I have an idea for a new game. It is basically a compilation of the best of the games that I enjoy. I call it aNew .

I feel as though the best method for accomplishing all of this would be to somehow mod DoD:S and introduce the Gun Game Mod to it. I came to this conclusion simply because DoD:S is already hardwired for maps, classes, and spawning style.

aNew would include parts of the following:
Counter-Strike: Source	Player Models
 Hit boxes also!
	Weapons

Day of Defeat: Source
	Mapping System
 Safe spawn area
 Respawning
 Territory capture type scenario
Player Classes – Associated with Models
Limits on number of players per class
 Distinct weapons for each class

Gun Game Mod (CS:S)
Distinct Weapon Leveling for each class
	Knife Mod
If you knife-kill a player after you have leveled up you receive the next level of weapons
Your old weapons disappear in the above scenario

All of this is setup to create a DoD:S game set in CS:S time period. The GG Mod adds a sense of the characters becoming better the more kills they get. One of the important transitions will be that the different models/skins from CS:S will correlate to what class the player chooses. For example a ct_urban, t_phoenix would be a sniper class. The different classes I have in mind include:
1.	Close Range –tmp type weapons
2.	Mid Range- m4, ak
3.	Long Range- snipers
4.	Kamikaze- wields multiple pistols and nades

A simplified weapon progression would be:
1.	Pistol
2.	Better Pistol
3.	Pistol and Scout
4.	Better Pistol and Scout
5.	Pistol and Awp
6.	Better Pistol and Awp
To progress from one class to the next may be dependent on pistol kill (say from 3 to 4), scout kill (say from 4 to 5), and a pistol & awp kill (to move from 5 to 6). Progression may also be based on say two scout kills to move from 3 to 4. This is a very simplified example, and doesn’t even address the other classes (also keep in mind that this system could get very complicated if one were to change classes mid game play, maybe changing class subtracts a level). I imagine a total of 9 or 10 levels total.

I would like to change the skins to more neutral colors that would suite the class. Later I would like to have the set of skins for all models be dependent on the map.

If you are interested in hopping on board, let me know.
