Saw something funny this morning I thought you folks would appreciate. I park in a park and ride, then ride a bus in to work. Saves me 30 miles of driving every day, and I love it. The thing is, the lot is a permit-only lot, and it's patrolled pretty regularly. It's just a fifty dollar ticket, but even so the University really holds you to it. It's legal to park there after five, but between 8-5 you need a permit.
So this morning I saw someone who was clearly not supposed to be parked there. The car had no permit on it to park there. As I walked past it to the bus I noticed a note on the car, which I read as I walked past. The note said, "PLEASE DON'T TICKET ME? LOCKED KEYS IN CAR WILL MOVE ASAP!" I thought that was a nice touch, because it really is a person who writes those tickets, and who knows? Maybe a warning. And sure enough, there were the keys to the car, sitting in the ignition. Only thing was, the note was on the dashboard, inside the car.
A flawless ploy, poorly executed.
