Sorry I haven't been on much. But my uncle went into the hospital yesterday morning, I spent the night at the hospital their chairs are not comfy they are painful now I have a stiff neck. Anyways... My uncle has phenomena that has set in his left side (he was too bull headed to go to the doctor before now). They have him on ventilator (so he can breath) his oxygen level goes down to 25 and had respiratory arrest this morning cause they put the breathing treatment in on his left side which caused his levels to go down. Their suppose to wing him off the ventilator so he went 4 hours last night without it and did fine but this morning he could be off it for an 1 hour when they had to stop cause of his levels and problems. Their suppose to try him without it later tonight and see how he does, their thinking tomorrow they will have him completely off it but I think it is too soon since he had problems this morning with it. And we found out an hour ago he has a staff infection so now we have to wear gloves, mask, cap, and gown to see him. They have him on pain medication, and sleep medication so we wont fight the ventilator since he didn't want it, my aunt wouldn't listen so she had them to put him on it. But thats whats going on here. :( My aunt tried to get me thrown out of the hospital but then came around to her senses. My uncle is off the ventilator totally as of yesterday and is in his own room now. He was like a dad to me he took me away from mom and dad and raised me so I been spending as much time with him as I can.

I have to apologize for hurting you. That is the last thing I wanted to do.
As far as fb goes, I am the last one to know everything about it. My assumption was and still is, if someone went to my wall they could read anything that I can read. Regardless, I don't think posting things about work and wages should be posted. I know you feel it's your business to be able to do that. I didn't let anyone read any messages that I read. Rhoades is the only one that I showed that to.
I don't' know anything about what goes on in the office. The best time for any student worker to call in is probably the first thing in the morning when all the children are being dropped off.
Again, I am sorry that you were hurt by this. The goal was not for someone to benefit from this but for it to not happen again. And like I said before, I didn't know how to handle it. I approached you before about the pictures and should have done the same this last time.
Summer Lipscomb November 29 at 9:40pm
What i post on my wall are things only MY friends can see. You see it in your friend feed, not on your wall. You see it because you're my friend. Now if you let someone on your account to see what i said, then thats pretty bad in my opinion. While i was talking to rhoades she explained why we can't take the children to the bathroom. Before that, nobody had ever said why.
The photos were removed shortly after you told me that i could not have them up.
I feel you should have said something to me before doing that. But what do i know.
Pictures are gone, my mouth is shut about anything concerning my job.
Also, i wasn't being sarcastic about you enjoying your vacation, i'm not that petty. I'm trying to find another job, we'll see how that goes. The last thing i want to do is make things awkward between me and anyone else at the center since i will eventually have to be back for student teaching. Its not only because of this but apparently if i don't talk to someone when i call in, its considered a no call, even if i leave a message which is absolutely the dumbest thing i've ever heard. What about the times when the secretaries were in the kitchen? There was nobody answering the phone, how is that MY fault? That nonsense alone makes me want to leave.
I enjoy my job, and i had felt close to you. You were someone i could trust, but things change i guess.
I'm very hurt by your decision and right now i can't see how anyone benefited by it.
Patricia Knudsen Hilt November 29 at 6:56pm Report
Summer, whoever has access to my wall can read whatever someone has written. It's not your wall they'd see it on but mine. You were complaining about not being paid enough for the work you do and for not being able to take the children to the bathroom. Was it explain to you why you aren't allowed too?
Summer, I never said anything about you posting pictures on fb and that could have gotten all of us in trouble. Do you realize that? And there were a lot of people who could have seen that.
If you want to discuss the center and what goes on there with anyone, send them a message to them personally. You have all the right to complain about work just not where it can be read by a lot of people. I didn't make this decision on my own. I discussed it with a couple of people and wasn't sure how to handle it. I could have lost my job too by not disclosing the information about you posting the pictures.
Just be careful about what you discuss and post on your wall.
You don't have to be sarcastic with me by telling me to enjoy my vacation.
Summer Lipscomb November 25 at 6:21pm
I'm sorry to have had to remove you but i can only assume you brought the conversation between jessica and I to rhoades. I feel this was unfair. While the conversation may have taken place on my facebook, my profile is not public. Some random person who i have not let see my details could not search for me and see my information or posts.
Now because of this i have nearly lost my job. If i post anything about my job again, despite if its good or not i will lose my job.
I feel i have the right to complain about my job and what i do at it. I also feel very insulted and hurt by your choice to do this. I'm sorry it had to come to this, hope you enjoy your vacation.

Just wanted to ask the members if you guys think we should become a closed group.
This is to protect the identity of those who love to smoke and get high and to protect those that are buying and selling from each other (me included).
we all know what its like to be in need of a spliff and your local dealer can't sort you out , we should be able to holla at one another here in the group without fear of being written about by journalists(news of the world, need i say more) or accosted by the feds we don't wanna hurt no one we just wanna get high.
i know its not the best way to keep the group secure but at least i can vet who joins!!
What do ya think, vote on the group wall , yes for private and no for open.
Happy smoking!!!
P.s. if you wanna become an officer for the group then msg me to the inbox and ill hook you up.

Gene, thank you. Mom is 86yo & has raised nine of us kids. She's done well. The NH she's in is doing very well caring for her. She repeats things because she forgets she's told you something, sometimes even 5min later. We're hoping that w/ PT she'll get strong enough to be out of the wheelchair [w/c] and using a walker but that's coming along slowly.
Thank you for your prayers. I'm glad Marie has settled in & is doing well in her new home. I'm sure that was a hard decision/step for you to take.
I missed seeing her in church although I haven't been going much lately since Pastor Larry left. Not sure I like Pastor Marie Hatcher although I guess there are some members that do. Sandy is being let go by the end of the year due to a council decision that the positions of music director, secretary, lawn care, & janitor can no longer be members or former members so this also affects Debbie Jones & Jeramiah. I must say I can't understand any rationale for doing this. Change--it's inevitable & sometimes not easy to accept, at least not initially.
Well, guess I'm a little chatty!! Have a good day, Gene.

Really don't even have to be old to have some of these problems anymore. I do hope you have someone to share the care load with you. Marie has settled in very well now at her new home. She now feels totally at home there. She does receive excellent care. I will be keeping your mom and you in my prayers. Wish I could help in some way.

Thank you, Gene. And the same to you, Marie & your family also.
I am actually up here in North Dakota to visit my mom. She has had short term memory problems for a few years. It has gotten progressively worse, subtly, gradually. In October she was forgetting to take some of her meds, developed weakness, had some falls. Ultimately fell twice 10/20 breaking her fibula near the ankle, no surgery needed, but was in the hospital for a week. While in the hospital she got very confused for a time & had some hallucinations, but gradually improved. It was determined she could not be alone especially w/ a non-walking cast on so then went to a nursing home/NH 10/27. She is getting physical therapy/PT & they will gradually allow her to walk. That has been very limited so far but does have a walking cast on since 11/16.
We think she is now back to her 'baseline' for memory--which is not good & shows she does need supervision. The concern being for medication compliance & safety for fall risk. She, of course, would like to be able to return to her apartment but that won't/can't happen. There aren't many assisted living places here & it's unlikely the one possible option will have an opening an time soon so she will need to stay at a nursing home. We will be closing her apartment & put things in storage.
Well, I know you weren't expecting this kind of story w/ you greetings but there it is. I think I'll use some of this in an email update to family.
Best regards, Penny

I got two calls from my oldest brother, Dave, in about 30min time--about an hr ago. Mom apparently has been falling more & having difficulty getting up. One time fell off couch & couldn't get up for an hour and falling off her bed. She had clinic appt yest but it's not clear what it was for--just blood test and/or saw dr. Afterwards fell off bed again & couldn't get up, not sure for how long, so she pushed her alert button [I have no idea when she got this but thank goodness she has it]. Ambulance arrived, no transport done. Dave & his wife, Bev, were on their way to see Mom when he called me the first to report recent falls. When they got therr she had fallen again!! Had pushed the alert button & ambulance was right behind Dave/Bev. Their regs stipulate that if called a second time within 24hrs they need to transport, so she's been taken to hospital. Hope they find out why she keeps falling. Maybe she will need to go to nursing home instead of assisted living. I told Dave that he needs to be sure she is taken off her Coumadin/warfarin [blood thinner to prevent blood clot formation due to atrial fib/irreg heartbeat]. I said w/ this many falls, the risks outweigh the benefits of taking it any longer.

Thanks Alicja! Debra actually thinks that Maloti (ex-girlfriend) put her friend up to it in order to get me to call her or something. This thought just makes me mad. I have decided just not to think about it... So now I am just sitting back to listen to Bruckner's glorious 3rd again (very loudly, much to my housemate's distress) and arguing condescendingly about theory with others on Facebook. This is a much better way to spend my time when sick. Makes me forget about how gross I feel..
How is your weekend? Sunny in Ghent? Had a listen to Mahler yet? This is next on my playlist -- I love that symphony!!!

I didn't know (or I forgot - very possible as well) that Debra is psychologist. Let's suggest that it's a con, does it make you feel worse? Isn't it better that someone else acts stupid and childish then that you have to feel guilty about the past? Honestly, I don't understand people who make fun of such things, but maybe it's better knowing that your ex-girlfriend is doing alright (I mean that she didn't had a breakdown and that she didn't had to go to a psychiatric institution), but that she has stupid friends who wanted to scare you. (If I understand the situation well?)
But the most important thing is: You have no reason to feel crappy and you have no reason to feel a sucker at all!!!
How is your cold? Do you feel already better?

Durga, had just heard very minute information from someone else, so the comment wasn't really her fault...
I feel so aweful... There is probably nothing I could have done. One, she lived bout 500 kms away, and two, she did not tell me about taking the medication. From what I gather it was actually during the trip to Austria when she began taking the meds. Despite this, I cannot help feeling somehow accountable for her suffering, sinse I really retreated during the time she began having this reaction. With that said, she was always different, so I would under no impression that it was drug-related.
It is a little strange for her university to call me. Some of my friends questioned its authenticity, but I think in this case I should assume it is legitimate. (sigh). I don't like this at all :(

Hi Chris,
Oh yes, that would be shocking. I understand that it wasn't a nice phone call to get. I thought that it wouldn't be something serious after someone replied on your wall with "hahahaha... I know". But it's nothing to laugh with.
You wrote you feel like crap, is it because you have a guilty conscience that you left her when she had a breakdown? Do you think you would have done something else when you had known she is "just" reacting strange because of her drugs?
It's strange they called you from the university as she is already in Malaysia. Why so?
Take care for yourself and don't feel crappy!!!
Talk soon,
