The Warriors of Ra
Once long ago, in Ancient Egypt, there was a great battle between two dynasties. One believed in the old ways of the gods and the other thought there are no gods but only one god and he should be shown the respect he deserves. This threw the alliance into the great war over if there is one god or many gods. “The army of the gods” were only 683 strong, while “the army of god” had 1317 strong. “The army of the gods” were outnumbered more than two to one.
The battle was fierce and gruellingly long. Everybody was covered in blood, mostly not their own. Seven warriors of “the army of the gods” were killing the most. Their names were: Seto, Chakoté, Mygeeto, Kabal, Shakti, Shareé, and Skakoan. The seven warriors were spread throughout the battle field. After about 2 hours of nothing but battling, the number of soldiers were cut down. For the gods: 267, for god: 639. The seven warriors for the gods were still alive and not even one scratch were on any of them. Seto was the fiercest of them all.
Seto was also the son of the pharaoh, but the son of the one who believes in one god. Seto believed in the gods because whenever he asked for the gods help he always got stronger or faster. It was like that for him since he was young. Now the age of 32, he still believes in them. The other six warriors were his friends and were like him as well, they ask for help from the gods and they were stronger, faster, or in one word; indestructible.
The war finished after 7 hours, and there were only 8 survivors. They were the seven warriors of the gods and one warrior of god that surrendered after praying for the gods and he as well got stronger when he did. The seven warriors of the gods were legends throughout both dynasties. The eighth wasn’t part of them because he wasn’t part of the original army, and was banished from Egypt to walk amongst those who would see him as on outcast. Everywhere they went they were being called “The Warriors of the Gods”. People thought they could be the ones to reawaken “The Warriors Of Ra”.
“I can’t believe that we didn’t even get hit once. It’s a miracle from the gods and we should show that we deserve their blessing. I know we can reawaken the greatest of ‘The Warriors Of Ra’ and protect the world.” Skakoan stated.
“I agree but it’ll be hard to be around the world with only seven of us.” Shareé said, “If only we could find more people like us to help out with keeping the world safe and peaceful.”
“Remember that if we get 100 Warriors Of Ra that Ra himself will come down from the heavens and bring peace throughout the lands.”
“It would help out a lot if we could find them all right away.” suggested Kabal.
Two days later, the seven were brought to the resting place of “The Warriors Of Ra” to try to reawaken them. Seto said, “I hope White Dragon chooses me. I’d like to be the warrior of light”
Kabal then stated, “Aye, you can be the master of light, but I wanna be the Lord Of Darkness, Black Dragon. He is the strongest.”
Mygeeto then whispered to Shakti, “As long as I’m not Bror Jace, the Lord Of Neutrality, and Lameness.” Shakti giggled at the remark then her face dropped and she thought the same thing.
The seven of them walked up to the seven major “Warriors Of Ra”. “The Warriors Of Ra” chose their hosts as if they were alive. They also share their memories with their host.
Seto was up first, he went before White Dragon and knelt before him, nothing happened. He then went before Solar and knelt, yet nothing again. He also went before Lunar, then Bror Jace, both were nothing. When he got before Eclipse, he felt a strange sensation go throughout his entire body as well as his soul. As Seto knelt before the armour of Eclipse, it glowed and enclosed itself around Seto. He was known as Eclipse from then on, Seto no longer existed.
Chakoté was up next. He did the same thing to each one, but Bror Jace chose him. After him it was Mygeeto, he was Dark Shadow. Then it was Kabal, he was the Lord Of Darkness, Black Dragon. The rest of them came up: Shakti became Solar, Shareé became Lunar, and Skakoan became White Dragon.
“The Warriors of the Gods” were reborn as “The Warriors Of Ra”. There was a strange memory in Black Dragon’s mind. The Black Dragon before him looked into a mirror and said to himself, “Now the people will be looking for the rest of ‘The Warriors Of Ra’ to bring Ra down from the heavens to rule the world and bring peace to all. There are 101 Warriors Of Ra and they only need 100 for him to be brought down. If they reawaken Draco, for some reason, he counts as 90 warriors because they say he is the son of Ra himself. But he is hidden from the world somewhere, so good luck trying to find him, I have spent 350 years looking for him. I should mention you also live forever or until you give up being whichever warrior you are or are killed by another Warrior Of Ra.
“But you see, I figured why should there be peace when there could be destruction. I have learned that Anubis only takes 90 warriors to bring down to earth. You should convert from being a Warrior Of Ra to becoming a Warrior Of Anubis. Your choice and I leave it up to you. Be wise in your decision.”
Black Dragon had to think about what he had just learned. He thought he would never betray The Warriors Of Ra. He consulted his closest friend Dark Shadow, which said “You should not talk of such acts. This type of talk is more like high treason.”
“I know it sounds like it but why would one of the warriors say this to the next warrior if it was not treason? Maybe the others are wrong in trying to awaken Ra and should actually awaken Anubis. Perhaps we have been following the wrong god all along? What if the previous Black Dragon has figured it out, maybe we should abandon the whole Ra plan and should go with Anubis?” said Black Dragon.
Dark Shadow’s head hurt from the whole idea of abandoning his fellow brothers, to join his best friend Black Dragon and follow in the steps of Anubis, which is to destroy the world instead of bringing peace to it.
Dark Shadow then stated, “It would be too hard to convince the others to join Anubis. Seto, I mean Eclipse, has always wanted to serve Ra as one of his truest and greatest of warriors. Now that he is, you want to strip him of his commitment and his reasoning’s, just so we can fulfil the other Black Dragons’ wishes?”
“That’s where you come in. With you at my side we can control most of the other warriors we recruit. If we can’t control them then we’ll destroy them and find new hosts that will obey orders.”
Dark Shadow was in a shock! He couldn’t believe the abomination he was hearing. He argued, “I am loyal to the Warriors Of Ra. I will never join Anubis or you. I will tell the rest of the warriors of your treason here. You have brought shame and evil to your name.”
Dark Shadow then turned around to leave the room when Black Dragon shot a little black dart into the crystal on the back of Dark Shadows’ neck. Dark Shadow screamed with agony and dropped to the floor. Black Dragon thought he killed him, so he went over to the body and was about to grab his feet when all of a sudden Dark Shadow sat up quickly and said, “Why am I on the floor? We were just talking about how we are going to convert all of the Warriors Of Ra to serve Anubis.”
Black Dragon was confused, so he asked, “You mean your not going to go to the warriors and tell them how I have betrayed them?”
“Wouldn’t that ruin our plans to bring Anubis to life?”
Black Dragon realized what he has just done. Whenever he shoots one of his black darts into the crystals on their necks, he then turns their minds into whatever he wants them to be. Black Dragon was still grasping the fact of what he has just done but he still managed to ask, “So, then your with me in bringing Anubis back?”
“Of course I am.”
From that day he made Dark Shadow a Warrior Of Anubis, he was also known as the Lord Of Anubis. Black Dragon took 3 weeks to think about how they were going to either convert or destroy the other Warriors Of Ra. He decided to find more Warriors Of Anubis and then attack them without them expecting it.
