Setting up FreeNX from sources on any platform with Debian

add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb-src http://debian.tu-bs.de/project/kanotix/stable/ stable-backports nx
install needed packages:
apt-get install cdbs autotools-dev patchutils autoconf bzip2 zlib1g-dev libpng12-dev libjpeg62-dev xlibs-dev libfreetype6-dev libmikmod2-dev libssl-dev libxaw7-dev build-essential fakeroot debhelper automake1.4 dpatch expect tcl8.4 xutils netcat
Compiling
cd /usr/src; mkdir nx; cd nx
apt-get update && apt-get source nx freenx
cd nx-1.4.92+1.5.0
fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage -b
cd ..; sudo dpkg -i *.deb
cd freenx-0.4.4+0.4.5/
fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage -b
cd ..; dpkg -i freenx_0.4.4+0.4.5-2sarge1_all.deb
Select which type of ssh keys you would like to use, they easy start would be to use the one supplied with Nomachines Client.
This has been tested on the following platforms:
* Debian Linux Sarge PPC
* Debian Linux Sarge AMD64-K8
* Debian Linux Sarge i686
