Sorry I can not write Microsoft Word .doc file formats. I'm using OpenOffice.org Writer as my word processor, since I am a GNU/Linux user.
Microsoft wants to ensure their proprietary document formats do not work on non-microsoft products(their competitors). They want everyone to pay them money who wish to read their formats(.doc for example). Is it possible for you to allow me to send you a format that is an open standard.(opposed to proprietary binary format) The formats I am able to send to you are, html, pdf, odt(Open Document Format), and .txt;
There is an ISO called Open Document Format, it is supported by many applications(OpenOffice.org Writer, Sun's StarOffice Kword, AbiWord to name afew) This standard is backed by IBM, Google, Opera and Massachusetts High Technology Council.( http://www.odfalliance.org/about.php ) This file format(ODF) is free(libre) and can be implemented in any application for any purpose. Unlike Microsoft's .doc format which is kept a secret. They do not want anyone to figure out how the format works, since many documents use this format and this helps them sell Microsoft Office.
