Plug and play , protable, home , head unit , ask the customer to be as specific as possible i.e.sportster , stiletto 100 , conductor , etc

Primary Q's need to ask
1) what is specific issue
No power , no display , no audio , etc
2)is the unit connected to a power source and powered On ?
attempt to power cycle the unit
3)are all of the connection fitted tightly ?are the cable in good condition (no kinks or cuts) ?
4)is your antenna installed properly and does it have a clear view to the sky ?
5) if possible ask the customer to test in an alternate docking to determine if the dock is defictive

- if in a vehicle is it installed properly?
- is there at least 3 inches of metal sirface surrounding the antenna
- is the antenna obstructed by a roof rack ?

transmitter issue
*) is your serius receiver and the vehicles stereo tuned to the same FM frequency ?
- in order to hear sirius through the car stereo the receiver and car stereo must be tumed on the same frequency
- the customer can access the FM tramsmitter setting on most of our radios by pressing either setting or menu then FM transmitter
*) are both the receiver and car stereo tuned to the proper frequency ?
- the customer needs to find an FM frequency that is not broadcasting in their area. if the customer attempts to listen to sirius via an FM frequency that is used by a local broadcaster, it willinterfere with the performance of the radio
