<Zopiac_> hey guys, ive got a problem with screen flipping
<Rupp> don't let it lol
<Bloodhound> flipping meaning?
<Rupp> yell at it
<Zopiac_> rotating
<Bloodhound> in X only, or generally?
<Rupp> exorcism ?
<pupuser3c0842> hi all ;)
<Zopiac_> im using it solely in X
<Rupp> hello pupuser3c0842
<Bloodhound> Zopiac_, but is it doing it on a tty as well?
<Zopiac_> xrandr -o left flips the screen nicely, but the panel stays like halfway up the screen and fullscreening only covers some of the screen
<Bloodhound> you only have issues with xrandr ??
<Zopiac_> what do you mean
<Bloodhound> Zopiac_, try to describe your issue exactly and in a logical way
<Zopiac_> i thought i just did, i dont know what else to say
<Bloodhound> at least then asnwer questions as is
<Bloodhound> you *only* have issues with xrandr ??
<Zopiac_> but i ont know what you are asking
<Zopiac_> hence 'what do you mean'
<Bloodhound> whats your purpose of using xrandr?
<Zopiac_> to rotate the screen
<Bloodhound> what for??
<Zopiac_> i dont know of any other purposse for it
<Zopiac_> because the screen is extremely widescreen and it would be easier to read full pages of a PDF manga if it was rotated
<Zopiac_> now i have NO CLUE how that could possibly matter... >_>
<Bloodhound> ah, shortscreen...
<Zopiac_> i just have a problem with fullscreen applications not fully fullscreening (?) but instead going only to the taskbar, which is about 3/5 up the screen
<Bloodhound> you *only* have issues when using xrandr ??
<Zopiac_> yes
<Bloodhound> sheesh, thats what you should have said from the *start*
<Zopiac_> i thought that was quite basic
<Bloodhound> pardong?
<Bloodhound> you talked about your *screen*
<Bloodhound> not even about X
<Zopiac_> and how fullscreen apps didnt even fullscreen all of the way
<Bloodhound> do they withoxrandr?
<Bloodhound> do they without xrandr?*
<Zopiac_> they are fully fullscreened without xrandr, yes (or with cxrander -o normal)
<Zopiac_> xrandr*
<Bloodhound> try #xorg
<Bloodhound> <Zopiac_> i dont know of any other purposse for it <-- e.g. i use xrandr to change resolution
<Zopiac_> well i just learned about xrandr about 15 minutes ago, and didnt look further than the flip function
<Bloodhound> ...
<Bloodhound> there is NO fuction called "flip"!
<Zopiac_> its what it does tho
<Bloodhound> ...
<Zopiac_> i googled puppy linux flip screen and xrandr popped up
<Bloodhound> xrandr --help
<Bloodhound> xrandr -q
<Bloodhound> jesus
<Rupp_> died for our sins
 Rupp Rupp_
<Bloodhound> Rupp_, i hafta admit that your approach to the subject was prolly more adequate than mine
<Rupp_> Bloodhound: I actually say that with a smirk everytime
