LDTP (Linux Desktop Testing Project -- http://ldtp.freedesktop.org) is a
framework which provides Python bindings in order to automate test cases for
accessibility enabled applications. It is one of the most widely used
frameworks for automated regression and functional testing in the open source
world.
My paper will cover the following topics (most of them will be hands on):
* Introduction to Accessibility Technologies (including at-spi, atk)
* Introduction to automated testing and striking features of LDTP (all input in
XML, support for Python bindings, logging functions, support in jhbuild)
* Introduction to LDTP internals (appmaps, python bindings for client, C engine)
* Current and future work in LDTP
* A hands on demo on using LDTP (creating data/script xml files, automating a
simple test case for gedit)
* How to hack the code (Resources, Debugging tips)
* How to contribute and start working with LDTP
