Dear Simon,
Thank you for contacting Logitech Customer Support. Based on your email, I understand that you have an issue with your Premium Optical mouse whereby the mouse cursor is jumpy. If this is not correct, please let me know.
Some of the possible reasons that caused this problem to occur are:
- The Logitech software is corrupted
- The connection was not established properly
- Interruption between the mouse and the receiver
In regards to this issue, I would like you to try the mouse in embedded mode to ensure that the basic functionality of the mouse is working with its native driver. (Embedded mode is when there is no software installed and the basic functions of your device will work once the device is connected). To uninstall the software, you may the steps below:
- Click on Start and Choose Control Panel
- Choose Add and Remove Program
- Uninstall any programs stated as Logitech Setpoint, MouseWare, iTouch and LCC
- Restart the computer and proceed to test the device in embedded mode.
- You may also test this product on another computer
- Let me know the results
If the mouse is working fine in embedded mode, you can perform a clean installation of the Mouseware software to ensure that the software is installed properly. Below is the instructions on how to do a clean installation.
Title: Doing a clean install of MouseWare and iTouch.
