The End .........
It is with great sadness that I am writing this topic today, but what must be done - has to be done.
Skillers Empire was founded in August 2008 and has now Closed as of the 1st of November 2010.
It has been a great pleasure to inherit and contribute to the continuous growth of this wonderful skilling community, I have met many wonderful people whom I will consider my friend not only online but in real life as well - some of which I have already had the pleasure of meeting in reality.
Some of you I am sure, this news will come as a shock. SE has been a highly succesful clan - making a huge impact at runefest, being published on runescape development blogs - and taking huge pride in being a Drama/Conflict free clan and taking discipline seriously.
As time goes by, life goes as well. My real life situation is getting more and more busy, my partner Mandy also has become extremely busy with her Uni studies - all of which heavily restricts our free time. Our other staff members currently are also busy in real life, getting new jobs, moving house and dealing with general real life - whether we have our own families or important studies.
There is a saying that goes "quit whilst your ahead" and I think this stands well for this moment.
I would rather close SE on a high note - with wonderful group of members with huge great success... than to slowly begin to struggle running this clan on a daily basis and wilt away into nothing.
I personally would like to say a huge thank you to all of our long standing highly dedicated and loyal members who have been with SE since the start. I would also like to say its been a pleasure meeting all of you, skilling side by side - all of our newer SE members are also fantastic and we love you all!
Thank you to all past and present Staff members. You are wonderful awesome people, and I am glad to have worked alongside you. Sorry for those that were also going to become our newest staff members - it was decided only today - not to persue with our new endevours as even with the extra help - we could not forfil our dreams for this community.
Do not worry, we will not be totally vanishing into thin air !
There will be no more events, skill weeks, targets and so forth.
The #skillempire irc channel - will remain open
The clan chat - skillempire in runescape - will remain open
The forums will remain open as an archive - until they are no longer needed
The memberlist maybe removed/ending list maybe created

Again, I'd like to take the time out to thank you for choosing Skillers Empire.
I am sorry that we cannot keep this open for even more people to enjoy - but we simply do not have the resources to continue.
Good luck in all your future endevours inside and outside of Runescape.

For now - SE will remain open as a community forums for skillers - you can all remain here, chat, use irc, use cc.

If you want to host your own events then you are more than welcome to. I will still be around and monitoring these forums - I will also give out some promotions to people who have came forward and see how SE goes.. as a community.
Maybe next year, SE will re-open as a clan... maybe it wont. It will all be down to you - the people
