There are pages that show the current channels available in the diagnostics area of the DCX50. If you hold down the "Info" button for 5 seconds the diagnostic screen will appear. Next press "1 2 3" and the channel listing pages will show up. With Comcast Expanded Basic my unit has 90 channels, with various numbers between 1 and 617.
@mmehall,
Once you get to the Channel Table of the diagnostics area, it says "Screen 1 of 9" across the top, but pushing the channel Up/Down button of the remote takes you out of the Channel Table and into the "regular" diagnostic screens. So, which buttons do you push to navigate to screens 2-9 of the Channel Table?
use the "enter" button on the remote to step through the channel screens

My DTAs from Comcast did not work when I received them. It took hours of talking to them, until finally two days later someone called back with a solution.
At least in the Twin Cities, the Thomson boxes that are being sent out do not have the correct software for Comcast. To update.
1) Hold 'info' on the remote until the diagnostic screen appears.
2) Enter 3, 8, 2, enter (This tells the Comcast to send a software update.)
3) Wait 5-10 minutes until the new software is downloaded and there is an 'interruption' message on the screen.
4) Repeat steps 1-3 for each box.
5) Go to comcast.com/digitalnow, enter your unique ID, select all boxes, and click enter to have Comcast resend the initialization to the boxes.
