This started off with Rintaun informing me I had in fact spelled Onmyoji correctly, as it could be spelled like that, or like "Onmyouji". Mm, mm. Rintaun's a good man, if you haven't gotten into the Nico Nico medleys, DO IT NOW by going to the database he is the administrator of here:
http://kumikyoku.rintaun.net
"Oh is that it, I wondered why it sounded right, but I couldn't place a "u" in the word correctly.
Well, the best sum-up I can make out of that essay is: I am trying to make a sprite movie that adds a visual to go along with the medley(s) audio.
The only difference is it would involve a bit of my own direction, as I've thought over how it would work out multiple times slowly streamlining it in mind. If only there was a way to directly project my thoughts into sprite work, but I digress. Sorry if it sounds a little rude, but I honestly didn't know too much at all about you heretofore (only knowing your personality from your nice change of perspective in the FAQ, God bless you for your gratitude there) and was a little confused with two main things:
1. What the central character looks like, acts like, and is named.
2. What the collective series of animations, were it to be made, would be titled. (Probably going with Project Rintaun)
So after a long rumbling in my head I've come up with a suitable explanation that works well as a plot device. I couldn't explain how one scene of dealing with a set of characters would easily transition into the next scene, but I realized I could develop a system behind the transitions. In my mental-movie the "heroes" would face off against varied people during their song (i.e. Shana, Yuji, Marjorie, and Wilhelmina during the segment of Ryuuseigun where it plays JOINT) and as the segment changed they would run through a portal into the next segment to face the next batch of people. Ultimately the "heroes" end up accomplishing a set goal issued at the beginning of the medley. These goals and portals were operated via a syndicate which the central character is a subordinate of, called "Rintaun". The goals are set by the central character's commanding officer (who I'm sure I can leave unnamed).
Please skip this next part if you'd like, this is again for my reference material:

Plot of each medley
Kumikyoku - Introduce setting, Increase central character's (cc) force by two allies
Ryuuseigun - It's been almost a year since Kumikyoku, the c.c. must rid the world of an evil infecting curse caused by a bizzare orb created by the main enemies in the Rintaun Project, the Onmyoji. However, in it the c.c. will have to face his allies from Kumikyoku, now infected by the curse. The curse can be removed by the Rintaun syndicate badges that the c.c. uses to purify characters and make them into allies, freeing them of the hex as long as they wear the badge.
Urakumikyoku - The traces of the Onmyoji curse have virtually vanished, or so it seems. The c.c. must travel deep into the evil side of the anime world wherein all characters he faces are emotionally distraught and psychotic. Ultimately, the heroes will reach the core of the Rintaun network, stored at the very heart of the twisted realm they plunged into, and shatter it.
Monogatari - With the Rintaun network core fragmented in the last medley, the heroes set out in search of controller who is willing to function as the new core of the Rintaun network. Because of the temporarily broken syndicate, the heroes make use of an old trail of warps that are named the "Trial" portals, and history has it that the portals can only be revealed by a supervisor of the "Trial". The Trial is designed so that at the end of the Trial those who complete it are granted one wish, whatever it may be. Note to self, the supervisor -is- the mysterious magician in blue with a star-and-moon insignia on his hat. This is the first medley wherein not all characters will be fighting the heroes, as there is not a reason for them to.
Shinkyoku - This is supposed to reveal a bit of backstory of the central character, and lead into a side-story (see below). He leaves the other allies in his party temporarily to travel alone through a series of portals created by the new controller. Again, less fights will occur, but some will. At the end of the medley, the c.c. stumbles upon a beautiful view, and tells Shana that he plans to return home.
First side-story - This is composed of three seperate songs, and reveals the whole backstory of the c.c.
Triangle; back inside the Rintaun headquarters, the c.c. is pulling a variety of odd disks from a shelf which hold data on the stories of his fellow allies (which my mind described as "informative AMVs"). He begins to draw out Shana's history disk, when she steps into the room and catches him. He tells her what the disks are, she inquires as to what's on the disk. He puts it into a reader and it plays a summary of Shana's life up to the end of the anime's second season.
Sociometry; when the disk finishes Shana is silent, and requests that the c.c. now give her a look into his past. Taken aback at first, he agrees and pulls out a small glass square pyramid which he places on the palm of Shana's hand. It activates, and the room fades away as the two are enveloped by a large sphere which shows flashbacks of the c.c.'s life. The first 1/3 of the song shows his childhood, and that his parents constantly tried to kill him up to his teenage years. The second 1/3 has him fleeing to join the Rintaun syndicate under the commanding officer who is revealed to be the c.c.'s grandfather (or some relative), and falling in love with a girl his age who is also a subordinate of a different commanding officer in the syndicate. When the song picks up during the second 1/3, the c.c. and the girl are sitting on the edge of a frozen lake in the winter outside the Rintaun HQ, and they are beset upon by the c.c.'s parents who want to kill him once more. As the c.c. is immobilized by the shock of this encounter out of nowhere, the father stabs him and he falls to the ground. The girl rushes the parents in blind fury as she believes the c.c. to be dead and ends up taking a dagger to her heart as she steps between the parents and their son. Their commanders arrive, the parents are taken away and returned to their house. The girl dies, and the c.c. falls into silence, only speaking to his commander. A brief image shows the discovery of the Onmyoji's curse, which was what had plagued the c.c.'s parents for as long as the c.c. had known them. The finale of the song shows him invading his parents' home and with his abilities learned from training in the syndicate disarms his parents and purifies them with Rintaun badges, leaving them unconscious as he leaves the home. When he walks outside, he is shown receiving a transmission with the title "Kumikyoku" (linking this back into the main plot).
Sense; after the sphere from before recedes into the pyramid, Shana asks the c.c. if he has gone to his house since, and he shakes his head in reply. (1st 1/3) They are shown in front of the c.c.'s house, which is now run down. They try the doorbell, but when there's no response they break into the house (the c.c. leading in a worried frenzy), and they discover his parents are gone. Shana confronts the c.c. in a hallway therein, and hands him a picture of his mom, dad, and a newborn baby--marked over with a red pentagram symbol of the Onmyoji. The c.c. breaks down crying on Shana's shoulder, and she tries to comfort him with a small hug as he has never shown so much emotion before. (2nd 1/3) They decide to go to the bastion where they fought the priesthood in Monogatari to rescue the c.c.'s family. When they get outside the c.c.'s house, the two are confronted by the rest of the heroes in the c.c.'s team, and Hanyuu explains she refused to let the c.c. bear this pain alone, as she's been through similar strife. They are shown on the path to the fortress. (Finale) They make it inside, and in the dungeons they find the parents of the c.c. and the baby, who is now two years old since the photo was taken. The c.c. leaves the cell to the others and advances with Shana into the chamber where he fought the Onmyoji priest at the end of Monogatari. Upon entering the chamber, Shana is restrained against a wall by a mysteriously masked person dressed akin to the c.c. The c.c. recognizes the person's weaponry and fighting style, and taking a blow in his shoulder removes the mask. The anonymous one is revealed to be the girl who was killed by the c.c.'s parents when they were under the curse. She says she couldn't leave the Earth as she was bound by her hatred for the parents who she believed had killed her love. The c.c. is silent as she rages in her pitiful fury, and is silenced by a single kiss from the c.c. Shana is bewildered by this and looks away shyly (and anyone who's watched SnS will know why). The ghost girl unbinds Shana and the three of them return to the c.c.'s parents, who embrace their son as well as the girl. The song ends with the c.c. turning to Shana to thank her for reuniting them, telling her to turn around. When she does, the song fades out as she sees Sakai Yuji standing in front of a portal next to a smiling Hanyuu.
Lantis - The group are dispatched by the c.c.'s commander as an official force of the Rintaun network, again not all characters they meet attack them, but some still do. Jumping from anime to anime, their goal is to take down the Onmyoji priest's essence which is attempting to regenerate the priest himself. Three minutes or so into the medley (at the end of the Galaxy Angel Rune OP, I think) the c.c. is separated from his team, and cannot find them. He receives direction from some characters...I can't remember, maybe from Da Capo, maybe not...But he travels through various worlds fighting off the Onmyoji's minions, gaining another ally along the way. At the medley's finale the c.c. and Khi face off against the two Onmyoji leaders on the Lucky Star school grounds (the male priest and the pink-haired person) in front of their companions who are sealed inside magic walls with Konata & Co. locked inside the building. When the leaders are defeated, the magic seal confining the heroes break as an enormous surge of evil cursed characters surround the c.c. and his team. As things look to be hopeless, a voice shouts out from on top of the school which is shown to be Haruhi Suzumiya, who calls into battle a massive influx of good characters from past medleys starting an all-out war of Onmyoji vs. Rintaun. (During a previous part in the medley the c.c. fights Asakura and speaks with the SOS Brigade to get their support for this fight.) Of course, the good guys win.
Hi-Speed - The medley starts with Hanyuu explaining the rules for her new game that covers every expanse of the anime world: tag. If someone tags you on your frontside or backside (indicated by glowing markers), you are temporarily moved to an empty space until the game is over. The c.c.'s troop is divided into smaller groups, and they set off through the portal. Khi, Yuji, and Hanyuu remain in Hinamizawa to make sure no one cheats. All is fine until the part of the medley that shouts "This is one DJ you don't wanna ---- with", and Hanyuu, Khi, and Yuji are all bound, gagged, and tossed into a dark room by a new villain. The man shouts across the world with the unique set-up Hanyuu had prepared that he planned to go after one of the Rintaun heroes' members, and that it is fortunate they haven't been tagged yet as for them, that means death. However, only the Rintaun members hear this, so other characters still try to tag and thereby kill them. As the 44-minute (ugh) long medley progresses, all the members meet up in a strange transparent glass labyrinth. Hatsune Miku is captured by the villain who claims that she will be the "crowning jewel" he needs to complete his lifelong goal. The other heroes charge after him, and eventually are surrounded by wave after wave of the villain's drones. This time they are saved by a strange flash of light, and a new anonymous Rintaun member appears before them as the drones fall to the ground. He speaks something inaudible to everyone but the c.c., and disappears through a portal. At the end of this medley Miku does, as the song is titled, disappear, vaporized into nothing by the villain, but as she dies the building the villain has his lair in explodes as the c.c. and others leave in defeat.
Legend - This one opens with the c.c. members (minus Hanyuu, Khi, and Yuji, who became more or less the Rintaun portal network operators from here on out) in a gloomy state because of the loss of Miku in the last medley. Hanyuu explains that she has combined her native abilities into the Rintaun network, creating a portal that can move a person between not only space now, but time as well. The c.c. and company travel (minus the 3 I said before) into these time warps, facing up against old enemies from past medleys and new ones from strange tangents from the path, as time portals are difficult to control of course. Halfway through the medley or so they team adds Asch from Tales of the Abyss to the party, which I plan to have affect the future as some fights in this medley make sense of what happened in past medleys. The Rintaun member in Hi-Speed turns out to be the c.c. after traveling through a time portal, and they do end up rescuing Miku through exploitation of Hanyuu's ability to loop time so that after the explosion of the villain's lair Miku reappears as she was right before her deletion. They finally escape back to their correct time, and the finale consists of the c.c.'s team cooperating with the c.c.'s team in Monogatari to defeat the Onmyoji (explaining yet more things that are left open as plotholes in previous medleys).
That's as far as I've walked with my brain. I still would like to do the Niwaka medley as well, and will record a second side-story revolving around Touhou Project that, if it works out, would end up being as long as a ninety minute long movie. I'm amazed at how much effort stands before me, but I'd love to finish my side-project first because if I can do that much then this will just be an extension of that.
Hope this helped you somewhat, and I would also like to ask your participation (since you don't seem as scary as I had previously thought you to be, which is wrong because I know better than to make such rash assumptions) in the side project that only requires one question to be answered by you. :3
Please don't hurt yourself reading, and this is definitely going on my blog,
