Sorry I can not write Microsoft Word .doc file formats. I'm using OpenOffice.org Writer as my word processor, since I am a GNU/Linux user.
Microsoft wants to ensure that peoples documents do not work on non-microsoft products. Since they want everyone to pay them money who wish to read their formats.(.doc for example) I do not want to pay Microsoft, nor do I want to help them get more money. Is it possible for you to allow me to send you a format that is an open standard. Not a proprietary binary format like Word's .doc format. The formats I am able to send to you are, html, pdf, odt(Open Document Format), and .txt;
There is an international standard called Open Document Format, it is supported by OpenOffice.org Writer, Sun's StarOffice Kword, AbiWord, and TextMaker. With entities such as IBM, Google, Opera and Massachusetts High Technology Council supporting ODF, soon I don't think many applications will not support ODF. Except Microsoft Word of course! This file format is free(libre) and can be implemented in any application for any purpose. Unlike Microsoft's .doc format which is kept a secret. They do not want anyone to figure out how the format works, since many documents use this format and this helps them sell Microsoft Office.
