Being close to the biggest birds in the sky was a rush in itself. It was and still is my ticket to freedom and a life different from my own. I remember traveling on one of the airplanes that would take me to El Salvador as clear as if it happened yesterday. The nerves, the suspense, the realization that I would be flying in the air above all and the fact that I would be leaving home to a whole different place. The many windows, the huge engines, the white body, the tail at the end, they were all things that I saw right away.
Airplanes are as important to me as candy is. That says a lot because candy is just delicious and keeps you happy and hyper for a good minute. When I look at airplanes it brings back memories on trips I have been on and thats something I enjoy. Brings back memories on the beach watching the boats come in after a day of fishing, the sun melting into the ground going from bright yellow burning everything in its site to a mellow orange that creates a sense of relaxation and a care free world. I remember the sketchy guy who sold ice cream but he didnt even have ice cream most the time instead he would lie to me and try to sell me soda which he said was special and made everything 100 times funner. I would believe his malicious lies and buy one just to find out it was a normal pepsi but since kids were deprived of the smallest things they got the biggest sugar rush from them and went on to buy more from him.
I like the feeling of being on top of the world, all the way up in the clouds where I can literally say I have my head in the clouds. I mean I look down and everyone/everything looks like ants its the best feeling in the world. Then when we land and Im back on the ground I play with the ants so I can always have that exhilarating feeling of being on top. Planes bring many happy memories to me except when they go boom an crash, then they make me sad.
