I’m a Test Development Manager with Brainbench (www.brainbench.com) and I see from your test scores that you seem to be strong in Linux Administration (General). We are creating an Linux Administration (General) fundamentals certification test and I’m looking for Gurus to participate.

This is something that you will be paid to do on your own time.

Here is some more information on the Validator's role.

The Validator tasks include: reviewing and making recommendations for the test outline and the test items. The Validator needs to have access to a Browser. While the tasking for the Validator is less involved (done in less than a day's time, about 2-5 hours), it is a critical role that helps us validate the content of each test item. The comments for the test items are done online, through our Site. The pay for a Validator is $300. Generally, tests contain somewhere between 150-160 items.

You are involved at three steps in the process.

1.  When the Developer completes the Job Task creation, you will make any suggestions to the Dev regarding the tasks and if you think any additional ones should be added. 

2. When the Developer hands in the JTA Elements (sort of a table of contents) of the test.  You will make any suggestions to the Dev regarding the subject matter (maybe a topic is missing that you feel belongs) or the weighting (relative size or importance of the topics).

3. When the Developer completes the questions.  You will check each item for content, correct answer, incorrect answers are really incorrect, is the item relevant to the topic, is the item categorized correctly as a beginner, intermediate or advanced concept. There are other things to check for also-these are the main ones.
