the evidence is steckty
its linked to a predispostion in a single gene
mainly
other forms have been linked
such as hepatic cancer
and cancer of the liver
its the wide spread that alcohol=cancer

causality and correlation are two things
a lot of the studies looked at throat cancer of smokers and drinkers
and concluded it was the drinking not hte smoking
some of it is poor study design
But good this opinion helps shape the speech

personally my view is alcohol is a factor inbvolved in certain cancer growth
However it is not a wide spread carcinogen that the media is trying to portray
this is because of the study designs of the papers suggesting alcohol will always lead to cancer has been very heavily biased
and very nit picked

statistically speaking the correlation is low
and not strong
the study aswwell was not completely controlled
