My views and opinions on psychology seems to be a mixture of several different schools of thoughts. I agree with the

view of Behaviorism in that I believe that positive and negative influences affect human behavior. For example, most humans

would not touch an object that had shocked them twice. I agree with the viewpoint of Humanistic Psychology in that I believe

humans are innately good and have free will. For example, as a human being, I could make the free will choice to again

touch the object that had already shocked me, knowing that it will shock me again. The school of psychology that I am most

interested in is Psychoanalysis, championed by Sigmund Freud. I agree with Mr. Freud that every human has a

subconciousness that houses their unconcious impulses, wishes and desires that affect our behavior, thoughts, and actions. I

disagree with Mr. Freud in that I feel that that humans can conciously control their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and I feel

their our subconcious has a partial say in how we as humans control these things. I feel that Psychoanalysis a very indepth form

of psychology, taking into account the effects of environment and events in explaining why we behave the way we do. I don't

think that any school of psychology is correct, but a combination of many of the schools give a accurate description of the

human subconcious and behavior.

I use psychology every day in my life. I try to smile at every one that I interact with, when I first meet them. I've noticed

that people tend to react to me better if I flash them a smile when we first meet. I noticed that smiling at someone, especially if

they are in a bad mood or having a bad day, can be very disarming and make them feel better. If I feel that someone I know

has something on their mind, I try to give them an outlet to talk about it.
