privatization in the US has led it to be really expensive, inefficient and capitalistic. In an ideal world, privatization would be cheaper when you open up to competitions, companies fighting to give the cheapest rate, best service. But in reality, when you're dealing with things as important as energy, you are taking a risk having it privatized with the possibility of companies' inability to provide. I know people in Toronto have some strange idea that TTC is the heart of the city, but energy really is. I don't think that kind of risks should be taken -- with things like energy or water -- things that affect our people's life most essentially.
