Electronic commerce is having a substantial growth, many of those people formerly without Internet access can today shop comfortably at home. However if more and more often people search for those kind of Web pages, it is necessary to have a bigger concern about the user’s satisfaction while exploring those pages. Although usability is a very researched topic nowadays, many developers give little importance to a very influent factor to usability: the colors. This work focuses on the concerns of the use of those in electronic commerce websites. Therefore, this project brings information regarding the use of the colors, examples and ways to apply them more efficiently in order to make the user feel more comfortable when viewing the screen contents and browse during more time, that consequently would make him/her shop more and finally, an analysis about usability, aided by a opinion poll to investigate the opinion of diverse users, showing the importance of the colors on the augment of electronic commerce sales.
