After Downloading and installing mIRC, running to program will make you arrive with a page that gives all the information, and information on your trial period (which you dont have to worry about...ever).

Click continue...

Fill out the Your name and email.

Then press ok.

You should be lead to a blank page, in the box where you usually type messages, type /server irc.swiftirc.net:

type the channel you wanna join in the boxed area (I.E. #irchelp, #X, etc)

-note- If you did not know, there are IRC servers out there that are not for RS, IRC was not made for Swiftswitch

III. Basic interface

1. Disconnect- Simple enough, disconnect from the servers

2.Options- mIRC options, Basic options:
-Perform- in the Connect->Options-> box, there is a buttom there called "perform...", after pressing it:

the perform means, everytime you connect it will perform a certain command automatically. So you could type in the /msg nickserv identify blah blah, in there, and each time yu connect to the server, it will automatically identify for you. Also if you wanted to set UMODES or join a channel everytime on a certain server, you can also (/join #serv). Its very nifty

-autojoiner- Remember that autojoiner you had on swiftswitch? Well its on mirc too Go to IRC options:

another thing that can be taken into consideration for easy access to the server...

To add SwiftIRC to your ServerList do the following...

Then fill out The Discription to your hearts contend. Then Type in the

server irc.SwiftIRC.net and click Add

Now back on the previous menu click Connect To Server and enjoy.

Scripts editor-You've been waiting for it, and here it is, the little green button at the top, the scripts editer! Here is where you edit/make/load your cool scripts
