I am a Site Administrator for Dragonfly CMS and also Creative Director. Product usability has become a priority now that the system has matured and I have recently formed a theme designers group to organize the theme designers and give creative direction to the dragonflycms.org website.
My background with this project clarified
I found this project in it's infancy due to a post about cpgnuke 1.0 on nukecops that djmaze had made. And contacted djmaze on sourceforge about getting involved. During the very begining of the project I created most of the original images for the cpgnuke theme including all the orginal logo's and admin icons also cpgnuke 1.0 had been renamed to cpgnuke 6.5 aroud this time.
During the period that cpgnuke 6.5 - 8.x where released I worked on public relations and press releases to help get our site sponsored. Helping out doing various testing and debugging and creation of the flash install demo, cvs demo movies and heaps of other site assets. Creation of the Join a Groups block and other user improvment suggestions such as the use of .htaccess files, Link Us banner modules.
After several releases of cpgnuke 8.x the team decided to change the name of cpgnuke to dragonfly. Around this same time a flurry of development activity ensued complete revamp of the entire system. During this period of the dragonfly cms I have worked to help create many of the new site assets including the new Link Us module, topic images, and all the sponsors avatars. Also I have become alot more visable in the forums and support areas.
My experience outside of Dragonfly CMS includes.
- Community development of cuworld.com into a 500,000 user website.
- Designs and concepts featured in several books.
- Designs featured on the International Webby Awards website.
I hope this clarifies my postion here at Dragonflycms.org and should remove any confusion about my authority and roll here. Smile
