The Dragon Templars
Constitution and Lawbook
Implentation Version
Details on the proposed structure of the Dragon Templar Runescape clan. This document outlines and explains the constitution of the proposed structure. This constitution adresses many problems currently in TDT, such as proper rewards, ranks, rank permissions and forms of immediate disciplinary actions as well as disciplinary action in the absence of higher ranks, and tighter recruitment requisites.
This document spares fancy decoration and formatting for the sake of concentrating attention on the subject matter.

Section 1. Purpose
[Part A]
The Dragon Templars was once renown for it's absolute law and militaristic attitude. With this solid structure, TDT quickly grew to be one of the best and most powerful average-level clans in existance. Due to a series of unfortunate events, TDT has lost much of it's law, and as a result much of it's splendor. Creators of this constitution, Locke Watts and SuperMechaCow, are two devoted Templars eager to restore TDT to it's full luster. They have spent many hours preparing this structure, and we are aware that implenting it may cause a large drop in numbers. We believe that TDT has always required members of excellent character and ability to perform and follow orders. This tests our current members and future members, and assures top-notch quality of our entire clan.
We deeply believe that this constitution can restore our clan to it's original might and glory.

Section 3. Recruitment Process
[Part A]
To insure that only the players with the most potential are initiated into the clan, several steps are taken in the recruitment process. It is the responsiblity of the player who wishes to join TDT to accurately complete the application process. This shows initiative and independence. After the said player has been accepted, (s)he must go through a week-long probation period. This determines the activeness and amount of effort the player is planning on devoting to the clan. This may deter players from joining, but keep in mind that a few good players are always better than 400 inactive ones.
[Part B]
Just as before, when the potential recruit has come across the TDT forums, he will be presented with information on how to apply for TDT. These steps will be defined in a pinned post in the Application Counter forum.
1. Make yourself aware of clan rules and recuirment procedures.
2. Register a Forum Account. Wait for Approval.
3. Make an application post in the Application Counter forum. Use the format below.
4. Await Approval.
5. Once Approved, your Probation Period starts
6. Complete the Probation Period Succesfully
7. Post again on your own application with proper proof of completion.
8. If the proof is adequate, a council member will add you to the roster, and you will gain the service rank rank of Private. Your Combat rank will also be applied.
[Part C]
The format of the application post should be as follows.
1. Your Runescape Name
2. Your Combat Level
3. Your Runescape Client
4. Your IRC Client
5. Do you have any previous clan experience?
6. What do you have to offer TDT? Why would we want you in our clan?
7. Do you understand the Probation Period, and are ready to complete it upon approval?
[Part D]
Once you have been accepted, you are put into a one week Probation Period. This period tests your ability to follow orders and how devoted you are. You are to complete the requirements set before the end of this probation period, and post proof of completion on your original application. You may post no sooner than the day of your acceptance of the next week and no later than one full day after that (ie. if you are accepted thursday, you my not post completion until the thursday of the next week, and may not post completion past friday).
[Part E]
During your Probation Period, you must complete the following things.
You must post at least 10 times on the forums
o Your post count will be set to 0
o None of these posts may be "spam" or short replies
o Higher ranking members may remove credit for any posts they see fit
You must be on IRC 5 of the 7 days
You must accumalate 10 Service Points (explained later)
You must complete the Initiate's Quest
o Service Points from this quest do count towards your initial 10
You must be level 85
o Note that you do not have to be 85 to start
[Part F]
Note that failure to complete even one of the steps in the application process and the Probation Period can lead to being "removed from the clan". This term is later explained in Rules and Policies. You are free to, however, restart your probation or sumbit a new application later, but you must wait for the effects of being "removed" to expire.

Section 4. Points System
[Part A]
TDT will include two types of ranks. Service Points are used to help determine the Service Rank of a member. This is further discussed in the next section, however, this section provides a description of how these points are used.
The Point System is used to standardize rewards and discipline for members. The more points the member has recieved, the closer he is to being considered for promotion. The following is an overview of how points can be earned and taken away from members.
[Part B]
Earning/Losing Points
Action Points Explanation
Misbehavior -6 to -1 Punishment from a higher rank. Depends on the member's rank and power.
Weekly Point Loss -4 This is simply to keep the roster clean and members active.
Good Deed +1 to +4 Awardable by Majors and up. Providing good information or being diplomatic.
Hosting an Event +2 Starting up a successful event.
Appearing at an event +3 Showing up to and event from start to finish.
Providing Prize +X Providing prize money for an event. +1 point for every 100k in the prize price.
Clan Quest +X Each Clan Quest provides a different reward.
[Part C]
-Misbehavior- Breaking rules and pollicies can lead to a higher ranking member taking points from you. The number of points depends on the severity of the offense and the rank of the member removing points from you.
-Weekly Point Loss- Every Sunday, thhe entire TDT roster loses 4 points from their service rank. This keeps mediocre members from advancing for doing very little, and slowly pushes inactive and missing members off the roster.
-Good Deed- Sometimes, a higher-rankking member will see something good you've done forthe clan, and award you points. The number of points deserves on the helpfulness and the rank of the person giving you points.
-Hosting an Event- Organizing an eveent whether by premade plans on forums or spontaneous organization on IRC will earn you points upon sucess. You will earn 1 point for four or more attendees to your event. See Proof of Acivity for more details.
-Attending an Event- If you are at aan event from start to finish, you will be rewarded 3 points.
-Providing Prize- Some events give oout a cash/item prize to the winners. Providing part or all of the prize for an event will earn you one point for every 100,000 gold worth of cash/items you donate.
-Clan Quest- Clan quests reward poinnts for completion. Each quest is different, so the points you earn my vary.
As before mentioned, these points counts towards potential Service Rank advancement. More information on this is provided below.

Section 5. Changing Rank
[Part A]
After a player has completed their Probation Period, they may then be able to change their rank. There are two types of rank in TDT. The first, Service Rank, depends on your worhtfulness and loyalty to the clan. This uses the point system, as explained in the previous section. The second type of rank is the Combat Rank, which relies solely on your Combat Level. This is used to determine mini-rosters in wars with member caps.
[Part B]
In order to advance in service rank, a member must first earn a set amount of points. Once he has earned the proper amount of points, he is elgible for consideration for promotion for that rank. In contrast, if the said member's points drops below the number of points needed for his current rank, he is now able to be considered for demotion. Though promotion and demotion are ultimately up to the member in charge of promotions, a member cannot change rank unless he has the appropriate number of points. For example, a member with 298 points and is a major could be considered for demotion, but cannot drop farther than down to Sergeant, as he still has more than 150 points. A good member with 192 points, though he may be good in the position, cannot be promoted to Major until he has earned 300 points.
[Part C]
Combat rank is automatic. Any member who has completed their Probation Period is automatically awarded their appropriate rank. When their combat level changes again, they are immediately awarded their next rank as needed.
[Part D]
The following two tables show the required points and levels needed for promotion/demotion to each rank of each rank type.
Service Rank
Points Rank
0-9 Initiate
10-49 Private
50-149 Regular
150-299 Sergeant

Section 6. Administrative Action
[Part A]
To keep order, Administrative Actions are needed. Misbehaving members can be disciplined with three basic Admin. Actions. IRC Ban, Forum Modification, and Point Modification.
When an administrative action is made, the member who made the action must make a report. This report is a post in the Administrative Office. The post content should use the following format:
Member Affected
What the member did
Acion taken against the member
IP for IRC if needed
Further Explaination
[Part B]
IRC Bans are used when no other options are available. Sometimes point loss is not enough to deter a person in IRC from misbehaving, or sometimes the person is not even in the clan! Temporary bans can be made according to your rank.
Forum Modification is a simple action such as removing 1 post from a post count for a spam post. This is essential for counting posts for Initiates. Other Actions might include locked threads, and modified posts and signatures. These actions in particular do not need a report. The amount of power you have is dependant on your rank.
Officer and above ranks may adjust Service Points of members. This can be Good Deed bonuses, rewards for attending/hosting/etc. events, or punishments for misbehavior. Unlike other actions, these must be approved and carried out by the director of Service Points.
[Part C]
Sometimes high ranking members aren't available to deal with a situation. In this case, a member can make a Misbehavior Report in the Courtroom Forum. The member will explain the situation and provide proof of what occured. Proof my contain screenshots, or the word of two members of Regular rank or higher. Once a higher rank capable of dealing with it has seen the post, he may take an administrative action. However, if the accused is a member of the clan, he should have a chance to defend himself on the thread before action is taken.

Section 7. Rank Powers and Obligations
[Part A]
Each rank gives a ceratin amount of power and responsibilty. This section outlines each rank's definition.
[Part B]
-Initiate- You have just signed up ffor TDT and are now in your Probation Period
-Power- You have no power or say as an Initiate. You may only show up to events and IRC/Forums.
-Obligation- You are you prove your devotion to a clan by completing your Probation Process.
-Private- You are the lowest rankingg member of the clan, but you made it!

-Obligation- You're only responsibillty is staying active enough to either have more than 10 service points at all times or more to advance in rank. Misbehavior reports should be made to report the actions of rulebreakers in the abscence of admins.
-Regular- You're are a common memberr of the clan. You're more respected, but have farther to go yet.
-Power- You are able to do anything a Private may do, but your opinions will matter more.
-Obligation- Your previous obligatioons as a Private remain, but try to stay above 50 service points.
-Sergeant- You are now in the officeer class! You are expected and trusted to keep order in TDT.
-Power- In additon to Regulars powerrs, you now get Half-Operator status in IRC. You may kick/ban rule-breakers from IRC if absolutely necessary for up to one day. You may moderate the forum by means of locking topics that get out of hand. You may also punish rulebreakers by removing 1 to 3 service points from them. In contrast, you can also reward members for good deeds by giving them a point. You may only do either once a day to any one member, but you my do it to multiple players in a day.
-Obligation- Banning a person from IIRC and adding/removing service points to/from a member requires an action report afterwards. Banning a person and failing to make a report can result in losing service points. Kicking from IRC and closing topics do not need reports.
-Major- You are in the upper class oof Officer rank. You are expected and trusted to keep order in TDT.
-Power- Your Sergeants powers are ennhanced. You may now kick/ban for up to one week, add up to 2 points to a member daily or take up to 1 to 4 points away daily.
-Obligation- You are still required to make reports for all administrative actions you make.
-General- You are one of the most trrusted and elite members of TDT.
-Power- Your Majors powers are enhannced. You may now kick/ban permanently, add up to 3 points to a member daily or take up to 1 to 5 points away daily. You now have Operator status in IRC. You may also accept and monitor members applying in the Application Counter, being in charge of iniates and monitoring their Probation Period progress. Furthermore, you may remove members from the clan entirely if need be.
-Obligation- You are still required to make reports for all administrative actions you make.
-Administrator- You are the top rankking member in the clan. You are in charge of making the clan function. You may be given a specific duty to control. You are greatly trusted and your position is most honorable.
-Power- Your Generals powers are enhhanced. You may now kick/ban for permanently, add up to 4 points to a member daily or take up to 1 to 6 points away daily. You are also given a specific job to do in the clan. Furthermore, you may remove members from the clan entirely if need be.
-Obligation- You are still required to make reports for all administrative actions you make. This is simply to prevent confusion.
[Part C]
Powers follow the Chain of Command. A member with powers can only affect members with a lower rank. For example, Majors may only take away points from a Sergeant, Regular, Private, or Initiate. Members may not affect members of the same rank. Higher ranking members may override and reverse Administrative Actions made by members lower in rank.
