As Niles Township's representative for the Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County (CEDA), Judith Rae Ross tonight accepted a proclamation on the Association's behalf from Mayor Richard Krier of Morton Grove. This proclamation honored CEDA's 40th anniversary and marked September 25th and 26th as CEDA Days in Cook County.

"When children don't have food to eat, CEDA is there," Ross declared in her acceptance speech. "When children need a head start, CEDA is there."

Ross has been a member of the CEDA/Neighbors at Work Executive Committee for ten years, as well as head of the CEDA Community Nutrition Network for seniors. CEDA provides over thirty programs and services to more than 200,000 Cook County residents annually, designed to improve their quality of life and to help them attain economic self-sufficiency.
