Notes for Umineko no Naku Koro Ni:

Episode 1 - Main Story:
1-Nanjo is talking to Genji in the Master's (Lord

Goldsmith's/Ushiromiya Kinzo's) room.
2-Therefore, Kinzo was not in the room with him. Why were they in

there, to uphold appearances? Episodes 5 implies so.
3-They could have been discussing Kinzo's will, inheritence and

such.
4-Battler and George drink alcohol. They don't seem to smoke.

Battler is a minor but he has drunk alcohol, though on the island he

doesn't do so until much after the murders start.
5-George has a job, although it's not stated what it is.

1-Battler has trouble finding clothes that fit him, since he is

taller than most japanese people.
2-Battler has done "nonstop muscle training" and has taken

"suspicious drugs" for "reinforcing muscle strength".
3-Battler hates his name, stating that "His parents and the public

official who accepted it are on the top of his must-kill list".
4-George is turning 23 this year, 5 years older than Battler. This

makes Battler 18.
5-Hideyoshi has multiple accents, in order to impress people he does

business with. He usually uses a Kansai dialect, even though he's

from Kanto.

1-Battler does not really get along with his Dad that well, though

they can talk to eachother. He thinks of Kyrie like an older girl in

his nieghborhood instead of as his mother. They're "Pretty close,"

according to himself.
2-Battler says Kyrie is not his real mother. This could be because

he thinks Asumu is his real mother.
3-Kinzo Ushiromiya gives all his children western names. They gave

THEIR children western names too, for some reason.
4-Kinzo's children do not get along well, and all need money for

some reason.
5-Eva and George both know martial arts. Eva knows chinese martial

arts, she's learned karate, tae-kwon-do and capoeira, and perhaps

more.

1-Ange was sick and had to stay home for the conference this year

(1986). She was at the last conference, 6 years ago (1980).
2-Battler hasn't been to Rokkenjima since 1980.
3-Battler hates planes, boats, anything that shakes or moves

"uncontrollably" and he's afraid of falling.
4-The family conference is usually in October, and Japan at that

time of year is prone to typhoons. Or was, if weather patterns are

different in the present day.
5-Eva and Rudolf argue like brats.

1-George is very much like a gentleman thanks to the way Eva brought

him up. He went to university, and works at his dad's company as an

aide. He was originally an apprentice whie still studying.
2-Battler respects George a lot. He himself, is in high school and

considers his school life idle. He'd like to meet girls.
3-Battler was offered "apprenticeship" at his dad's company, but

that job would have started with cleaning toilets. Battler wants to

clear his own path in life, and make money in a fun, happy-go-lucky,

all-smiles way.
4-Maria is 9 years old, but she still uses "Uu!", a sound children

tend to make when they're young in japan. Rosa is very annoyed by

this, and finds it to be immature and the reason no kids want to be

around her. Maria is also obsessed with witchcraft, which Rosa also

hates.
5-Maria was 3 years old in 1980's conference, thus could not

remember Battler. She has no connection to Battler's sin.

1-Maria apparently doesn't show what she's thinking with her facial

expressions. Also, her name has a "Cross" character in the japanese,

to be exact, it's the "A" character.
2-Rosa doesn't mock people, but she's the youngest, so she was

bullied the most out of the siblings.
3-Eva, Hideyoshi, George, Rudolf, Kyrie, Battler, Rosa and Maria all

met at the airport before boarding the plane to Rokkenjima.
4-That means that Nanjo, Natsuhi, Krauss, Genji, Shannon, Kanon,

Kumasawa and Jessica were all already on the island. Jessica lives

there with her parents, and the servants are on duty every single

day (though the exact servants working varies on time and day).
5-If the killer is with the initial group, they cannot have carried

over metal weapons, because boarding planes requires being checked

with a metal detector.

1-Candies protect the ears from hurting (which hurt because of

variations in atmospheric pressure when landing or taking off. Or

something like that.)
2-The pilot of the plane is named Kawabata. How is this a noteworthy

thing to jot down?
3-The airline is New Tokyo Aviation, the flight is flight 201. There

is a 20 minute flight from -blank- to Niijima.
4-It takes 30 minutes by boat to get from Niijima to Rokkenjima.
5-Jessica was born the same year as Battler, so she's eighteen too.

1-Battler is physically stronger than Jessica, at least if Jessica

was serious with her brawl with Battler.
2-Jesssica was a bossy brat six years ago, according to Battler.
3-Kumawasa and Jessica actually came to Niijima to greet the family

before heading to Rokkenjima.
4-Kumasawa likes to put off work by using her old age and conditions

as excuses, even though she seems to be perfectly fine. A common

excuse is her labago acting up/having a headache. She must be

pushing eighty years old. She has a bad back.
5-The boat owner/captain tinkers with the boat, so it's modded to

the point that it can break 40 knots, thanks to the four-base high

efficiency propellers.

1-Battler kinda goes back to his home every now and then, since he

left lots of clothes and stuff like that back at his old house.
2-Battler has two houses, the one he's lived at for six years, his

grandparents place, and his parents house which he moved back to

after his grandparents died.
3-Rokkenjima is a part of the Izu archipelago, and it's a small

island about 10km around. It's calld "The Izu Seven", which makes

people think there are seven islands, but that's not true. There are

more than seven, and Rokkenjima isn't even considered a part of the

main seven islands.
4-Rokkenjima is privately owned by the Ushiromiya family, and isn't

known by many outside the Ushiromiya family. Thus, it isn't in any

travel guides.
5-The island has two harbors, two mansions, a well, a church,

forest, a few paths, a beach, a garage/tool shed, a guest house and

a rose garden.

1-The head house of the Ushiromiya family possesses a vast fortune.

Battler's dad and the rest of the (branch) family(ies) are

stockpiling a considerable amount of assets, and "succeeding" in

their businesses, or so Battler thinks at the beginning.
2-The Torii on top of a small crag on Rokkenjima island is missing.

It was apparently destroyed by Shannon so that she and George would

get to become a couple.
3-Maria was sure misfortune would fall uon the island. Might be

because of the mix of the dark clouds and the destroyed shrine.
4-Gohda began working of the Ushiromiya head house the year before

last, which incidentally would be 1984.
5-The seagulls don't cry until after the storm has passed. They

probably sensed it before it started.

1-George probably kindly took care of Battler when he was on

Rokkenjima six years ago, apparently having been a brat back then.
2-Originally, every member of the family all were supposed to stay

at the mansion, but since the guesthouse was built, it was

convenient for a large crowd of people. The adults could stay at the

mansion while the kids relaxed at the guesthouse.
3-There's a twisting path from the shore that leads up to stone

steps, which in turn lead to the guesthouse. The path was probably

created the way it is instead of entirely being a straight line of

stairs to create a feeling of importance while also adding extra

distance.
4-The rose garden included red and yellow flowers. I couldn't say

which kind of flowers they are personally, but they seem to be both

roses and also additionally, a flower exclusive or more commonly

found on the Izu landscapes.
5-Even before the guesthouse was built, the rose garden existed.

1-There was a single dying rose in the rose garden, which Maria felt

bad for. She decided to nurture it back to health. To remember which

rose it was, George wrapped it with candy wrapping paper.
2-Battler remembers Shannon from six years ago, but Kanon, who is

short and seemingly young (16 years old), only began working there

three years ago. He's unsociable and a poor speaker.
3-Gohda was originally a cheif at a pretty high quality hotel, but

was given a better job once scouted out by Kinzo. Gohda has great

manners, and is susceptible to superstition.
4-Kumasawa loves to gossip, and knows all sorts of dark stories that

would cause a stir, apparently even events that happened on

Rokkenjima.
5-Kanon seems to have a self-image complex, seeing himself only as

furniture to serve the guests.

1-The guesthouse was built the year before the last year. Since the

year is 1986, that means 1984.
2-Battler is referred to as the guest of honor by Rudolf. Is it only

because he hadn't been there for six years?
3-Kinzo, who is actually dead at the start of all games, is said to

be holed up in his room, busy researching the occult. He's

apparently arrogant, stubborn, and ill-tempered. And dead. And his

corpse may be missing. He's also a feared and respected man. Jessica

wishes he'd stay in his room, but it's odd how that's exactly what

ended up happening.
4-Battler, having been 13 years old 6 years ago, was in grade school

when he came to Rokkenjima last.
5-Jessica has reason to dislike her parents and grandfather,

considering how strict they all are on her, talking about her

grades, and in the case of Kinzo, even beating her ass with a wooden

stick. Jessica being the daughter of the eldest son (Kinzo's first

child) meant she'd be the heiress of the family, thus the burden was

heavily lifted onto her to become a proper lady, which she doesn't

seem interested in at all, to the point of being a tomboy (and even

talking like a guy).

1-Silver spoons are used to test tea for poison. Because Shannon did

not know what tea she had prepared due to her clumsiness, Eva teased

her by suggesting they test the tea for poison.
2-Additionally, Shannon and Kanon are disliked by Gohda and hated by

Natsuhi.
3-The master is also a truly cruel person. He probably did not

realize his own trifling whims passed so much of an inferiority

complex to his wife. (So Krauss is the master since Kinzo is dead).
4-Battler comments how they all haven't really changed that much

since the last time he came to the island, all of them are still

kids on the inside. Of course, Goerge is the most grown-up.
5-Battler is a bad influence on Maria, getting her to promise to let

him rub her chest when she's older.

1-Battler brought something to the island with him, something that

was missing for years, the goofy personality that allowed people to

have fun and joke around.
2-Shannon is timid, so she trembled when greeting Battler after six

years. She's easily embarrassed. (Actually, this is only because

Battler tried to grope her breasts.)
3-Battler gave the A-OK for Shannon to slap him when he tries to

grope her.
4-Shannon has worked for the family for 10 years. Meaning she

started working on Rokkenjima in 1976. Interestingly, she was 6

years old then, meaning she was born in 1970.
5-Kinzo, who loves western things and has a western taste, made the

buildings on the mansion styled after western houses, gave his kids

western names, and even gave his most trusted servants western

psuedonyms.

1-Kinzo took in Shannon and Kanon as orphans from the same

orphanage. Shannon started work at the age of 6 (as stated before).
2-Maria thinks it's nice to be unsociable like Kanon, proving all

girls love emos.
3-The main mansion on Rokkenjima was built right after WWII. The

island could have been a military base during the war, assumedly

given to Kinzo with a lot of money due to his influence during WWII.

Could the real Beatrice have been a military soldier?
4-Shannon left the group as they entered the mansion. Genji took

over for leading the guests around the mansion.
5-Kinzo seemingly trusted Genji more than anyone else, even his wife

or relatives. He's the only servant other than Shannon or Kanon with

the one-winger eagle on his personage.

1-The portrait of Beatrice is in front of the stairs that lead to

the second floor of the mansion. The portrait was hung up two years

before 1986, meaning in 1984. It was hung up in april, as ordered by

the Master.
2-If by chance you fell down a hole in the depths of the forest on

the island and sprained your ankle, no one would come to save you,

because since only the Ushiromiya family are on the island, nobody

walks in the forest. As such, the paths have no lights or phones,

either. And certainly no guideposts. This is apparently the believed

reason for the myth of Beatrice, to scare people from entering the

forest and preventing them from getting lost and hurt.
3-Apparently, Kinzo went mad after hanging the picture.
4-There's one extra seat for Rosa's husband at the dining room, even

though her husband is not supposed to come. Although Kinzo's chair,

the Incepient's Chair was also empty, since Kinzo is dead.
5-Kinzo seemingly was chauvnistic, thinking women (other than

Beatrice) as borrowed wombs, so their children would be viewed as

higher ranked than them. Assumedly, his marriage was arranged by his

family, since he did not take kindly to women.

1-Kinzo was the kind of person who was never, ever late. In other

words, his behavior of staying locked up in his room is strange for

his very character.
2-Krauss said to Nanjo that his father is already dead, and that the

one in the study is a phantom of what was his father.
3-"Now, Kinzo had placed a secure lock in his own room", does that

imply the self-lock for the room wasn't always there?
4-"It was actually liquor", "in this suspicious looking room",

"whether it isn't actually some kind of ghastly poison." Could these

be hints for a murder?
5-Apparently, Kinzo believes in magic, but only thinks magic will

work if there is a low chance of success.

1-Since 1985, they keep saying Kinzo has 3 months left to live.
2-The Uroshimya family conference was held once every year, and took

place on the first weekend of October. This would mean in this year,

1986, it was on the 4th. However, the year before, it was on the

5th, and the year before that, the 6th, and it'd have been held on

the 1st of Octoberin 1983. At least realistically speaking.
3-Battler, thinking that everyone in his family was successful in

business, thinks that the family conference became a normal yearly

get-together. It used to be very serious and harsh when the family

members all needed money from the head, Kinzo.
4-Nanjo wasn't working for the Ushiromiya family as Kinzo's head

physician 6 years ago (1980, the last time Battler came to the

island). Kinzo wasn't ill then, and Nanjo was supposedly just

sometimes visiting Rokkenjima thanks to his friendship with Kinzo.
5-Kinzo's story began before the Showa Era (1926-1989), and Until

the Meiji (1868-1912) and Taishou (1912-1926) eras, the Ushiromiya

family was great and prosperous.

1-Originally, Kinzo was a member of a branch family, himself. He had

no connection to the head at the time, and was unconnected with the

inheritance and was distant from the head house. Apparently.
2-The great Kanto earthquake on the 12th year of the Taishou era

flattened Odawara. This quake was the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake
3-As such, only the branch family, including Kinzo, survived. It

thusly became a matter of who would become the first heir of the new

head family. Thus, Kinzo was able become the head easily, since he

was chosen based on birth defect of having six toes on both his feet

(considered a sign of good luck).
4-Kinzo made connections with the occupying forces. At that time,

McArthur and the GHQ were in charge" of the forces.
5-This all happened in the 25th year of the Showa era, therefore,

1950.

1-The Kanto quake struck the Kanto plain on the Japanese main island

of Honshu, and took place in the 13th year of the Taisho era, at

11:58:44 am JST on September 1, 1923
2-The quake had a magnitude of 7.9 on the Richter scale, with its

focus deep beneath Izu Oshima Island in Sagami Bay.
3-It took about 20 years for Kinzo to revive the near-dead

Ushiromiya family, to an even higher level than it had been before.
4-Rokkenjima was established as a marine resource base thanks to

Kinzo applying to GHQ for it. He took over the island and claimed it

as his own afterwards.
5-Thanks to his sponsorship from GHQ, nobody could oppose him. The

Tokyo Metropolis had almost no money at the time, so Kinzo was given

the requested land. Tokyo tried to take it back, but GHQ intervened.

1-For dinner, the family had Sashimi salad, as well as fish caught

in the adjacent seas, prepared by Gohda. Why is this important?
2-Natsuhi was the one who hired Gohda, from a famous hotel, which

had a staff system that was split into factions thanks to employee

politics. Apparently, right before he was offered his job, he was

forced to retire, so he was very lucky.
3-Krauss had predicted the business boom in japan and the raising

value of yen, yet had timed his prediction wrong and tried to create

multiple resorts. They all failed not only because of this, but also

because he didn't have faith in his investments and sold them off

early rather than keeping the investment around until the boom

happened.
4-The guesthouse was built by Krauss, as a hotel for the Rokkenjima

resort, and the rose garden has been improved and maintained for the

same purpose. Kinzo must have already been dead by that time, so

Kinzo must have died sometime in or before 1984. Krauss has wasted

lots of money doing just this, and a lot more on other failing

resorts all over, which he had decided to sell before the boom,

thanks to his incorrect iming on his busniess investments.
5-In the beginning, before Kinzo had built connections with the

occupying forces, he was supposedly a person who had not yet gained

anyone's trust.

1-Battler's grandma, Kinzo's wife, is the one who spread the story

about Beatrice, to keep Kinzo's children from getting lost and hurt

in the forest.
2-Kinzo should have had the gold before coming onto the island, so

there's no reason for him to put it on the island. But supposedly,

it is on the island. Episode 4 and 5 both seem to confirm this as

far as anyone can tell. George reasons that perhaps the gold was on

the island in the first place.
3-Every sibling has an urgent need of a lot of money very quickly,

thus are impatient to get their portion of the inheritance. Krauss

is apparently the only one who doesn't need money right away, except

of course, the servants and cousins.
4-According to the illusion of Kinzo, his game to revive Beatrice is

supposed to end when somebody solves the epitaph and finds the gold.

Seems there's more to it, since murders occur regardless if the gold

was found.
5-"The miracle of life can be granted only after winning the divine

odds of several hundred million to one."

1-Before the war, the Uroshiromiya family had a mansion near

Odawara.
2-Sweetfish in Odawara would have to be in Hayakawa. It's famous for

its mountain stream fishing.
3-Odawara Castle is down Hayakawa river.
4-Sogakishi is near the shore. Battler was told about it by Jessica

and Shannon, thus "the two will tell you of the shore". Although

Maria, George and Battler also discussed the shore, so it's just on

a technicality, so don't take this hint too seriously.
5-Sogakishi is in the mountains, and it's at the base of Asama

Mountain.

1-Since the mansion was built, the "ghost story" of Beatrice has

been told.
2-One of the people living on the island, either one of the older

servants or the family members, seems to have been trying to make it

seem there really is a witch by moving items that were left around,

turning on lights that were off, walking around at night, and using

some method to fake glittering butterflies and will-o-wisps

(probably just claiming these things happened), even drawing red

magic circles with crappy hebrew.
3-Maria seems to know the most about Beatrice.
4-Shannon heard from some of the other young servants about how the

scorpion is drawn as a magic repelling symbol. The only young

servants I know of are Kanon, and assumedly Renon and Manon.
5-Shannon went back before the others, and the rose disappeared from

the rose garden before they got back to the mansion. I say, Shannon

must have taken it! Was it to get Maria to search for it until Rosa

was lured out to find Maria, so Shannon could kill them both?

1-Rosa, for some reason, headed to the Rose garden. Either to look

at the roses, or she had some business at the guesthouse. Maybe she

took the rose?
2-Rosa is bothered by Maria's use of the word "Uu!" over and over,

and her hobbies about witches and magic.
3-Nobody at the dinner lent Maria her umbrella. Or at least, not the

siblings, cousins or Nanjo. Even Kumasawa, Gohda and Shannon deny

having done so. Kanon denies even seeing Maria. Someone is most

likely lying, maybe Kanon.
4-Six years ago, Battler would have taunted the dejected Jessica. He

only taunted her slightly when she was shocked to see her parents

fight over money so greedily.
5-Battler is the first person to bring up the Devil's Proof, using

it to reason "You can't deny that a 19th person exists".

1-Kyrie, being so intelligent, is the first to suggest a 19th person

could not exist, and that one of the 18 people is Beatrice. Also,

she probably has figured out Kinzo is dead, so she realizes there

are even less than 18.
2-Rudolf has something important to tell Battler before the dinner

occurs, but suggests telling him after dinner.
3-Rudolf knew he would probably be killed that night, somehow.
4-Despite these contradicting facts, he goes off telling them not to

follow. Kyrie reasons this as actually wanting Battler to follow him

and force him to tell Battler what he wanted to say.
5-Even so, Kyrie insisted she deal with Rudolf herself, so Battler

did not get to find out what his dad wanted to say.

1-"Kinzo" had planned to prepare Beatrice's dress, and someone,

probably Shannon, was made to wear it and deliver both the letter

and the umbrella.
2-Thanks to Krauss tracking down a single ingot from Kinzo's stash

of gold, which was given to a company to validate the authenticity

and purity of the gold, he had proven the gold's existence. He

solitarily used this gold as a head start to find the rest of the

gold, so that his plans for the island would not fall through. He

even kept the gold ingot a secret from his wife, Natsuhi, as to not

worry her.
3-If as fans suspect, Shannon's breasts are fake, George has to be

in on the disguise between Shannon and Kanon, because while the

Umbrella was being held over George by Shannon, her breasts rubbed

against George, and Battler teased him about it.
4-There is a servant's room in both the guesthouse and the main

mansion.
5-When Shannon headed there to check the servant's schedule for the

family conference, the cousins headed to their room and put Maria on

the bed. She was fast asleep.

1-According to Shannon, Kanon and Genji are in the servant's room

with her at this time.
2- The servant's schedules were modified greatly by Krauss

apparently, for some reason the shifts for the guesthouse and the

mansion were now almost completely reversed. Originally, Shannon and

Kanon had been given the night shift in the mansion, while the night

shift in the guesthouse, where all of the relatives were staying,

had been assigned to Gohda, who had an abundance of experience in

entertaining. Kumasawa should have been staying at the guesthouse,

while Genji should have been staying in the mansion.
3-Krauss most likely changed the schedule because of the letter from

Beatrice, suspecting the subordinates of Kinzo (Shannon, Kanon and

Genji) of sending the letter in the first place. So the shift change

clearly expressed the sense of mistrust that caused.
4-Shannon and Kanon were brought up in an orphanage known as the

Fukuin House, owned by Kinzo. Excellent graduates were given the

chance to live a life of service. Genji was spending the night in

the guesthouse.
5-Servants from the Fukuin House all took names with the character

"on" in them whle they served, ie Shannon, Kanon, Renon, Manon and

perhaps others. Genji, is thusly, not from the Fukuin house, and

neither is Kumasawa, Gohda or Nanjo.

1-Servants from the Fukuin house usually quit after three years,

which gets them a sufficient enough amount of wealth to live in

society. Shannon, who has worked over ten years, must have a lot of

saved up. Genji, Nanjo and Kumasawa should have enough money to

retire for the rest of their lives, yet continue to serve the

Ushiromiya family.
2-On Rokkenjima, there were no humans other than the family.
3-Even servants are human. They can sometimes be late when they are

unable to wake up.
4-In the rare case when that happened, clamoring to hide the

unsightly scene and making sure that the presence of such a mistake

was never noticed by the master were just some of a servant's

virtues.
5-The extension phoneline seems to be down starting on the second

day of the family conference.

1-Even though most of the time Natsuhi would carelessly call Kinzo

names for staying up in his own room, she actually longed to do so

herself.
2-Natsuhi has a small mirror, 10cm around, which has an ornate

design. It is said to be a spiritual mirror to ward off evil

spirits.
3-No servant had even come to Natsuhi so early in the morning

before, nor had they come to her directly.
4-There was a dark red liquid on Natsuhi's door around the doorknob,

and it looked as though something had been tearing at it with

bloodsoaked hands.
5-Gohda was missing, and so was Krauss. Rudolf and his wife were

also missing, along with Rosa as well.

1-Eva and Hideyoshi went back to bed just after midnight.
2-The rest of the family were still having a heated discussion at

that point.
3-The study would always lock itself, and couldn't be unlocked as

long as Kinzo forbade entrance. However, since Genji was especially

trusted by Kinzo, he was allowed to carry a key to that door.
4- Genji gave the key to Natsuhi, meaning that Natsuhi now had one

of the only two keys to Kinzo's study. WHo has the other one?
5-Meanwhile, the cousins were still sleeping in their room. Maria

woke up before them though, since she went straight to bed.

1-The cousins were woken up by Maria at seven o' clock.
2-Natsuhi was "told by Kinzo" that "The One-Winged Eagle is surely

engraved in your heart," but since that Kinzo is an illusion since

Kinzo is dead at the start of all games, this is just her own

delusion.
3-The rose garden storehouse was a place that housed various tools

used to manage the gaden. It was definitely not a pretty building.

Because of its appearance, it had been built hidden in a corner of

the rose garden.
4-On the shutter, there was something that looked like a strange

dark-red liquid. Maybe it was some sticky paint (or blood). And

indescribably eerie shape was drawn on the shutter with some kind of

ghastly substance. The rain had caused it to drip down like fresh

blood leaking from an open wound. It was a magic circle with sloppy

hebrew on it. It was drawn last night sometime after Kanon checked

the shed, apparently.
5-Rigor mortis has set in across the entire body. Probably at least

six hours have passed since death. As far as Nanjo could tell from

looking at the damaged area, there is a high probability that they

were damaged after their deaths.

1-A lawn mower with extra blades, a grass sickle and a hammer, a saw

and some construction tools were in the storhouse. Also there were

piled up potted plants and bags of fertilizer.
2-The bodies' faces were smashed, forced into an expression that a

normal person couldn't make even after death.
3-Shannon had put the ring George gave her on her left hand, on her

ring finger. Thus, she accepted the engagement to get married with

George before she died. Also, if Shannon and Kanon are the same

person, then a fake double body has to be the solution, unless

there's actually no body there, since I don't think Battler verified

it. Kanon is checking the bodies in the shed with everyone else,

after all.
4-There is an emergency radio on the island. Genji apparently uses

it to contact the police, but they still can't get there until the

typhoon passes.
5-In addition to the main lock on the rose garden storehouse

shutter, there is a place where you can attach your own lock in

front of it.

1-In the dining hall, there is also blood. Perhaps that is

originally where everyone was killed.
2-The radio apparently didn't work, so Genji was unable to call the

police. But a boat is supposed to come on Monday morning, so he

believes they will be able to borrow their communications equipment.
3-Krauss' boat is being repaired and is not on the island. Also, the

weather is too bad to even take a boat to the closest island,

Niijima.
4-Maria says the culrit isn't human. It's just the six chosen by the

key.
5-Kinzo was not in his room when Eva and Natsuhi checked. He had

apparently gone missing!

1-If the culprit had taken the trouble to move the corpses of Rudolf

and the rest, who the family figured had been killed in the dining

hall, all the way to the storehouse, maybe they had already killed

Kinzo, moved his corpse to some strang location, and the family had

simply not found it yet.
2-If the bodies had been found thrown somewhere in the bushes of the

rose garden, there wouldn't have been much to go on.
3-However, if there was only one key to the storehouse in the

servants' room, and it was stored with such a large group of keys, a

novice would not be able to tell them apart.
4-This meant that the culprit was someone who could normally enter

the servants' room, and knew where the key was well.
5-The culprits would have more than enough weapons in their arsenal

in the case that a servant is the murderer. They had to assault the

four in the dining hall and kill them, drag a total of six bodies

all the way to the storehouse beyond the rouse garden, and scribble

that disgusting makeup on their faces (plus have enough time left to

draw the magic circle on the shutter). There is no way a single

culprit could carry all of this out on their own.

1-A servant is someone who serves as someone else's arms and legs.

Everyone who was killed had some relation to the Ushiromiya family.

So naturally, it was someone who had some interest in that result.
2-If the servants were the culprits, why would they purposefully put

the bodies in a place only the servants could reach, the storehouse?

It's making the crime too obvious to solve.
3-If you think about it this way, and look at the game from the

culprit's side, it would seem pointless for them to let the corpses

be found.
4-If the bodies were found, a report would be sent to the police,

the ramaining people would become even more cautious, and they could

start looking for the culprit. None of these things would make the

culrpit feel any more comfortable.
5-Just like the words of the main character's mother in a novel

Battler read recently called "Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni".
A mystery story had four parts: Introduction, Development, Turn and

Conclusion. Eliminating the first part was essential for the perfect

crime.

1-This state of confusion had to be beneficial to the culprit.
2-The murders are a message to someone, "to us", from the culprit.
3-It was very possible to doubt Eva herself, who was acting like she

was outside the net of suspicion, and who might have been trying to

point that suspicion at the servants.
4-Eva is the most suspicious to have planned a murder that cast

suspicion on the servants, however, because of this, she views it

actually as a setup to make her be blamed for the murders by

everyone. Yet, she doesn't seem faltered by the fact she's

suspicious.
5-If you look at it from one side of the "chessboard", it'd point to

the servants. But from the other side, Eva becomes suspicious. But

because both these conclusions become obvious considering the logic

behind them, both seem either close to the truth, or far from

finding the real truth.

1-The magic circle would be meaningless to people who don't know of

the occult, so it might have been something addressed to Kinzo (or

Maria).
2-That magic circle required six sacrifices to free someone from

bonds. These did not have to be literal bonds to be freed from an

actual jail, but could have been mental bonds or the like.
3-Since the witch sent her letter, the island of ROkkenjima seems

supernatural. So it's perfectly natural for someone to sacrifice six

people for a magic circle
4-So what will happen next? Will some weird people wearing goat

masks start doing the Bon Festival dance or something?
5-First off, at the time the murders were committed by the culprit,

they knew that the island was cut off by the typhoon.
Therefore, they should have understood that even if they carried out

the murders, they wouldn't be able to get away until the next

morning.

1-Since this morning, the culprit must have been watching over

everyone's moves with bated breath.
2-The culrprit wanted to make it appear that the people had been

killed so brutally.
3-The killer must have drawn the magic circle in pitch-black

darkness, taking a lot of time and holding an umbrella in one hand.

Isn't that amount of hard work and perfectionism impressive?
4-Natsuhi has a hunting gun, which is small. It's from Kinzo's old

collection. I think there are four in total. It is a Winchester

shotgun.
5-According to the servants, a person named Beatrice actually

exists, and actually gave Kinzo the large quantity of gold, and

worked at Kinzo's side. She was working for the master (Kinzo)

before the mansion was built on Rokkenjima. Most likely, she has

worked for Kinzo longer than Genji.

1-Apparently, Beatrice has no form. Sometimes, Beatrice changes her

body into the form of glittering butterflies when she appears. If

you see them, you absolutely must not chase after them. It is

whispered that you will meet with disaster if you follow.
2-The story is compared to "The North Wind and the Sun" a lot, so

it's probably important to read that. But in this case, it refers to

the fact that if you force someone to stay shut in, they'll resist,

but if you tell them to do whatever they want, they'll come back

obediently.
3-When Battler was younger, he would try to excell in sports since

he couldn't excell in studying. This let him become different than

other students, and was part of gaining his individuality. He also

apparently thought being a little bastard to people was cool.
4-From the way George speaks, it seems as though he thinks Maria has

made up Beatrice as a duel personality from herself. Perhaps, at

least the Beatrice Maria knows of, is her delusion.
5-Battler hasn't told anyone, but when he was in kindergarten, he

joined up with a little gang of kids trying to form a Earth Defence

Force, saying they'd help protect peace on earth.

1-Even in our modern society of reason, we were still unable to

throw away every trace of belief and fear. You could say that it was

a passive acceptance of the supernatural.
2-By committing the crime at midnight, it makes it seem more likely

one of the people currently on the island was the culprit. If they

wanted to make it seem there was another person aside the known

people on the island, it would make more sense to do it at a time

that made it seem all the others were innocent.
3-They say most people who have died in battles were killed by

wounds from arrows. In a battle you couldn't just shoot off one

arrow. You shoot off a whole bunch of arrows at once, and attack the

enemy soldiers with a wall of them. (Sounds familiar to how the blue

truth and theories work in Umineko, obviously on purpose- "Attack

with a wall of truth...!".)
4-There is no way to get in Kinzo's study except the entrance. By

entrance, this refers to the door which has an autolock. (There are

two keys to that door, though. Genji only handed one to Natsuhi-

where is the other one?)
5-Kinzo's study was remodelled at some point, and Genji was allowed

to overee that. Thus, he assured everyone that there are no hidden

doors and the room is a closed room. The other servants all agreee

there are no hidden doors.

1-Eva put a candy receipt in between the door to Kinzo's study,

folded so nobody would notice it. She had put it there after Natsuhi

had left the study, and made sure it was still in the same spot

before Natsuhi opened the study again. Ergo, nobody left or entered

the room since the receipt was put there.
2-This morning, when Natushi went to check that Grandfather was

there, she lied, and he was already dead at that time.
3-She might have been the one to move Kinzo's corpse, however,

anyone could have moved it that had access to the location of

Kinzo's body. In the first place, where was Kinzo's corpse stored on

Rokkenjima, and why hasn't it been buried? The answer to the latter

is clear, if Kinzo was supposed to be alive, they could not have the

corpse be known, so they hid it without even burrying it. Perhaps it

was hidden under Natsuhi's bed?
4-Kinzo's study isn't normal. There's a bathroom, a kitchen and even

a bedroom. It's like a miniature house. He could have hidden in any

part of it which would normally not be checked, like under the bed!
5-Jessica has asthma, and thus requires an inhaler when she has

coughing fits.

1-Beatrice is familiar with all 72 demons. The 33rd ranked, Gaap,

gives the power to instantly carry the desired person to any

location.
2-In short, even though there are more than 18 people, there are

less than 19 people. The number of people in this mansion is

19>X>18. So the number of people can't be represented by an integer.
However, it's impossible for there to be anything after the decimal

point. You shouldn't be able to show the number of people with

anything but an integer. And yet, 19>X>18. How do you explain the

fraction less than 1?
3-The boat would probably come at nine o' clock tomorrow, on the

third day of the family conference.
4-Kumasawa was brought up in a fishing village, and had become quite

the skilled cook. This is probably why she jokes about Mackerel so

much.
5-Nanjo had escaped from the parlor once the mood had become sour,

and Genji had become his opponent in a game of chess upon Nanjo's

request.

1- Could it be that Genji was calm because he believed that he only

was on the outside of the chessboard and safe? Isn't everyone just a

piece on this chessboard, lines up equally, without any exceptions?

Wasn't even Genji, who had gained more of Kinzo's trust than anyone,

and confident of his position as Kinzo's only close friend just

another one of the pieces laid out on the chessboard?
2- The guest room that Eva and Hideyoshi had moved into had

originally been built to house guests before the guesthouse had been

constructed.
3- Maybe it'd be better if everyone else also shut themselves in

guest rooms and locked the doors. (Sounds like the case of Episode

6!)
4-Six months had passed after Krauss' marriage to Natsuhi without

any signs of pregnancy, which didn't please Kinzo at all.
5-Eva herself had thought that, since when she married, her name

would be moved outside the Ushiromiya register anyway, it didn't

matter whether the successor to the head was born or not. She then

had a genius idea to marry and remain in the register by giving

birth to a successor before Natsuhi and Krauss could.

1-It hadn't been easy to persuade Kinzo, but as his daughter, Eva

knew Kinzo's personality well. So, by choosing the time when Kinzo

was most dissatisfied with Natsuhi, she was magnificently able to

make him accep Hideyoshi as a son-in-law.
2-Looking at Hideyoshi, who had achieved success after starting from

nothing, Kinzo might have seen a little bit of himself. He quickly

grew to like Hideyoshi, and permitted him to transfer into the

Ushiromiya register.
3-After Hideyoshi lost his relatives in the war, Eva taught him once

more what the warmth of family is. He thinks of the Ushiromiya

family as his only family.
4-The cousins had torn several pages of Maria's notes out, and there

was a mess where everyone had been drawing together. It shocked

Battler how well everyone can draw.
5-There is a large wire cutter in the storehouse (Is it the Rose

Garden one or is ther one on the first floor of the mansion as

well?). It was shaped like a large pair of pliers.

1-Kanon is the one who used the pliers to cut the chain on the door

to Eva and Hideyoshi's room.
2-Eva's forehead was stabbed with a weapon which was standing almost

perfectly upright. And on the handle was a complicated design that

you wouldn't expect to see on an ordinary weapon. A stake of

purgatory.
3-Hideyoshi was also stabbed with a weapon with a demon-like design

was stuck into his forehead. Another stake of purgatory.
4-The chain of the room was set. From what Battler saw, he's sure it

wasn't something that could be opened by some trick from the

outside. "This was a perfect closed room."
5-There were two ways into the mansion from the courtyard, and

neither of them were locked. Because the courtyard couldn't be

entered from outside the mansion, when it had been constructed, the

doors had been added without locks.

1-When the seagulls cry, the crime will be solved.
2-Including the handle, the stakes of purgatory are 25 centermeters

long. Half of that was the stake shaped part, stained with bright

red blood. They also had a drill-like tip and were like icepicks

with occult designs.
3-From what Natsuhi says, throughout Ushiromiya family history, of

the many heads praised most for their wisdom had all possessed

polydactyly (they all had six toes on both feet). Thus, when the

leading relatives all died in the Great Kanto Earthquake, it was

apparently argued that the one to ressurect the family should be

Kinzo, who had been born with an auspicious sign.
4-Had the culprit prepared a fake body beforehand, and disguised it

to make it look like they died while they hid somewhere after

committing the crime?
5-Kanon died from the stab wound from the Stake of Purgatory.

1-Beatrice said it herself. By the time the typhoon has passed, I

will have ended everything.
2-There's a high probability that the culprit has something that is

the equilivant of a master key.
3-There are two keys to Kinzo's study, one which Genji always has,

which he once lent to Natsuhi, and a second key, which Kinzo is

supposed to always have, and was found burnt with his corpse. It was

still in usable condition, though. It's possible the culprit already

had the key to Kinzo's room and merely put it on Kinzo's corpse,

regardless if the corpse is a duplicate or the real thing.
4-In Kinzo's room, there is a bed, a sofa, and blankets. There is

also a sink, a bathroom, a refrigerator and a liqour cabinet. Plus a

bookshelf, a desk and a suit of armor.
5-In the first place, chess is a game where both sides play by the

same rules, and fight by the same conditions for victory, which is

why it is possible to read the moves on both sides.
But what if the opponent is fickle or a little tired, and makes a

move that is difficult to call "the best"? Or maybe, what if the

game had special rules, and only the enemy knew them, and they could

make use of something unknown to you?

1-What if the opponent actually had some goal other than victory?
2-The manner in which the first six had been killed was still

unknown, but there was a possibility that it was poison. Of course,

if this were the case, even a single person would be able to carry

out the murder of six large adults.
3-Furthermore, this idea made it seem like there was a single

culprit, who was afraid of Natsuhi's rifle, which was very good for

everyone's emotional stability.
4-Perhaps the real Beatrice was Kinzo's concubine. People, even his

wife, suspected him of cheating on his wife.
5-The construction of the mansion was completed in Showa 27 (1952),

so Beatrice has been in a relationship with Kinzo for over thirty

years.

1-Could that concubine of thirty years ago, or maybe a relative or

hidden child with that person, hold some kind of grudge, and be

planning revenge?
2-Genji heard that, before the mansion was completed, Beatrice

passed away. Kinzo became obsessed with the occult after her death,

trying to revive Beatrice.
3-Kinzo was forced into a marriage with his wife by the surviving

Ushiromiya elders, and did not truly love his wife.
4-George has no clue how his parents were killed in the closed room.

But when they were killed, everyone except the servants had an

alibi.
5-Only one of the four of them could have set the letter there in

our blind spot.

1-After all, that means the servants have to leave the room knowing

that the wolf is among them (supposedly).
2-Kumasawa really was suspicious just for being the first one to

discover that Kanon-kun had been murdered.
As long as the use of some device or the existence of some

nineteenth person could not be established, Kumasawa was by far the

most likely suspect.
3-Kumasawa was scared of Maria's roguish laugh, and possibly afraid

of what she was saying as well.
4-Genji handed Natsuhi both his master key (his bundle of keys) and

the two keys to Kinzo's room. The other servants handed over their

master keys (bundles of keys) to her, as well. Nobody could get in

Kinzo's room without her permission after being kicked out.
5-"I have already recieved the Master's favor. ......All I have done

until today has been in repayment for that."

1-Battler started to research the Magic Circle he found with

Beatrice's last letter, becoming determined to find out its meaning.

Perhaps he was becoming obsessed with magic.
2-Maria's real father ran off somewhere a long time ago.
3-Maria's notes about the occult were lighthearted, depicting happy

witches who wore beatiful dresses and granted people's wishes and

made everyone happy. So why is she so creepy when she talks about

the occult now? The happiness given by the witches was created to

replace the unhappiness her mother caused by rejecting her.
4-"Jessica is, my precious daughter, who I finally received a whole

twelve years after I married my husband. I would become the wost

kind of demon to protect you."
5-The extension phone in Kinzo's room seems to work, since someone

(I assume the killer) called the family to let them hear Maria's

singing.

1-The outside telephone line was disconnected. You could call

anywhere on the island that had a phone, but not to any location off

of the island.
2-Even now, they were doing what the culprit wanted them to do.
3-This was a seperate world where it wouldn't be odd for anything to

suddenly occur.
4-In the first murder, the culprit had probably assaulted all four

of the parents at once as they discussed the inheritance problem in

the dining hall.
5-Maria was singing mechanically, like she was at a graduation

ceremony and she'd been ordered to.

1-The room was locked, but the phone in the room was off the hook.

The call had come from that room!
2-"Beatrice is a witch so locks don't matter. She turned into

butterflies and came through the crack in the door."
3-Natsuhi was alone in the entrance hall.
4-It seemed as if Natsuhi had shot herself in the forehead by the

time Battler and the cousins had gotten to her.
5-When you think about it, isn't 24:00 a strange time? It can be

called 24:00, it can be called 0:00. It was the hour at the

culmination of the previous day, and at the same time, it was hour

zero as the next day began.

Episode 1 - Tea Party:
1-Even one of Beatrice's witch friends says "Miracles won't occur if

you don't believe".
2-"Maybe we should have tried solving the epitaph's riddle from the

beginning, like Beatrice said."
3-"Don't you realize something like that can't exist?" Battler

denies the witch, even in the very end.
4-The culprit might have used some electrical tools like a grinder

or and electric saw to destroy the faces of the victims in the

storehouse.
5-It is possible that some device was used through the door crack to

kill Eva and Hideyoshi. (Except no device like that exists in that

time period, or even now.) Or some other method was used.

1-A human can't do it. Therefore, the culprit isn't human. And it is

a witch.
2-Kumasawa could have killed Kanon in the boiler room and lied about

it.
3-Or maybe, when Kanon stepped into the boiler room, he activated

some kind of trap, one that might have been set up to hit him with

one of those icepicks. (An impossible solution.)
4-What if the whole thing was Kanon playacting? Eva and Hideyoshi

were also playacting. They made the closed room themselves, and were

only pretending to be dead. (A somewhat rediculous argument.)
5-What if the culprit had pretended to be dead, mixed in with the

real victims, hiding themselves, and then later did something else?

(The most likely of Battler's theories.)

1-Maybe it was impossible for the first six, but for George's

parents, the door was only locked on the outside. So they could have

opened it from the inside. After they left the room, maybe Eva and

Hideyoshi (assuming they playacted being dead- it's more likely the

culprithid in the room though and) jumped out the window and got to

the boiler room first (or escaped the room some other way).
2-If you disguised it well enough, or prepared a substitute body,

you could fake death.
3-Battler will only accept that it's a witcin desperation, at the

very end, after everything else has been disproved.
4-If even a single person doesn't believe, the "miracle" won't

occur.
5-Real miracles happen whether people believe in them or not.

1-It seems that somehow, since the time Battler was born, he has had

a strong resistance to magical power.
2-All of the events can be explained with 'human tricks'.
3-When Beatrice first summons the seven stakes of purgatory, it

sounds like she's loading a gun. This could be a huge hint as to how

the murder of Eva and Hideyoshi was done.
4-"Your tricks aren't a thousand years old, they're just the

accumulation of one hundred years of fallbacks from the mystery

world!", Battler declares to Beatrice.
5-George's death is shown as his body being covered in blood, across

his whole body. Perhaps, his body was destroyed by an explosion.

Probably the only thing that even resembled a human was the shape of

his lower jaw and rib cage.

1-It was clear that Jessica, who was covered with a steadily

strengthening redness, was approaching the same end. Just like

George, as if she were a butcher's leftovers.
2-George and Jessica were now so destroyed, melted and mixed up, it

was impossible to tell them apart.
3-As Battler declares Beatrice as an enemy he'll never forgive, it

seems the music has beeping in it, like the countdown to a bomb

exploding. Probably coincidence.
4-The final sound before the end of the Tea party is a gunshot.

Perhaps, Battler was shot to death by the culprit before the bomb

exploded.
5-And so, all these hints combined, may lead you to the truth.

Battler refused to believe the witch until the very end, so you

should too. One gunshot is heard during thunder, at the end of the

credits. Is that a hint, too?

Episode 1 - ????:
1-Frederica Berkenstel is introduced. She is a Witch of the Kakera

who has lived for a thousand years. It is said that she lives in a

world where concepts like fate and possibility can be visualized.

She observes the fate of humans, and sometimes interferes.
In other words, sometimes she is both you, and she's also your

closest friend. Do you understand?
She likes wine and spicy foods. She hates boredom and people who

never learn.
2-Bernkastel had defeated another witch, Lady Lambdadelta in an

"endurance contest" in which Bern claims she won because Lambda

became tired. Though, this isn't the way Lambda sees it.
3-Lambda has a dreadful power. The power to kill an individual

'without fail". However, in this world, "without fail" doesn't

exist. Just like you can't ever reach zero, no matter how much you

divide 1. She has the power to bring the odds of failure down to

'almost exactly zero'...the power to give rise to 'almost perfect

certainty".
4-Bernkastel has the power to cause success without fail, 'as long

as the odds are not zero'. Beatrice points out that Bern gladly says

there is no "without fail' in this world, but she possesses
 an 'infallible' power'.
5-Beatrice has the power to "endlessly" kill one person.

1-When Bern rolls a dice, she has a roll she clearly wants to get.

Beatrice never lets the dice fall from her hand. So, whatever the

roll might have been, she's not disappointed. Whatever roll the dice

might show her, she's satisfied 'without fail'.
2-About Beatrice. She does have the name Beatrice, but that doesn't

necessarily mean that she is 'one individual woman'. See what Bern

means? In other words, she's not some human. Her existence is a

personification of the rules of this world.
To beat her, you have to expose the rules of this world, and unravel

them.
3-If we were to compare, it would be something like learning the

rules by watching a game of chess where you don't know them.
4-First, take a good look at the chessboard. Then, learn the

movements and roles of the pieces. Then, look for the conditions

required to win at her game. When you've managed to expose those,

her heart will be exposed. After that, you can rip it apart or crush

it as you please.
5-SO, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I AM A WITCH, RIGHT?

You will have to read the ingame tips given to you at this point

yourself, and make your own deductions based off both those, while

keeping in mind these notes. Same goes for grimoires and other

profiles.

Episode 2 - Main Story:
1-Sometime, somewhere, George and Shannon apparently went to an

aquarium for a date.
2-They apparently continued the date in a restuarant in Okinawa.
3-Also, they apparently went to the beach afterwards and picked

shells.
4-George said he was sure Magic brought him and Shannon together.

Shannon agreed.
5-George suggests a punishment game for if Shannon uses an important

honorific after his name (-Sama), when they are alone.

1-On the reef, there was a torii and a smale shrine for the local

deity. It was probably built to worship the guardian deity of

Rokkenjima (Beatrice?).
2-In the shrine, there was an old-looking mirror, dim and dirty. If

it were an ordinary mirror, that'd probably give you a terribly bad

impression of its value. However, since the mirror had been offered

to this small shrine, it made you feel some kind of divinity.
3-If the person at the shrine did not break the mirror, nothing

would change in the slightest. This person apparently didn't believe

in the divine power of the mirror.
4-Until that day, this person fought with herself, between the good

side and the side which was an ally of the witch.
5-Is there any other effort I can make, as furniture imprisoned in

Rokkenjima? (This quote proves a servant broke the mirror, if this

scene isn't fantasy.)

1-The Ushiromiya family conference was a customary event held every

October, but relatives sometimes visited at other times. Of course,

they didn't come just to drink tea.
2-On this day, Eva's family had visited the head family on

Rokkenjima. (There is no indication of the actual date.)
3-The three people from Krauss' family and the three people from

Eva's family had gathered in the parlor, and were having a friendly

chat as they reported the news.
4-Genji had supposedly told Kinzo of Eva's family's arrival, but he

hadn't come down yet. He was probly immersed in his own 'research',

and couldn't spare the time.
5-This often happened, so the others waited patiently for their

fickle father to come down.

Episode 6 - Main Story:
1-Love does not envy, love does not boast.
2-People live for the sake of love. Therefore, today, you (Battler

and Erika) have fulfilled the purpose of your lives.
3-Oh, how great is the power to live, the power of love! I pray that

the brightness of this day blesses these two for all time!
4-The couple will now make an oath of eternal love. After that, they

will exchange rings.
5-Battler can't escape the inescapable closed room that he created

himself.

1-Somebody wanted to get out of their room, no matter what. They

felt like their whole world would be better outside the room.
2-Somebody hates chain locks. They tried to open it, to no avail.
3-Ange may have been seeing that in a nightmare. (Not the case, it

was simply coincidence- disregard this hint.)
4-Hachijo Tohya seems to be talking in a way that appears that

Ryukishi himself is talking through her, trolling his audience by

claiming that nobody truly reads his stories, no matter what he

writes about.
5-Hachijo seems to speak in a manner that regards herself as somehow

higher class, or even omnipotent compared to humans.

1-The way Ange talks about the message bottle forgers and the witch

hunters does seem very intentionally similar the situation of the

theorists and purists of the real Umineko community on Animesuki.

After all, the Witch ghunters were named after Witch Hunt, the

translation team. Perhaps Ryukishi is trying to say that the witch

hunt staff have a better understanding of his work than the

theorists.
2-Hachijo wrote End of the Golden Witch, Alliance of the Golden

Witch and Banquet of the Golden Witch. In other words, episodes 5, 4

and 3. 1 and 2 seem to have been written by the real Maria.
3-Hachijo also forged this episode, Episode 6, Dawn of the Golden

Witch.
4-Hachijo seems to actually be a witch, explaining her condescending

tone towards humans.
5-Hachijo claims that she will not let anything interrupt Ange from

reading the tale of the Dawn of the Golden Witch.

1-As a witch, Hachijo is the Witch of Theatergoing, Featherine

Augustus Aurora.
2-Ange was made into Featherine's Miko (Shrine Maiden), the only

actual benefit of which is that Ange will not be directly attacked

by anyone until she finishes reading the story, as they'd have to

get through Featherine first.
3-Now that Battler is the Game Master, all of the witches side are

anticipating what Battler will do on his game board.
4-If Erika could crush this game of Battler's, she would, in effect,

wipe away the dishonor of the last game.
5-Beatrice showed up, very different from before, apparently without

memories. However, she will study hard to be like the previous

Beato.

1-In the game board that represents the inside of Maria's mind,

Sakutarou certainly does exist, and is a piece which always stays by

her side. Though he's nothing more than a stuffed animal in the real

world.
2-If Maria dies, or loses interest in playing with stuffed animals,

"Maria the game player" will die. That's the second kind of eath in

the Umineko world, where characters that exist outside of the game

board die.
3-This explains why Beato disappeared when she lost interest in the

game, it effectively killed her.
4-If you were gone from the world for a thousand years and came

back, it'd be effecitvely the same thing as having died once, though

you would never be quit the same person again.
5-That Beatrice will never revive again.

1-The Piece Beato that Battler created is probably the Beato that

Battler wants, since the Player Beato is forever gone.
2-A Beato born as Battler's piece would probably move according to

Battler's wishes.
3-Bern revealed at the end of the 1st game that Beato exists as the

incanation of the rules, and is the accumulated knowledge that came

from the rules and became Beatrice. So if you recreate the rules for

the game board, then Beato will exist again.
4-So in other words, the new Piece Beato is like an egg of Beato, or

else a chick that might become the original Beato.
5-While Egg Beato is technically the real Beatrice herself, she is

also, without a doubt, a different person.

1-There's no doubt that Battler and Beato have had antagonism in the

past. Learning about this Beato might give a key towards finding the

truth.
2-Battler, as the new Game Master, is inside the version of Kinzo's

study which exists only in the nonhuman world.
3-Battler created a magic circle in order to create the sixth game.
4-Battler got to honestly respect Beato for easily constructing

complicated tales so easily, but it was actually not easy for her.

Beato worried each time she created a tale, she would worry over

various contradictions and logic errors.
5-The greatest mystery of the 5th game was whether or not Battler

and Beato met before. But this was denied by the red truth.

1-We can deduce that either Beato didn't exist six years ago, or

Battler had no connetion to her at that time. However, either way,

Battler did not visit Rekkenjima at all for the next six years.
2-October 4, 1986 should have been the first time Beato and Battler

met.
3-Battler apoligized to Beatrice for his sin six years ago, though

it was the player Battler who apoligized, not the piece Battler

whose family had been murdered over and over again.
4-Because Battler realized his sin, he found the truth. So his sin

is a huge clue towards the real truth of Umineko.
5-Battler seems to treat the new Beato like the old one, telling her

that he solved the riddle. However, he quickly found that she was

far from the real Beato he was expecting.

1-Battler was furious when he found out that Beato was different

after reviving her, and was told that she would be the same after

living the same kind of life for a thousand years.
2-If a personality is what makes a person a person, you could say a

second personality represents a different person entirely, even if

it inhibits the same flesh body.
3-Hachijo has a very low expectation of her readers, thinking that

not even 20 of her readers will actually think beyond actually

understanding her stories.
4-The world Ange is reading the story in seems to have a much slower

rate of time, as it had only taken three minutes to read so much of

the story.
5-Perhaps anyone who knows the truth can become an Endless Witch.

1-Battler can move the pieces in any way he wants, but because of

that, it's more like talking to himself when he tries to speak to

his pieces. So instead of talking to the individual person themself,

it's more like talking to a doll he's playing with.
2-The Beato Battler hates, which doesn't have Beato's personality,

is more alive than the Piece Beato, who only responds to Battler's

whims, but both of them are hated by him.
3-Jessica and Kumasawa had left in a boat to go shopping and greet

the incoming relatives on Niijima, while Krauss and Natsuhi planned

out how to hide his father's absense again this year.
4-Shannon and Kanon were getting the guesthouse ready for the family

conference together.
5-Despite what happened after the cultural festival, Jessica still

likes Kanon, "even though he's furniture".

1-Kanon confessed his love for Jessica to Shannon, since Shannon

kept driving at it to him until he spilled the beans.
2-Shannon and Kanon loved eachother as siblings, but decided that

they should both persue their love interests, trampling upon their

close relationship as siblings to eachother, so that they could live

happily with humans, as humans. They decided to contest to see who's

quest for love ends up winning, instead of deciding that they both

can win in love.
3-By now, Shannon and Kanon are not furniture.
4-This game, Kanon came to greet the family with Gohda, after

deciding to lead his life differently. Everyone noticed that he

seemed to be different, mostly more cheerful, so it showed on the

outside that his decision affeted his life.
5-Kanon, upon seeing Jessica again, immediately complained about

everyone saying he was different, and then told her the truth about

his feelings and circumstances.

1-The way Kanon and Jessica seem to so readily accept their

relationship and feelings seems too rushed to be natural, probably

as a result of Battler being the Game Master, he probably wanted his

game board to have a happier note.
2-Kanon's real name is Yoshiya.
3-Beato is worried over how to help Battler, how to make him happy,

how to be useful to Battler.
4-Beato knew she was an illusion created in the image of the person

she once was. And she also knew that it would only hurt to try and

pretend to be that person.
5-At the very least, Beato was once a pure creature who was born for

Battler's sake. It is also very clear that, in her current feeble

state, she does not possess any of the courage or the motivation

needed to bring about those fearsome serial murders.

1-Six years is basically the equilivant of six years, so if you keep

that in mind, six years changed Beato forever. At first, she wasn't

cruel, nor evil. But because of being parted from Battler for six

long years, she became evil and cruel and wanted revenge, because it

felt like he left her alone for a thousand years. Or that's what I

think.
2-Beato was born for Battler's sake. Beato is Battler's daughter,

because he created her with his sin.
3-From how Virgilia describes the path to become the previous Beato,

it sounds like she's saying that Beato has to walk down the path of

the Rose Garden in order to pass through the same thousand years.
4-Virgilia is the Endless and Finite Witch Pulius Virgilia Maro,

wishes Beato protection while going through purgatory.
5-Ange, as the Miko of Featherine and the Endless Witch and

Apprentice Witch of Ressurection, as well as Featherine and

Virgilia, are helping Beato become who she once was, but for Ange

and Featherine, it was mostly to find out exactly what caused Beato

to become the way she was.

1-The thousand year old tale about Beato returned to its starting

point, becoming a snake eating its own tail. The story began on

Rokkenjima. The thousand years of the Witch born on this island were

tied to the island. Was it a thousand years, or just six?
2-Somebody washed up on the shore of Rokkenjima on a dark and stormy

night. It was Erika, washed up on shore again!
3-Apparently, Battler was a bit relieved that Erika had come and

turned into a good scapegoat, since people preferred to talk about

the new guest, rather than he, who had been gone for six years.
4-Everyone was surprised to find out Erika was so knowledgeable,

especially baout the Mystery genre of books.
5-Erika belives that the mystery can only contain old tricks

disguised as new ones, and the only reason the mystery genre is

still popular in books is because new fans who have barely read the

classics mistakingly think the old tricks are new tricks.

1-Erika also claims that if you had read Romeo and Juliet, it's the

same as having understood all of romance.
2-Maria brought a quiz book, so Erika could have fun by proving her

intelligence by solving quizzes and puzzles.
3-With one large piece of cheese, a single slice can split it into

two parts. So what is the lowest number of slices you can make to

cut it into eight parts? Because it's cheese, it's possible with

less than four cuts, because if it were Cake, you'd have problems

trying to cut it the same way. The answer is three, if the cheese is

a flat cylinder.
4-The next problem was fitting six coins into three cups, but having

one coin in one cup, two coins in the next, and three in the last.

Can you do the same thing with one less coin?
5-After changing the topic by bring up chopsticks, Goerge challened

Erika to a duel with chopstick coin collecting.

1-Another scene like the one that somebody was locked behind a chain

lock seems to be going on, so it seems like it's actually a person

who's trapped in a room on Rokkenjima, rather than a nightmare that

Ange had.
2-As I thought, it was Eva and Hideyoshi's room. Somebody is locked

up there, and they have parents and are related to the Ushiromiya

family. It's not Battler, Erika, Goerge, Maria or Jessica.
3-It seems like this person is in an inescapable closed room.

Perhaps this person is "Battler". The other Battler.
4-This person smashed the window of the room with a chair, but

wasn't able to break the wooden grid head on. So they try attacking

from the sides using their hands.
5-Someone outside the window grabbed the left hand of the person

that got stuck in the window grid, and started twisting their ring

finger.

1-As I thought, Jessica was with the group. But so was Shannon,

Goerge, Battler, Maria, Jessica and Erika. But then who's in the

room?
2-Erika, having memory of the previous boardgame, already knows

about Beatrice, but decided to ask about the portrait anyways.
3-From my own personal guess, since Kinzo has not actually been seen

to otherwise actually confirm this, perhaps he didn't actually go

crazy with saying things like "My beloved witch, Beatrice."
4-Erika doesn't believe in ghost stories or fairy tales, nor

Beatrice.
5-Maria pulled out a bunch of string beads out of her bag, they were

attached to a medal that had a scorpion drawn on it. They're a

magic-repelling symbol, and spiderwebs also repel magic, because

Beatrice is the incarnation of a Butterfly.

1-All Egg Beato learned from the fragments of previous games was

that the previous Beato defied understanding, since she bullied

Battler every game despite being born for Battler's sake.
2-Egg Beato is rather uncertain of herself, thinking that her being

fine around spiderwebs and scropion charms is proof that syhe's not

the original Beato.
3-Beato entered her own portrait, and ended up in the world inside

herself, which was pitch black.
4-The world she ended up in had another Egg Beato in it, lacking

something, but was also different from herself.
5-The other Beatrice represents the side of Beato that rules the

night of Rokkenjima, who wouldn't dare serve a "brat" like Battler.

It seems like the two Beatos could become the original by uniting.

1-The two Beatos get along well and decide to work together, first

by patrolling the mansion as gold butterflies.
2-Shannon never directly saw Beato, but something strange did happen

one summer night, during her nightly rounds.
3-The anti-magic toxin humans possess, which is in itself, the

disbelief of magic, does not affect the two Beatos who are recently

born as much as it would the original Beato. It would at worst, turn

them into mist temporarily.
4-Witches must not enter the sight of humans, must not be heard by

humans, or even sensed by them. So it's dangereous for witches to

even get close to humans.
5-The older Beato was surprised that the previous Beato withstood

the anti-magic toxin enough to appear before humans, and regards her

highly because of that.

1-Beato began her work by unlocking windows that the servants had

thought that they locked late at night, to get them to believe in

her and lower their anti-magic toxin.
2-One time, Beato played a prank in the kitchen by piling up

kitchenware in an eerie manner and leaving behind a bizarre

scribble, which scared the servants considerably.
3-If the environment was established so that, if anything strange

happened in the mansion at night, it would all be viewed as the work

of the witch. It means the same thing as a witch existing in the

mansion at night. This must be one of the rules of the Umineko

world.
4-There's both good and evil magic, and while it may be neccesary to

repel evil magic for humans, it is the nature of love in the humans

world that it does not burn away and defile love-filled magic.
5-While the cuplrit certainly is human and is using the built-up

tales about Beatrice to prove Beatrice exists, that alone isn't

enough to win the whole game.

1-Erika doesn't believe Maria at all, so sherudely challenges Maria

to support her claim of the witch's existence, to which Maria

becomes increasingly annoyed at.
2-You can't use the magic that makes candy unless you say the

incantation.
3-Maria really did see Beatrice make candies appear out of an empty

cup.
4-There was no trick to the tablle or the cup. It was just an

ordinary table and cup.
5-Erika discovered that the secret behind Beato's and Maria's magic

was that because humans were required to close their eyes while

casting an incantation, it was possible to quickly and secretely

placed a candy under a teacup while Maria's eyes were closed. So if

you don't see it happen, it's magic.

1-The magic trick is nothing more than a sleight of hand. Just a

sleight of hand that the fake witch calling herself Beatrice or

whatever claimed was magic.
2-The illusion of the Witch is created by making the existence of

magic be acknowledged by claiming that it would be impossible

without magic. That is the attack used by witches.
3-Battler was quite irritated when the aftermath or Erika disproving

the candy trick made Maria cry.
4-There were many boys in Maria's class who didn't believe in

witches, magic or miracles.
5-She then, for the first time in the board game, claims to be the

Witch of Origins. The line between the metagame and the board game

seems to be blurring a lot more.

1-Goerge says when he was younger, he was a lazy, hopeless man. He

actually seems to understand that Erika is fighting to prove that

he's an adult so that she can spread her wings as an adult.
2-George didn't know how to interact with the opposite sex. He

deified them excessively. And though he always behaved in a

gentlemanly, ladies first kind of way, he was probably outright

afraid of interacting with girls.
3-At school, George was pretty much completely hopeless. Far from

being a leader, he was the bullied kid who got pushed around by

everyone.
4-George is envious of Battler and Shannon. For a long time in the

past, he thought of Jessica and Battler as bad-mannered kids, and

that even the way they talked was vulgar.
5-It's true that Battler and Jessica were rude, and nobody could

have called them gentlemanly or ladylike. However, they did have the

power to interact without worrying about their sexes. In fact, you

might even call that their charm.

1-George's envy was because people had more fun playing with Battler

and Jessica than him, because Goerge had become a boring man.
2-Goerge heard about Battler during the six year gap from time to

time from Rudolf. Even though he got in fights with Battler all the

time, he always paid attention to his son's goings-on.
3-Asumu was bothered by Battler's popularity with girls at school

and the unceasing trouble this caused must have been because of

Rudolf's blood.
4-Even though Shannon and George had a longer discussion, the way

they went about their confession this time still seems kind of weird

to me. Yet again, maybe Ryuksihi is intentionally doing this since

Battler is the game master.
5-After the proposal, Shannon left to go back to the mansion, and

had a talk with Kanon after Genji went to sleep.

1-Shannon and Kanon both had "golden butterfly brooches" in their

pockets, which allows them to have happy love lives with their

lovers, apparently.
2-Yet again, the mirror that Shannnon shattered is mentioned as

being linked to Beatrice's magic powers. Her power increased with

the smashing of the mirror, so she rewaded Shannon with the brooch.
3-Kumasawa claims that instead of Shannon smashing the shrine,

purple lightning was the cause. But she does say that incident must

have been a prelude to Beatrice's resurrection.
4-The shrine was built by a travelling mountaineering ascetic to

seal up the evil spirits of Akujikishima.
5-Spiders are useful bugs, so there was nothing strange about the

fact that the farmers of the islands treasured them. It's very

possivle that they were then tied to the story of evil spirits and

became known as charms against evil, leading to a tradition of

people treating this useful bug with care through the generations.

1-The setting where Beatrice hated the spirit mirror and spiderwebs

had been based on the ancient legend of Akujikishima.
2-One Beatrice is effected by the same weaknesses of the evil

spirits of Akujikishima, and one is more like a human, unable to

perform magic, but also completely immune to magic seals and

spiderweb.
3-While one Beato's father is Battler, the older sister apparently

only regards him as an infrequent guest who only comes a few times a

year.
4-The person locked in the closed room finally escaped, finger, hand

and window intact, after realizing that the lock had transformed

into a normal one. Seems whoever this person is, isn't mentally

stable.
5-The chain lock apparently wrapped around this person's neck to

prevent them from moving any further, though obviously this only

proves they're insane.

1-The person figured that you could set a chain lock from the

outside with a wire hanger from the room's closet.
2-The witch melted the wire hanger halfway before the person could

set the lock using it, apparently.
3-Battler, George, Jessica and Kanon play a game of sevens, and

Kanon seems to get quite annoyed when he loses. But he at least

seemed to have learned from his experience.
4-After Jessica suggests she'll teach Kanon how to play the guitar,

he agrees after realizing a person is never good at something at

first, and must practice to become good.
5-Magic was apparently required for the servants to fall in love,

but this doesn't seem to make sense. They're humans, so why have

they made themselves believe they are funiture? Probably because

love between a servant and a member of the family is forbidden.

1-A witch's magical items often lose their power if they are not

handed over directly, and people who don't believe in magic and

witches won't get any effect from the magical items.
2-The power however, can work regardless if believed to work by a

great number of people.
3-Those who make others believe, are witches.
4-Beato used magic to create a golden flower petal inside and

overturned cup. It was a splendid bit of magic. (This is in the gold

truth.)
5-'Without love, it cannot be seen.'

1-Maybe the reason the brooch was needed again by Shannon is because

love and marriage are very different things.
2-Kanon's very existence on Rokkenjima is proof that the miracle of

magic exists.
3-He hasn't done it much of late, but Genji used to cook many things

long ago. He was especially good with sweets.
4-Battler is being completely unfair to Beato, treating her badly

for her honest efforts at pleasing him, just because she's not the

same Beato who wasn't kind and innocent, but instead cruel and evil.

Maybe Battler treating Beatrice so coldly in the first place is what

made Beato become the way she was, and may be again.
5-The person who gave Egg Beato the goal to devote herself to

Battler must have been the first Game Master, the player Beatrice

herself.

1-Beatrice is less like furniture and more like she's just a girl

who loves Battler.
2-Why would someone (Beatrice) create a piece of herself dedicated

to loving Battler and trying to get him to return her feelings? It

would be pointless, since it wouldn't be Beatrice herself devoting

herself to Battler, just the piece she created.
3-"One day, the new 'me' trips and lands on her head, and all her

memories of the past are restored!" "A delusional plot like that

wouldn't even pass in a light novel these days!"
4-Interestly, the piece version of the old Beato lets Battler

understand that he can think of the new Egg Beato as her daughter,

and treat her as such, to be able to deal with her better. Or he can

choose to continue treating her badly in Beatrice's place, or

prevent her from becoming the same way.
5-Battler then realized how unfair he was to Beato, and cried

because of it, feeling sorry for the "daughter" of Beatrice.

1-Shannon and Kanon brought their respective love interests to a

western smoking room in the fantasy world, using the Golden

Butteryfly brooches.
2-George and Jessica are tested for whose love should win, which

seems like the previous test at the end of episode 5, which required

you to sacrifice people in order to survive. Perhaps it would be a

different kind of test, though.
3-People live for the sake of love! Yes, this world is love itself!
4-Oh, how great is the power of love! Love is everything!
5-"Ooh, that's weird, Furfur! Why are we in a place like this?"

1-"It really is strange, Zepar! There's no one but humans and

furniture! Where is the witch? Where is the witch capable of

summoning us?" (Zepar seems to be a guy, and Furfur seems to be a

girl)
2-Yes, we remember the name of the witch of the contract really

well, don't we? Let's try calling it out, Furfur!
3-Yes, you're right, Zepar! We know the name of the witch of the

contract, the Golden Witch!
4-Then let's try calling her!
5-Beatriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!

1-Ooh, there are two Beatrices!
2-Well, there are two of us as well. Why shouldn't there be two

Beatrices every now and then?
3-Ah, long time no see! You seem to be in high spirits as always!
4-But look at your cute little sister here! Those juicy eyyes must

have been the taste of white peaches when they grow teary!
5-The brooch, our vessel, has already been destroyed!

1-Eheheheheh, in other words, our role is finished after this! Ah,

yes, it has been fun, Beatrice!
2-However, it was decided when the contract was made. It was decided

that we must lend our power one more time before our final farewell.
3-So, this is truly the final miracle!
4-Once is enough for the miracle of love! After all, eternal love

will never be needed a second time!
5-The power granted by the golden butterfly brooch is the last

chance for the servants cursed to have unsuccessful love, and this

chance is limited to this evening, and can only be given to a single

pair of lovers (as Beatrice the elder claims).

1-Oh my! It seems you understand nothing at all!
2-With our blessing, the pair can cultivate their love at their

leisure! No need to worry about suspicious demons!
3-However, without our blessing, your love will vanish, disappear,

wither and decay.
4-Because it is fate! You may choose not to accept it, you may

choose not to resist it!
5-Ushiromiya Jessica, the future you two share is far more grim than

you realize.

1-If you don't gain the miracle of magic, disaster will most

certainly befall you.
2-You will probably leave this island yourself in search of the one

you love, but such a venture will doubtless be in vain! (It seems

like th're implying Kanon would be fired by one of the Ushiromiya

family if Jessica and Kanon were to try to be in love without the

magic of a miracle, which does seem realistic somewhat.)
3-Yes, and then you will mourn and hate!
4-Hate who?!
5-You!

1-Me?
2-No, the you of this moment!
3-When you have lost the one you love, you will realize. You will

realize how much you hate the person you were when you ran away from

the trial to complete that love!
4-Yes, we're messengers from the you of the future! Please, at this

very moment, take your love seriously and fight!
5-And if you don't listen to the message of the you from the

future?!

1-The foolish snake eating its own tail will keep on gulping!
2-After hearing that-
3-Are you still going to run away?
4-It meant you're no outside to this either. (Ferferring to Egg

Beatrice.)
5-To cut across the marshes of love! That is your wish, is it not?!

1-We will not make light of your wish!
2-Oh, of course!
3-Welcome, second Beatrice! We were planning on including you from

the very beginning!
4-After all, we are Zepar and Furfur! The demons of love!
5-Then, let's begin, Furfur!

1-Let's begin this trial of lovers, the fight over a single miracle

of magic!
2-In this episode, Erika is unable to hear what was going on in the

cousin's room, even if she pressed her hear against the wall of her

room. Unlike last episode, the boost given to her hearing by the

detective's authority did not help, because she was in a room

further away from the cousins' room than the one she had last

episode.
3-Erika decided to make more duct tape seals that she would be able

to prove were broken by specific markings and notches across it,

which made this seal as effective as the red truth.
4-It seems Battler prevented her from using all the duct tape, or

substitute seals, on the whole island. So any advantages the

detective had were being fended off against by Battler, the Game

Master.
5-Erika seems to hate magic, and she claims it's for pleasure,

because she can't stand for the truth to be confused by illusions.

However, she apparently has a darker emotion controlling her urge to

destroy illusions and uncover the truth.

1-Apparently, Erika is a lesbian, and was going out with another

girl a while back, but they've completely broken up. Apparently she

wants to have a relationship with Dlanor.
2-Or perhaps she was quoting sappy lines from manga, and also had

non sequitur by saying "A new wallet" and other phrases like "A

strange cat keychain. A different style of cologne. A music tape

that's not his style...which he said he borrowed from a senior at

theater. His senoir was going so he couldn't refuse. He suddenly had

this part-time job to go to. Talked with a friend on the phone for a

really long time." and a whole bunch more.
3-Erika seems to actually be blathering on about events and phrases

she's heard, and apparently was paranoid enough to collect evidence

to find out her girlfriend was cheating on her, or something. It's

hard to understand. All I know is that she ended up heartbroken and

doesn't believe in love.
4-Even though earlier it stated she had being going out with another

girl (even though that may have been quoting manga or something),

she now proved her former boyfriend no longer loved her and was

cheating on her. Guess she's either straight or bisexual.
5-At the time Erika finished her chessmatch with Dlanor, it was

almost exactly 24:00.

1-George and Eva finally have an argument over his relationship with

Shannon/Sayo.
2-Of course, Eva-Beatrice came to oppose George after he had thought

he won his argument against his mom.
3-Eva pretty much had George study different things every day, for

his best interests. He had his troubles keeping up with it all.
4-George is grateful towards Eva for the long breaks from school

spent teaching him martial arts.
5-There's a never-opened VIP room on the secon floor of the main

mansion onf Rokkenjima. Interesting, when you consider that I'm sure

an unentered room was referenced before in previous episodes.

1-Wonderful! Wasn't that spendid, Zepar?!
2-Indeed it was, Furfur! George's determination is the real real! It

seems I've misjudged you. Please accept my apoligies!
3-So that the love of the pair will stand true, offer up the life of

one person by your own hands.
4-Well then, who will take the next trial?!
5-Please choose the next victim! It doesn't matter who!

1-Please name the next challenger! Any one of you may go!
2-If no one speaks up- it means George wins-
3-Yes, that's right! If so, congratulations, Ushiromiya George!
4-The key that leads to successful love between you and the one you

cherish-
5-We will now proudly gran- (Jessica interrupted and took on her

challenge.)

1-Ah, Zepar! Jessica's roulette of fae has chosen Kyrie!
2-What will you do, Jessica?! The roulette has chosen Kyrie, but you

may reject that choice and spin the roulette again if you wish!
3-It doesn't matter whose life is sacrificed for this trial!
4-Jessica chose to kill Kyrie based on a rule she made herself, the

roulette of fate that meant that she'd kill whoever she ran into

first.
5-When Ange was six, she found her mom's notebook among her

belongings after she died.

1-Rudolf was an awful man who was very good at being a playboy, and

it sparked jealousy in Kyrie.
2-Asumu had a fear of vehicles, though it was a lie to catch

Rudolf's sympathy.
3-Kyrie's birth was apparently stillbirth, so her pregnancy ended in

failure. (My opinion is that either it was the other way around, or

both had successful pregnancies, or there'd be a giant

contradiction.)
4-Kyie says that she's grateful to her master for giving her the

chance to have Rudolf to herself, after 18 years of hell, haing been

second to Asumu in Rudolf's mind.
5-Kyrie summoned a friend from her nightmares, Leviathan of Envy,

one of the Seven stakes of purgatory.

1-That is because of love! That is why she is immortal!
2-Yes, love is magnificent! Those with our blessings cannot be

killed!
3-Kyrie says both witches and magic disappear when they're observes.

She's obviously involved in the closed room murders on Rokkenjima.
4-Ooh?! I can't believe Jessica dropped out all of a sudden!
5-Oh, please give it your all! Do it for your beloved Kanon!

1-Come, Jessica, believe in love and let us see a miracle!
2-Yes, well done, Jessica! Your love is the real deal!
3-The trials for the two of you have been completed!
4-So then, who will take the next challenge?!
5-Will it be Beatrice-sama?!

1-No, no, it might be Shannon!
2-No, this has to be Kanon's time to shine!
3-Come, speak up! Who is next?! Who will take the next trial?!
4-Alright! Who will-
5-Carry out the next murder of love?!

1-Rosa has to find almost a hundred million yen by March. That was

supposed to be her great commitment, a burden she bore to help

support "that man's" business.
2-As I thought, this person is Maria's father. Rosa is trying to get

him to agree to see Maria at least one time.
3-Rosa's ex-husband is in dept and was going to apply for a loan, so

Rosa agreed to co-sign the loan.
4-Helping pay the loan is why Rosa is currently in debt, and needs

money from Kinzo's inheritance.
5-Rosa still has affection toward her ex-husband, so it seems he

divorced her because e thought she was useless as a wife. She's

trying to prove her usefulness by clearing away her debt.

1-Rosa's ex-husband had said "I have dreams. I want to go overseas.

I'll fly out of this tiny country, make it big, and come back to

you" sometime before he abandoned her.
2-Yes, love is a fight.
3-Will you win and gain, or lose and die?
4-But please, have no fear of death.
5-After all, it is a peaceful sleep.

1-The truly terrifying thing is...the hell into which falls the

unsleeping ghosts who cannot win yet cannot die.
2-See what happens to those who make light of love! This hell of

Rosa's-
3-Is what happens to those who do not possess the courage to make

the seeds of love bud, and instead allow it to rot.
4-One cannot end that pain by their own hands.
5-This has been on a past occasion too (i think I forgot to write it

down), but Sakutarou once again called diplomatic immunity. This

implies he is in a position that involves dimplomacy, as if he's a

leader who can call a state of peace between those involved with

witches.

1-Yes, truly splendid! No complaints for either of you! (Referring

to Shannon and Kanon murdering Rosa and Maria.)
2-Then shall we finish with Beatrice's turn? Oh, where did she go?
3-To the victim she has chosen, of course.
4-Then let's go there as well!
5-Because of the love for her husband, Natsuhi couldn't bear to be

made to care for an unfamiliar child.

1-Though Natsuhi murdered a baby she didn't know on that day 19

years ago, Egg Beatrice will not hold that sin against her.
2-The spirit mirror, which repels evil, seems to work against even

Egg Beato, who had shown no previous weakness to things that would

effect nonhumans, such as spiderwebs and wards.
3-Are you giving up?! Only you?!
4-Believe! The miracle of love will surely occur!
5-Yes, that is-

1-What we wanted to hear.
2-Now that the spirit mirror, her last ray of hope, had been

smashed, and the strange demons had increased, Natsuhi could do

nothing but run for it.
3-Hey, Zepar! Does this count? Beatrice didn't complete the trial be

her own strength alone, right?!
4-That's right, Furfur! True, this trial must be accomplished

without borrowing the help of any other!
5-But maybe this is an exception?!

1-A pair in love are as one! This doesn't count as help from

outside!
2-Yes, that is correct, sir!
3-If you can succeed in winning through our trial!
4-We will bless the pair of you and bestow a miracle of magic upon

you!
5-Oh, did you hear that, Furfur?! It looks like Lord BATTLER is

joining in as well!

1-That's no surprise! After all, we've known since the beginning!
2-Welcome to our trial, Lord BATTLER! Then, who will your sacrifice

be?!
3-Very well, Lord BATTLER! Come, Furfur, let's go check!
4-Yes, let's! But Zepar? This means that all six lovers have

succeeded in their trials, right? What should we do next?!
5-The resolve of all six is the real deal! Let us test them further

in the next trial!

1-President Okonogi's killer phrase is "Without love, it cannot be

seen".
2-Hachijo Tohya really does seem to know the real truth behind

Umineko, and as such, was able to forge a believable tale with the

truth in mind, and believes that anyone else with the manuscript for

her story would be able to become and Endless Witch and weave

endless tales on the Rokkenjima incident.
3-After all, when Battler played for the human side, he never had

anything as convenient as the detective's authority. All he was

allowed to do was use the blue truth and ask Beato to repeat what he

said.
4-It seems both Battler and Maria are missing. The latter I know is

probably dead, so what happened to Battler?
5-The mansion was unlocked ro some strange reason, as Erika and the

cousins headed inside to find out what had happened to Battler and

Maria.

1-Rosa and Maria were in the parlor. Also, Natsuhi was in her own

room, and Kyrie was in Krauss's study. Eva was in the rose garden

but no wait, she was moved to the VIP room.
2-Battler was found on the bed in a locked guest room, with the

chain set, apparently dead.
3-Battler claims the game is fair, it can be explained without the

use of magic.
4-Even with magic, witcheds cannot do things that they cannot

accomplish by themselves. They can only adorn the things they can do

with magic.
5-Normally, with the detective's authority, Erika had the right to

openly investigate the crime scenes to her hear's content. However,

this time, the hand't yet made use of that authority. So there was

little chance that she would be allowed to investigate.

1-With the exception of the parlor, all of the rooms form closed

rooms with the window locks and chain locks, so that interference

from the outside would be difficult. Meanwhile, in the Parlow, where

Rosa and Maria lay dead, it was instead blocked with a hat stand

from the inside.
2-It is strange for the Parlor to be chosen for a closed room murder

because it has no chain lock? Why choose a room that you have to

manually block with a hat stand, instead of the many still-available

guest rooms with similar contruction?
3-It is possible that one of the corpses is a fake death,b but

without the detective's authority, Erika cannot confirm with

certainty that the corpses are real or faked.
4-The closed rooms are perfect, and there is no way to decontruct

them from the outside (aside destroying the chain lock with a wire

cutter). They could only be contstructed from the inside.
5-The rooms with the six people in them are all closed rooms.

Acknowledged in the red truth, and only is effective until the

chains were severed and the crimes were discovered.

1-The definition of closed room implies that it is impossible to

construct from the outside. Acknowledged. So you aren't even allowed

to carefully reset the chainlock from the outside using a wire.
2-The definition of a closed room implies that all forms of

interference that pass between the inside and outside of the room

are prevented. Acknowledged. However, Battler doesn't want to deny

the kinds of interference that you'd expect from a normal room, such

as knocks, voices, and the extension telephone line.
3-At the time of the deconstruction of the closed rooms, none

existed within the rooms except the victims (Natsuhi, Eva, Kyrie,

Rosa, Maria, Battler). Acknowledged.
4-As for whether or not a murder was commited after the

deconstruction of the closed rooms, Battler refused to acknowledge

that with the red truth.
5-Except the victims, those who entered the closed rooms were

Krauss, Rudolf, Hideyoshi, and Gohda. This is based on hearsay.

There is no proof that others did not enter.

1-After it was acknowledged with the red truth, then excluding

Erika, those were indeed all the people who entered the closed room,

but this only applies to the current point in time. It's possible

that some later development in the game will cause more people to

enter.
2-Erika could not get Battler to repeat that "Krauss, Rudolf,

Hideyoshi, and Gohda are not culprits."
3-Instead, he goes to say more strictly that Krauss, Rudolf,

Hideyoshi, and Gohda...were not involved in the murders of Natsuhi,

Eva, Kyrie, Roa, Maria and Battler.
4-Erika's own thought to include that it was also impossible for any

of the other humans, who didn't even enter the closed room, to have

been involved in those murders, would not be confirmed by Battler.
5-The victims did not die by any method other than homocide (someone

else killed them). Acknowledged. Of course, there were no suicides

or accidental deaths.

1-How did Maria and Battler get inside the mansion if it was locked

properly?
2-The culprit might have come in much earlier and hid until late at

night.
3-Judging by the pattern of the murders, the chances that the

culprit has a gun are low.
4-Krauss headed up to the second floor with Genji and Gohda, to calm

down Kumasawa, Shannon and Kanon.
5-This crime was commited by someone who knew the layout of this

mansion well, inside and out. (Considering there's a blueprint of

the mansion in the servant's room, it's possible that it was a

servant.)

1-The servants are suspicious on two points. First, the victims are

familiar with them, and there were no signs of a fight in any of the

crime scenes. There was no disturbance at any of those places.
2-The cuplrit isn't just one person, it seems.
3-Erika seems to suggest that the chain locks prove the servants did

it, and that the servants are somehow able to set the chains.
4-As I thought, she uses the wire example, suggesting you can set

the chain from the outside using a wire, similar to how mailmen use

wires to unlock mailboxes to get letters that were mistakingly put

in the wrong mailbox.
5-Battler thinks Beatrice's wish was for Battler to understand magic

so that he could carry her off the gameboard.

1-In all cases, it was the victims themselves that constructed the

closed room. The closed rooms were perfectly preserved until

Krauss's group broke them open. Also, during that period, all sorts

of interference from the outside were impossible.
2-Battler gets angry at Bernkastel for preventing Erika from using

the detective's authority, and he wanted to battle her with her

using Dlanor's red and blue swords and have Erika use her

detective's proclamation.
3-Erika is retroactively allowed to use duct tape to fully seal

three rooms, in order to have a better chance at defeating Battler.

Effecitve, since those seals are as powerful as the red truth.
4-So far so good, Furfur?!
5-Yes, all of the lovers clearly possess a strong will!

1-This is a victory for love! That, we shall extol!
2-Well, we thought at least some of you would drop out.
3-We didn't think that you all would remain. This is a happy

miraculous miscalculation due to love!
4-Yes, precisely that! (They will play musical chairs so lovers

would be forced to drop out.)
5-We've decided to have this trial eliminate one group no matter

what!

1-This trial is the second twilight of the epitaph-
2-Tear apart the two who are close! Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
3-If only everyone could be happy. But there's no way an ideal world

like that could exist...
4-No, there is!
5-That is the Golden Land!

1-It is quite simple!
2-The only possible way to teat apart two lovers is by the sad

farewell of death!
3-The second trial involves killing one of the six!
4-Of course, any lover with their partner killed is disqualified.
5-In short, one group of lovers must fail during this trial!

1-You can just fight to the death-
2-Or you can decide by a lottery of some sort.
3-Don't worry! For this trial, we have made everyone's powers equal.
4-Even the Game Master, Lord BATTLER, is taking this trial on an

even footing with everyone else.
5-Yes, it's perfectly even! Ina one on one matchup, victory would

be decided by luck!

1-It's perfectly even-
2-So it'll probably take some time before it's settled.
3-So, is the trick to attack when you're in a superior position, I

wonder?
4-Duels that take time are, of course, wonderful!
5-Please do consider that problem! (Entrusting fate to a random

number generator.)

1-This is the second trial we have for you!
2-Think, and fight to the death! Please decide who the sacrifice

will be!
3-Rudolf thinks that Kinzo is behind the murders because the

servants with the One Winged Eagle on them serve directly under him,

but of course Kinzo's dead, so this could only be the case if

someone new is claiming the name of Kinzo.
4-Erika split everyone intow two rooms of six people so that she

could trick them into letting her fully investigate the deaths,

without the detective's authority.
5-Hideyoshi once shot a gun when he was part of the occupying

forces, it was a pistol. Back then, the black market was controlled

by foreign yakuza. Thous apparently Hideyoshi tells his life story

quite often, and each time they had gotten more extravagent. So

basically, this note isn't that reliable.

1-Erika decided to leave the room to go to the next room over.
2-The six first twilight victims are located at the places where

they were discovered. Natsuhi is in her room, Eva is in the VIP

room, Kyrie is in Krauss's study, Rosa and Maria are in the parlor,

and you are in the guest room! Acknowledged by Lord BATTLER.
3-Hideyoshi, George, Shannon, Kumasawa, and Nanjo are in the next

room over! Acknowledged.
4-I acknowledge that everyone else is in the cousins' room.
5-By the seals on the doors and windows, the complete sealing of

both the cousins' room and the next room over has been guarenteed.

1-Battler's corpse was taken. In other words, you could say he

survived and escaped. Perhaps othe rbodies that were taken in

previous games were in fact, faked deaths to let people go around

freely? Just a thought.
2-Erika used the last duct tape seals on Battler's room, "out of

respect" for BATTLER, the Game Master.
3-All forms of magic are tricks. One kind is just an unobserved lie,

and another is a trick that at first goes observed before it

happens, but during a point of time when it is unobserved, a trick

is played, and after the trick has been done, it then is observed

again but seems like magic is responsible for the result of the

trick.
4-As long as the witch leaves herself a way out, she can even switch

between truths (tricks).
5-It's true, Battler was supposed to be alive and sneak out of the

guest room, and place the letter. However, Erika's retroactive duct

tape ruined this scheme unless he wanted to break the sael, making

it obvious that his corpse escaped alive.

1-Erika pilfered one of the Master Keys and used it to unlock doors

in the mansion.
2-We (Dlanor and Erika) have confirmed that the seals to the guest

room are undamaged. Since the time Lady Erika confirmed Battler's

existence, this closed room has been preserved.
3-Lambadelta swears she is impartial in her judgements.
4-Ushiromiya Battler is not on the bed.
5-Knox's 3rd. It is forbidden for hidden passages to exist.

1-No hidden places that are impossible for Erika to find exist

inside the guest room.
2-Except for one location, there is no one to be seen in the

bedroom.
3-In the bathroom was an elaborate prank with the shower, made so

that it would spray boiling hot water at the entrance. This was held

in place by wires. In the tub were cut wires and snippers, but of

course the biling hot water made it hard to get to them.
4-No one was seen in the bathroom.
5-Except for one location, Battler does not exist in any place

inside the guest room.

1-Ushiromiya Battler does not exist within the guest room. There are

no exceptions, including the closet.
2-At that time, I (Erika) immediately closed the door, reset the

chain, and sealed this room.
3-Erika repaired the chain lock.
4-Erika used that duct tape to join the two cut ends of the chain

together, sealing them. In other words, the chain was repaired by

the duct tape, and this closed room once again became a closed room

locked from the inside.
5- The use of the duct tape wasn't limited by the number of strips,

right? It was by the number of rooms. The only restriction was to

limit it to only three rooms. Erika chose this guest room to be one

of those rooms. So, Erika has the right to seal as many places as

many times as she wants within this room.

1-I (Erika) proclaim that the chain lock has been repaired by the

duct tape seal and has regained its original functionality. And,

thanks to that, I locked the room upon entering it and made this

guest room a closed room from the inside once more.
2-The lock caused by the chain is intact.
3-Battler had apparently escaped the closed room while the chain

lock was still set, without breaking the seal on the window, without

hiding in the closet, bathroom or under the bed.
4-Ushiromiya Kyrie cannot save Battler.
5-Ushiromiya Natsuhi cannot save Battler.

1-Ushiromiya Eva cannot save Battler.
2-Useless. Rosa and Maria can't save him either.

Deathdeathdeathdeathdeathdeathdeath. <Die the death>! <Sentence to

death! <Great equalizer is the death>!
3-Knox's 7th. It is forbidden for the detective to be the culprit.
4-Erika re-killed all of them.
5-She completely severed the heads of all those she killed.

1-All five people I (Erika) killed were very much alive until the

moment I killed them.
2-Neither rooms' duct tape seals are broken.
3-Know that an unbroken seal proves that there are still none who

have entered or exited.
4-It needs no second telling, but know that entry or exit without

breaking the seal is impossible.
5-This room is a closed room created from the inside. The seals on

the windows are intact, so there can be no escape from there. Of

course, there is no way to escape by leaving through the bathroom.

There is no exit to escape from except this door. However, the chain

lock on this door is set. You can unset and reset it all you want,

but you can only do so from the inside. Furthermore, you are free to

go out through the door, but you cannot leave or escape while the

chain lock is unset.

1-Lambadelta seems to regard herself as a survivor of a terrifying

nightmare which made her lose her mind. Seems to be referring to

Higurashi, where Takano was defeated by Rika.
2-Battler himself is the person trapped in the inescapable closed

room of the completely locked and sealed guest room that her himself

faked his death in after creating.
3-Lambda declares the old Beatrice loved detective novels, used the

tricks from those to claim that a witch existed, and was an expert

on impossible crimes and closed room tricks. In other words, the old

Beatrice was Battler.
4-Aah, Zepar! What's this important announcement?!
5-Listen, Furfur! Our image song is getting released on CD!

1-Liaaaaaaaaaaar?!
2-Yeah, it's a lie! Ahahahahhahaha.
3-We were just so bored of showing up the same way every time!
4-We thought we'd change our style a bit!
5-We're entertainers! And the stage is alive!

1-You've got to ad lib every now and then !
2-Sorry, George. Actually, we have a truly important announcement

regarding the second trial.
3-It is good news for some! Is it bad news for others?
4-Those for which it is bad news have probably already figured it

out!
5-If you don't know what we're talking about, then it's good news

for you!

1-We'd like to announce that Battler has retired before the second

trial.
2-The witch's game will wait forever for him, but a pair of lovers

cannot wait forever.
3-Love is like ice cream! It's sweet and creamy, but if you don't

eat it quickly, you'll lose it. Our game isn't so gracious that

it'll wait for him to return.
4-After all, this is a trial to test the bonds between lovers!
5-Battler isn't currently capable of doing that. So, his pair is

disqualified! How truly saddening!

1-However, she is one of the participants in this three-way trial of

love. So, I think we should let her watch the trial as an observer!
2-A splendid idea! She does have the right to bless the pair that

does overcome the trial!
3-Ah, that's George for you! I'm rooting for you the most on the

inside!
4-The coldness with which he furnishes that love makes its heat

stand out all the more!
5-Look, Furfur. The two Beatos are thinking together.

1-I wonder if those two can really save Battler.
2-Oh, they can! If they have the miracle of love, that is!
3-That's right, Zepar! They can certainly do it if they have the

miracle of love on their side!
4-Hey, Furfur. Do you think they'll realize that we're giving them a

hint for solving that closed room?
5-They'll realize. If they have love, they certainly will.

1-Hachijo seems to be keeping the restor the tale for herself,

wanting her readers to think. Only those who have come up wioth

their own answers should be able to read the rest, since only those

who understand can know the answers to the rest of the tale. Seems

more like a message from Ryuukishi himself, as usual.
2-In the game that Bern was in as a piece, her Game Master had a

logic error that doomed her to hell. Lambda apparently suffered

because of it, too.
3-If Bern wasn't able to become a witch, she would probably still be

a black cat strapped to that typewriter for eternity.
4-And so, like earlier, Erika is going to marry Battler in order to

become the Game Master.
5-Hey, did you hear, Furfur?!

1-I sure did, Zepar! Lord BATTLER and Lady Erika are having a

wedding!
2-As you know, the territory lord of this place has had his heart

sealed away and cannot speak.
3-It seems the beautiful Lady Erika is going to become his wife and

support him in his work!
4-It's no use to just steal away his body back! After all, the great

Lady Bernkastel has already signed the marriage certificate as a

witness!
5-With a great witch of the senate serving as a witness, no one can

dispel the union except for those who are a part of it!

1-Then find a way to rescue him from that closed room!
2-You're going to steal away the bridegroom?! Ah! How wonderful!
3-And on top of that, the chain can't be set from the outside!
4-And now there's no one left to switch places with him!
5-Yes, love can accomplish any impossible thing!

1-If you can't accomplish something, it means you lack enough love!
2-But we are moved by the strength of will that prevents you from

giving up!
3-Because you have that, we're sure you can bring about a miracle!
4-We are always giving out hints.
5-Without love-

1-They cannot be seen!
2-What'll we do, Furfur?!
3-Can we just give a hint to a hint?!
4-Oookay! Here's a present from Zepar and Furfur! A hint to a hint

of love!
5-You can't see the answer...

1-Because you don't have enough love!
2-And if you don't have enough love...!
3-Why don't you watch all the lovers?!
4-Yes, and fortunately, we have two groups of lovers right here with

us!
5-Why don't we take a look at their fight for love?!

1-You should watch over and observe our trial!
2-Oh, they've finally called out to us!
3-So, George! Have you decided the format for the duel?!
4-That's surprising. For a one on one duel, we would have thought-
5-That George and Jessica would've fought.

1-If the lovers have decided-
2-Even we demons will not butt in.
3-So, how would you like to settle this duel?
4-You don't mean...that you want to have a real 'duel', do you?
5-And the method?

1-That doesn't matter, as long as it is a fight to the death.
2-...Zepar. We should be the ones to oversee this noble duel.
3-True...we uderstand you two. We will propose a noble duel, one

that will honor your noble spirits!
4-They (the two dueling pistols) have one bullet each. As you

requested, we have imbued them with magic.
5-They have magical bullets, which will bring certain and painless

death no matter where on your body they hit you.

1-Normally, that would be a draw (if they both miss). ...However,

such a thing is not allowed in our trial.
2-If you both miss, you will come back, and we will give you new

bullets. This will repeat until one of you is dead.
3-Ushiromiya George, I recognize you as Shannon's...no, Sayo's

witness.
4-Ushiromiya Jessica, I recognize you as Kanon's...no, Yoshiya's

witness.
5-We are responsible for this duel! It is our responsibility to see

that this duel reaches a decision no matter what!

1-If there are no problems, let the duelists stand back...then walk

the decided number of steps away from each other.
2-Then, the duel will begin on our signal. Zepar, how many steps

should they walk?
3-Good question. Well, maybe we should choose a number that is

closely bound to this duel.
4-A number closely bound...? What number is that?
5-It's a number we know of well...it is that number which has been

repeated over and over again since the time this tale began...!

1-That number is 19!
2-Well then, duelers! Stand with your backs together!
3-Shannon and Kanon seem to curse their father for being born,

implying that they are a relative of the Ushiromiya family as well.

Since they talk about leaving cages, Shannon and Kanon

could be the real Beatrice.
4-Gaap seems to imply you can leave through the window, and go

undetected.
5-Impossible. The seals on the windows were also intact. Of course,

this is at the time of the logic error.

1-Know that it is forbidden for blue truth to be used if based on

the argument that the window seals of the next room over were torn

at the time of the logic error.
2-Know that there can be no obligation to provide an answer to this

blue truth!
3-Let us have silence! Ladies and gentlemen!
4-Welcome to the wedding of Lord BATTLER, territory lord and Golden

Sorcerer, and Lady Erika, the Witch of Truth!
5-Then, let us welcome the bride and groom...!

1-Please give them a grand welcome and celebrate their departure!
2-Come out, bride and groom! Walk the path of the shackles called

marriage, which will bind you until the grave!
3-It seems that despite the inability to argue that the other room's

window could be used, the possibility of that being the only way is

the very thing that could expose part of Beato's heart, and thus is

part of the answer to this tale.
4-People live for the sake of love! Therefore, today, you have

fulfilled the purpose of your lives.
5-Oh, how great is the power to live, the power of love...! I pray

that the brightness of this day blesses these two for all time!

1-Come now, you who love one another! Make the oath of love!
2-In the place of the husband who cannot speak-
3-Let the wife make the oath on behalf of them...!
4-You have heard the pair's oath of love. Oh, let this oath be

eternal...!
5-Yes, let the pair exchange rings...!

1-Since the husband's fingers cannot move, let his wife support

him...!
2-And now, bride. You may give the groom your ring.
3-...This one's pretty incredible. ...It's the shackle that'll hold

him in place for all time.
4-Silence.
5-You'll get in the way of the lovers.

1-That is not true.
2-If we hadn't set up this duel-
3-Then both pairs would have fallen apart. This duel is necessary.
4-...That's right. I'm impressed that you noticed.
5-This is love's truth.

1-Normally, love needs nothing more than two people who love each

other.
2-Therefore, when there are not 'two people', ...we must use a duel

to make that number become 'two'.
3-The minimum number of people that can create a world is two.
4-A world can only be born, love can only be fulfilled...when two

people gather.
5-That is why this duel is necessary.

1-So that they can reach that number of people.
2-Exactly. Furniture is subhuman. That's why furniture and a human

cannot add up to two people.
3-No, it does!
4-Do you really think that the status of a pair of lovers doesn't

matter?!
5-Is a man who has a wife allowed to love someone else? Is a woman

who has a husband allowed to love someone else?

1-Are you allowed to fall in love with your parents? Are you allowed

to fall in love with your children? There are many situations where

status makes love unallowable!
2-Because they don't possess a full soul!
3-Shannon, Kanon, and the piece version of you as well!
4-All of you are furniture! Subhuman beings who do not possess a

complete soul!
5-There is only one thing necessary to love a human! That is the

possession of a complete soul! That's why a pair in love can create

a world!

1-For example, do you think a man with a wife has the right to love

another woman?
2-See? There are plenty of statuses and humans who have no right to

love a person! As long as both people feel love, nothing else

matters? That's just the hypocrisy of naive love!
3-We cannot forgive humans who falsely pretend they have the right

to love! We cannot forgive the love of subhuman beings, of those do

not make up the minimum number of people to create a world!
4-That is the purpose of our trial...! It is to let the sinful souls

regain a complete soul and become capable of true love!
5-...Watch.

1-No, this isn't a duel to see who falls apart. ...This is a duel to

make true love succeed.
2-No, you must understand. This marks...the birth of a human who can

truly love another.
3-No matter which wins...please support them. ...Right now, ...their

days as furniture will end.
4-The signal is simple. ...I will count to three. When I reach

three, the duel will commence.
5-If both miss, the duel will be temporarily suspsended. You will be

given bullets again and will start over from the beginning, with

your backs to each other.

1-Of course, I have seen it many times.
2-In almost all cases, it is decided in the first round.
3-Your resolve is good, you two. ...Then, ...let's go.
4-"One" "Two" "Three" (Counted as one note, because a countdown

doesn't need to be three notes!)
5-Shannon seems to imply the reason they should have fought sooner

is because that way, they would never have to be reunited.

1-It is (finished). ...Congratulations. You two were the ones who

remained.
2-We will give you our blessing. But please, don't forget. You are

now responsible for nurturing your love.
3-...Please, take good care of the seed of love that this miracle

has created.
4-And now, let Shannon have the miracle of magic.
5-Now, your soul will become human. You will become a full person.

1-Gather, incomplete souls...! Become one and know love...!
2-Kanon has disappeared because he died. Beato was born to love

Batler and is disappearing because she has lost the qualifications

to do that.
3-...It is very fair. If you had survived, the other two would have

vanished.
4-Why is it that Beato likes Battler? (She seems to be asking her

mother.)
5-Battler's not really a big fan of the family oriented type of

girl. he can't handle acting politely in front of girls. He likes a

girl like Jessica.

1-The creator of Beato made her so that she could be the kind of

woman Battler likes.
2-Kanon died with no apparent wounds, though he bled from his

forehead.
3-A witch is... "Not the one who solves puzzles."
4-A witch is the person who creates impossible closed rooms.
5-A witch doesn't talk normally.

1-Ooh, Zepar! What's this?! What does it mean?!
2-This is...a request for a duel! If she picks up the glove, it

means she's accepted!
3-And if she doesn't, the Siestas will shoot? Why should she pick it

up?!
4-She doesn't have to. ...However, we and the demon attendants would

probably spread the word far and wide that she dishonorably ran away

from a duel...!
5-She would be known for eternity as a coward who ran away from a

duel of love!

1-Erika has to solve Beato's closed room because she is the

detective.
2-When none of the family was around, Kinzo would sometimes ask

Kanon to take part in strange pranks, and let him shoot lots of

guns.
3-Kanon considers Genji his father and Kumasawa his mother, and of

course Shannon his sister.
4-Kanon hates Gohda, but whenever he complimented Gohda's stew, he

would sometimes turn red and tell him there was enough for seconds.

Kanon didn't dislike that part of him.
5-Until the last moment that his heart died, Battler tried very hard

to escape the closed room, even tearing his fingernails off from

trying to lock the room from the outside.

1-Now, are you ready, duelists?!
2-The bullets within those magic guns are not lead!
3-They are bullets of red and blue truth for the battle between

mystery and fantasy!
4-As long as you possess truth, your bullets are endless!
5-However, being hit by a single one means instant death!

1-Are you both prepared?!
2-Lady Lambdaadelta, the great and powerful Witch of Certainty and

member of the glorious Senate! Please come forward! Will you swear

to oversee this duel?!
3-The one who rescued Battler was, without a doubt, Kanon.
4-Battler and Kanon are different people.
5-It seems you are ready, duelists! Please face each other with your

pistols. Then fire with the sparks of truth!

1-The cousins room is guarenteed to be a perfect closed room until

the end.
2-It is true that the next room over was sealed, but at the time of

the logic error, only the doors were checked to see whether the

seals were preserved.
3-At the time the next room over was sealed, Hideyoshi, George,

Kumasawa, Shannon, and Nanjo were in it. And, the number of people

in the next room over was five. No one existed there except for

those to whom those five names referred! All people can only use

their own names!
4-At the time Battler was rescued, only Kanon entered the guest

room.
5-I (Beato) acknowledge it. From the time you (Erika) entered the

room to the time of the logic error, you, Battler and Kanon were the

only ones who went in or out of the guest room.

1-I (Beato) acknowledge it. It refers to three people: you (Erika),

Battler, and Kanon.
2-Of course. Three people-- in other words, three bodies--went in

and out. Only you and Kanon entered, and only Battler left. It has

already been said in red that all people can only use their own

names. Therefore, the names Erika, Battler, and Kanon can only be

used by those people.
3-Of course, Erika is not the rescuer.
4-The rescuer means someone who reset the chain lock after Battler

undid it. It does not matter whether they intended to save Battler

or not.
5-I (Beato) acknowledge it. The definition of going in or out refers

to when someone crosses the boundary between the guest room and the

area outside it.

1-Beato acknowledged it. The wor guest room includes all of the

bedroom, the bathroom, and the closet.
2-The inside of the guest room is divided into three sections: the

bedroom, the bathroom, and the closet. Beato also recognizes it as

such. Furthermore, you (Erika) have already confirmed with the red

truth that two of those sections, the bedroom and the bathroom, had

no one hiding in them.
3-The game ended while I (Erika) was inside the guest room, so I did

not undo the chain lock that I had previously set. So, it can't be

that he escaped behind my back after I left the room. Furthermore,

the chain lock was set at the same time I entered the room. No one

could have left the room during the few seconds between the time I

entered and the time I set the chain lock.
4-The guest room was sealed at the time that Battler's 'corpse' was

examined, so until I (Erika) came again and broke the seals, it was

absolutely impossible for anyone to go in or out. Therefore, when I

entered the room, it is certain that Battler was hiding somewhere

inside the room.
5-The only chance Battler had to escape was after I (Erika) broke

the seals. To be even more specific, he had no chance to escape

except for the time I was in the bathroom

1-Kanon does not exist in the bedroom.
2-Kanon does not exist in the guest room. ...Of course, this

includes all parts of the closet, the bedroom, and the bathroom.
3-And the winner is...Beatrice!
4-Gods and demons. Please pass on the story of her noble passing.
5-It isn't (over).

1-Not until the pair is seperated by death.
2-We won't let anyone disgrace her final moments.
3-Hi, pleased to meet you! I am Furudo Erika, the detective! I may

be an uninvited guest, but please, welcome me! I am the visitor, the

18th human on Rokkenjima!
4-Even if you do join us-
5-There are 17 people.

Episode 6 - Tea Party:
1-Then let the pair exchange their rings!
2-As a memorial for this night's events, the great territory lord

will now recognize the accomplisements of certain people.
3-Let those called come forward.
4-After Ange is done reading Hachijo's story, she is permitted to

leave and stop being her miko (shrine maiden) after discussing

theories and arriving at different truths.
5-And then, Ange headed to Niijima (again).

1-Amakusa is the one who killed Kasumi and her men, and he also

killed Ange.
2-It seems like Amakusa was hired by the Sumaderas to do all of

this, but it's kind of confusing.
3-Okonogi was giving him orders, of course.
4-If Amakusa wasn't hired by the Sumaderas, then Okonogi was, which

effectively is the same thing because he's Amakusa's boss.
5-Hurray for kicking AngexAmakusa fans in the face.

Episode 6 - ????
1-Bernkastel is in the same hall Battler was in, and began hearing

sounds that remind me of Oyashiro-sama's curse. Seems to be a cat.
2-The cat had blood-stained paws.
3-A place that sounds like a cave with dripping water, but is inside

a room that has a wooden screen with double lights in it was through

a door Bern entered.
4-Bern claims that Featherine was the one that taught her the taste

of flesh, so Featherine is probably her Game Master, especially

since she called Bern her previous miko.
5-The bloodied cat was actually eating biscuits.

1-Featherine called Bern there to check over her answers witht he

truths Bern has learned.
2-Bern has a grudge, so she wants to spin her own tale in a very

specific way. Of course, Featherine knows, but only wants to check

the answers, so she'll let Bern implement the grudge in the tale.

Bern has no love, so things will be interpreted in a strange way.
3-Black tea is best enjoyed with your fellow monsters.
4-And so, as Featherine's miko again, Bern is the Game Master.
5-It seems like placing the piece of Beato on d8 is important. Since

it's a piece that starts out as "trash" but can become a king, queen

or knight, it must be a fictional piece since a piece like that

doesn't actually exist in chess. I don't know a lot about chess

though, so I have no clue if d8 is a good move.
