Sounds really great that you want to run a local Nonoba website!
As described in the first email, you will receive a part of the revenue
generated from the site when it’s up and running. The details of this
have still to be sorted out, so stay tuned on news on that!
The first thing you as a partner need is to find a free domain name that
appeal to your local audience. You are free to choose a .com or a local
TLD but it should be something related to the content.
Our experience is that domain names containing your language words for
games, fun, play and so on; works really great.
The second thing you need to do is setup your site. To get you a head
start we have promoted your user Juze to site admin and created a
temporary website where you can see your changes live.
Your temporary website is: juze-fi.joyem.com
Should you want to have another user as your admin user, please just
write an email to Chris on chris@nonoba.com and he will ensure that it
gets handled.
To start working you simply login with your user on Nonoba.com then
press the admin button in the bottom left of your screen. Here you will
see an admin overview and a menu to the left of the websites you have
access to.
You should have a whole bunch of options here, but the really
interesting one is Translation. Click the translation dropdown then
Choose [Custom] and select Edit. This will take you to the translation
site where you can start translating right away. A status bar will show
you how far you are.
Start from the top and then translate the text to the left into the
text-field on the right. When you have completed all the texts on one
site, simply press save, and a new set of texts to be translated will
show up.
You don’t have to translate all the texts at once, you can stop in the
middle of a site and just press save if you want a break.
Once in a while you will see {} brackets with either text or numbers in
them. This is text where data will be inserted. If the {}’s contains
numbers; an explanation of what they are will appear to the right. If
it’s text, the content to be replaced into the text should be clear from
the text itself.
While you translate or when you are done, you can see the fruits of your
efforts live on your temporary website.
We know translating sites are very boring, therefore we will pay you
200 USD for your efforts, as soon as the site had been translated to
100%!
As these admin tools are new, you might run into bugs, texts that cannot
be translated and so on. If this is the case please write an email to
Chris explaining your problem.
