Atlantis
Plato - Interested in maximizing profits within the Atlantis system, Spa and Cruise hired several contractors to survey the system's natural resources. While Atlantis proved to be relatively barren of any valuable resources, probes into Plato's atmosphere revealed that the unique combination of gases refracted the star's naturally beautiful light, creating an incredible sight. Seizing this as an opportunity to expand their operations within the Atlantis system, Spa and Cruise began the construction of several stations within the planet's atmosphere. These now serve as resorts, and have proven a highly lucrative investment.
Timaeus - This thoroughly unremarkable ice nebula was named in honor of one of the works in which Atlantis first appeared.
Critias - Perhaps even more unremarkable than its sister Timaeus, Critias was named later following the same naming scheme, making it also more unoriginal.
Atlas - The Atlas ice field is primarily composed of ice, much to the chagrin of Spa and Cruise prospectors.
Brahe
Baldan - Beginning as a strip mining operation for the IMG, the Baldan instillation has changed hands several times over its lifetime, abandoned by the IMG after it's precious metals ran dry. Since then it has changed hands several times, owners including the Zoners, Outcasts, and now the GMG. Due to Brahe's remote location, any efforts to harvest the Savlov helium field required a sizable instillation in system, and the GMG found this in Baldan. Since acquiring the station they have began the costly process of repurposing it to a gas processing center, but work has been slow. It currently serves only as a storage and distribution center, with further development unlikely do to incessant Nomad attacks. Fortunately for the GMG, it's previous occupants also had to deal with this problem, and the station is well fortified against any aggressors.
Gretel - An unusual sight within the Sirius system, the sister planetoids Hansel and Gretel are both locked into an orbit with one another, forming what is commonly referred to as a binary planet, or double planet. The formation of this anomaly has been heavily speculated upon, with the most common suggestion being that the binary system was created through a large impact between a full planet and a smaller satellite, causing it to split.
Hansel - With little understanding into the physiology or psychology of the Nomads, their intentions and actions are almost completely unknown. As such, the reason for their use as the Hansel and Gretel system as a focal point for their forces in Baldan remains unknown.
Savlov Helium Nebula - The GMG struck it rich in the Baldan system with their discovery of the Savlov field. Unfortunately for them, however, the nebula has barely brought any profit due to the Nomad activity within the system, severely limiting their mining operations and leading to incessant attacks.
Utopia
Campanella Ice Cloud- Despite initial scan results returning bizarre findings within the Campanella ice cloud no evidence of any anomalies was found by further survey teams. Despite this, the nebula continues to exhibit strange characteristics on certain frequencies.
Bacon Field - Within the unimposing visage of the Bacon field lies one of Utopia's many mysteries. Initial survey teams were unfortunate enough to discover the Nomad minefield within the cloud. What exactly the minefield is protecting is as of yet unknown, as all attempts to penetrate the structure have met with failure.
More - In a system full of mysteries, the planet More is perhaps the greatest. Encircled by stars, the planet remains unknown and impenetrable, as any efforts to scan its surface have failed to produce any results, and visual examinations reveal little. As of now, it is unknown whether or not the planet is artificial, or if it is part of a natural phenomenon involving the nearby stars.
Corona Research Station - Built in response to the variety of phenomenon within the Utopia system, the Corona Research Station represents a joint investment by three of the great houses. Its crew of Liberty, Kusari, and Bretonnian scientists are some of the best in their fields, and the station is regarded as a focal point for intellectual activity within the Sirius sector. Despite this, the crew of the Corona have yet to make significant progress on unraveling the system's many secrets, with the majority of their effort going into the nearby star formation. With the presence of nearby Nomad relics, it is speculated the formation is a result of some long forgotten Nomad project within the system, it's goal unknown.
Vienna
Banberg Asteroid Field - The original exploration and eventual settlement of the Vienna system can be largely attributed to the Babenberg asteroid field. Although now barren, and ignored by the Rhinelanders, the asteroid field was once resource rich, making the Vienna system an important holding of Rhineland since its discovery.
Lutheran Cloud - Early expansion into the Vienna system was not without complications for the Rhineland government. Pirates quickly set up operations alongside initial mining. The relatively unknown and uninhabited Lutheran cloud made for an excellent staging ground, and was soon a small haven for criminal organizations throughout Rhineland space. However, a military task force purged the Lutheran cloud and all of its inhabitants, and it has since been abandoned.
Pius Depot - Once a haven for pirates in the Lutheran system, the Pius depot is now largely abandoned a testament to the precision of the Rhineland military. The station is occasionally used however, by both the Junkers and the Rhineland military, who use Pius station as a storage site for salvage and as a stop for patrols. A skeleton crew of maintenance robots continues to run the facility.
Metternich Yards - Metternich Smelter's counterpart, the Yards are owned and operated by the Rhineland military. Originally created to cut shipping times to Rhineland's main shipyards, the Metternich yards eventually became the largest in all of Rhineland, and when the Banberg's supply of natural resources let out the Yards were repurposed, along with the construction of the Smelter, to recycling the hulks left behind from the 70 year war. The Yards now work full time on the creation of battleships, and have significantly bolstered Rhineland's military.
Sigismund Cloud - The Sigismund cloud marks one of the most critical points in all of Rhineland as it contains the only jump gate leading into the Vienna system. Because of this there is a significant concentration of Rhineland military units within the cloud, marking one of the best defended areas of space within the Sirius sector.
Omega 52
Aragon Lava Cloud - The Aragon field dominates much of Sigma 52, and is a rather uninteresting formation. With little promise of riches or discovery outside of the overlapping Juan field many areas of Aragon have gone completely unexplored.
Ibiza - Discovered by Zoner scouts, the planetoid Ibiza is a natural oddity located within the Aragon lava cloud. Despite the presence of the lava field in the space outside of Ibiza the surface of the planetoid is covered in liquid water. The temperature of Ibiza's surface, however, indicates that the water is always at a point of boiling, and more often than not simply evaporating. It now hosts an incredibly thick atmosphere, increasing at a surprising rate. It is theorized that the planet is geologically nonexistent, and is simply the product of several large asteroid impacts, one of which recently introduced water. Perhaps more interestingly, Ibiza produces an unusual amount of garbled radio signals, believed to be the remnants of some sort of distress beacon unable to penetrate the thick atmosphere. The exact origin of these signals are unknown, as they have been unable to be successfully tracked, but the possibility of discovering some alien derelict has encouraged the Zoners to continue their search across the planet.
Juan Gold Field - The most attractive feature of the Omega 52 system, the Juan gold field is a highly rich field located partially within the Aragon cloud. Zoner miners from the nearby Freeport have pulled a large profit from the field, but it is not without its price. Juan is highly irradiated, making any long term mining dangerous, and the miners are often preyed upon by pirates seeking to make a quick profit.
Gallia/Roda Asteroid Field - An asteroid field containing only common minerals more easily found elsewhere, the Gallia/Roda asteroid field's only use has been as cover for illicit activities.
Freeport 14 - With the discovery of the Juan gold field construction quickly began on Freeport 14. The construction quickly paid for itself as the new Zoner base allowed for extended mining operations, netting incredible income. After several months of mining operations exploration of the Aragon lava cloud eventually began. This, in turn, led to the discovery of Ibiza, which resulted into a boom in Freeport 14. The station is now divided between its extensive mining operations and the much smaller and more dedicated research department, and supports a relatively large population. If the tentative exploration of the Aragon cloud continues to produce discoveries, or if the surveying of Ibiza proves successful, it is likely that Freeport 14 will be expanded upon once again, potentially making it one of the largest Zoner bases.
Omega 35
Nerja Minefield - A mystery within the Omega 35 system, the Nerja minefield is of unknown origins and unknown purpose. Predating any logged exploration of the system, or any development for that matter, the Nerja field is unique in that it does not appear to be an example of either Human or Nomad construction. The general design of the field, however, suggests that it is protecting some object within. There have been no successful attempts to penetrate the field.
Minoa - At first glance Minoa seems to be a run of the mill Jupiter like planet, with little to distinguish it from other gas giants. Its composition is relatively worthless, and any attempts to harvest its gas would be hampered by the extreme winds and pressure of Minoa's atmosphere. However, the planet has recently distinguished itself through the discovery of artificial features within its atmosphere. Large energy sources have been detected, as well as hints of artificial structures. The origins of these remain unknown, and as of yet the necessary equipment to penetrate Minoa's atmosphere has not been provided. However, an expedition is set to study the planet within a few years.
Cerea/Adria Asteroid Field - Primarily composed of common elements, and located in a peripheral area of the Sirius sector, the Cera/Aridia field has received little attention from any House corporations. As a result, the field is an ideal location for criminals to perform their business uninterrupted, and would make a perfect hiding place for a pirate's base. However, the field is uninhabited by criminals, who avoid the field as much as possible. The exact reason for their dislike of the field is unknown, and it is believed some disastrous incident may have occurred there, causing rumors to spread about the underground community.
Ionnia Field - Located in the outer verge of Omega 35, the Ionnia field is perhaps the least explored formation in all of Sirius. It is distant, dangerous, and offers no clear profit or motive for exploration, and the few souls who attempt to enter this field rarely make it far before turning back, or vanishing. Strange readings have been detected within Ionnia, however, but are ignored due to the extremely hazardous nature of the cloud.
Koto Field - Resembling the Badlands found within the New York system, the Koto Field differs in that it is bizarrely uninhabited by criminals. Much like Omega 35's asteroid fields the exact reason for this avoidance is unknown.
Lucena Ice Field - The Lucena contains surprisingly high concentrations of the dangerous element dihidrogen monoxide. There have been no attempts to harvest this resource.
Pompeii
Secandus Minefield - This massive minefield is the dominant structure in the Pompeii system. Created over the course of several centuries, dating back almost to the system's first settlement, the Secandus field has been expanded upon numerous times by its occupants. The field itself is now a mix of different designs, technologies, and methodologies, demonstrating a slow evolution of technology within the Sirius sector. At this point in time it is quite possible it is the largest in all of Sirius.
Floronius/Orpheus/Fisica Smog Cloud - One of several smog clouds within the Pompeii system, containing mining operations.
Sigma 21
Atimetus Nebula - With a high concentration of valuable gases, the Atimetus Nebula is the primary reason for travel in Sigma 21. Its discovery initially led to a rush into the system as prospectors desperately tried to eke out profits amongst their many competitors. The rush would eventually attract the attention of several pirate groups, leading to massive waves of piracy, eventually ending all mining within the system. It was not until recently that the Atimetus nebula saw activity again.
Sabinus/Moralist/Nicanor/Menander Minefield - Constructed in an attempt to avoid the same fate that struck Sigma 21 in the past, the Sabinus/Moralist/Nicanor/Menander minefield is one of the many in the system that protect resourcing operations.
Sigma 205
Isidorus Gas Cloud - Highly volatile and almost impossible to navigate, the Isidorus Gas Cloud is composed of an almost inconceivably valuable element. Despite the danger, at least one attempt has been made to mine the cloud, ending with disaster.
Artyom Depot - Finding any potential competitors reluctant to mine the Isidorus cloud the Junkers sized their chance to strike it rich. The Artyom Depot was constructed shortly after the system's discovery and led an incredibly short and prosperous career. Although initial mining expeditions were lucrative, disaster struck only months into the Depot's operation, leading to a chain reaction of the stored gas. The Depot was heavily damaged and immediately abandoned.
Centenary/Epaphra/Stronius Asteroid Field - These asteroid fields do not match the standard compositions of those found within the Sigma systems, suggesting distant origins. It is suspected that these fields originated within the Edge Worlds.
