's an led tv
me: because its like 50 degrees out and the air is coming on and off all night
sejhammer: I had to pay an extra $500 for a tv that small just for that feature, and I did it to save energy
because my room hits 76 and 78
I can't sleep with the door open or bandit will come in
and if any wet air comes into the room or if sunlight shines on my figures, my collections are fucked
just because you're outdoorsy doesn't mean you can force it on me ALL THE TIME
and you can have the windows open and the air on at the same time if it's really that low out
because the air shouldn't kick in as much
but it does because the temperature in our apartment isn't only affected by the temperature outside when the windows are open
me: well its not like im opening them when the temperature is higher outside than what the termostat is set to
sejhammer: I'm not going to sleep in my own sweat anymore--I've got acne all over my LOWER back (not sebum skin) and thighs from doing it just one night this week
and I wasn't complaining about that
I just don't want threats that you're going to try to take money that actually makes a difference as to weather I eat or not just so I can be comfortable
when the reality is that we both use the apartment and it's not a big deal to you in the first place
all of my kitchen stuff that I share with you is really awesome and I had to save up a lot of my money to get it
and I like that you use it because your cooking gets better for it
but I don't charge you money for it
me: that is totally separate, dont do me favors and then hold it against me
i'll buy my own stuff if that is a problem
sejhammer: and the entire apartment is filled with your shit
me: entire apartment?
sejhammer: the living room the hallway the laundry closet
me: i bought the living room stuff for you too
sejhammer: no, you bought it because you wanted it
I don't mind your couch and stuff, it IS cool
and I don't even mind all the filthy bikes and just
crap on the floor all the time
or taking care of bandit
me: no, i bought it so we could use it
sejhammer: but I don't want MY comfort when it comes to temperature control to have to suffer
when do I use it though?! I have a bedroom
me: you're having people over this weekend, arent you?
sejhammer: I feel like it's a major inconvenience for you even if I use my laptop in the kitchen at night
YEAH, I am
me: this is all retarded to even argue about
sejhammer: which is why I asked you politely if it was okay first so I knew if I had to turn them away or make them sleep on the floor
if it's retarded then take back what you said about the stupid utility bills
me: i dont mind if you use my stuff
sejhammer: it's running MUCH less than it was in the winter
I don't mind if you use MY stuff until you attack me for this crap
me: do you mind if i use yours?
sejhammer: no
but if you keep yelling at me for this I'm never going to get sleep or function like a normal human being anymore
fucking
crying at work over this shit
I always have to go sit under my desk because I'm paranoid someone will see me

me: im not yelling at you, i try to live a spartan lifestyle so i can eventually move out of this country, and having the AC on when its so nice outside, and actually cooler than in the apartment, is just a waste of my money
im not trying to upset you
sejhammer: nice is subjective
I can't tolerate anything about 72 at all
me: yes, subjective to me, i am speaking from my own point of view here
sejhammer: my body is covered with deep acne crap because of it
it has real repercussions on me
I started showering more and wearing less clothes
I'm going to have to start washing my sheets every single day
if I get them sweaty at night
just to keep my skin from scarring with this much
look
when it's nice outside and cooler than in the apartment
it's not as cool in the apartment at all
my room is 15 degrees hotter
I don't have a window I can just open even on dry days
I got my bed to live on it--it's essentially my couch
I shouldn't have to give up being in my room where I'm happy just because you have dreams of going to europe that you think having to pay an extra ten or twenty dollars a month on climate control will effect
Sent at 9:00 AM on Wednesday
sejhammer: and I'm serious about moving out--you'd be screwed because any legal actions you took against me for not paying my rent and not subletting the apartment even while I'm under lease would just result in me deadbeating on it because I don't care about my credit or financial reputation enough to sacrifice my vitality or my happiness in that situation
me: if thats what you'd rather do, go for it
sejhammer: it's not, I'd rather run the air and not have you fuck me on the bill over it
69 is a reasonable temperature for the apartment to be at
the air will only run if it dips below that
(I mean above, sorry)
so keep the windows open like you like
and I'll run the air like I like
and it shouldn't be a problem
if you wanted to live a spartan lifestyle why did you ever in your right mind think it was okay to enter a lease with me?!
I'm pretty upfront about how much I hate outside air, open windows, insects, or anything related to the outside world touching me at all
it's not like I was hiding this from you
me: well why not offer to pay more if you're going to run the laundry and AC all the time? that only seems fair to me
sejhammer: I don't have more
that's why
I already borrowed money from marty just to have $20 for toilet paper and food this week and $20 for food next week
and that's to feed Wes, mostly, not me
I'm allowed to run my laundry as much as I want, I can't sleep in filth like you do
and I'll have to run it about 7 times less a week if we can just run the fucking air at a reasonable temperature
are you saying I should sit around in 78 degrees in my room when yours is 70 because you get to have a window?
