Pickin' Gems

When a menu item is selected, there should be some sort of difference. A few differences include:
    - Making a colored box around the text
    - Making the text lightly colored
    - Making the text different colored     
    - Changing  the image of the menu item

Which to use? 
    - Making the text lighter/different colored would be the easiest approach and is effective, so I’ll go with that
