Had a really odd dream: I accidentally ate someone's snack at work, thinking it was out for everyone. Turns out it belonged to a quiet chap I see a lot but don't know at all. I felt guilty, so tried to feign some degree of interest in the snack owner by asking him lots of questions about his work. He then went around telling everyone I was after his job. This made me feel very awkward. Suddenly, work became a kind of classroom. I was being told off by the teacher (in fact, a colleague) for threatening to leave the team, and I was made to apologize in front of the whole class. I tried, but felt increasingly upset. I ended up babbling incomprehensibly.
Sensing everyone was on edge and that it would be difficult to continue with the lesson/work, the teacher/colleague decided to take conclusive action to ensure we could all move on from this uncomfortable event. He disappeared for a few minutes and came back with a weird bunch of dead flowers. He handed them to me stating "thanks for taking these away from me". Oddly, this made me feel better; tension reduced and a few people in the classroom smiled. He re-arranged some plants in the classroom, threw away some dead ones, and resumed teaching.
I moved to the front of the class, choosing a desk that was sheltered behind some of the remaining plants, vaguely wondering why there were so many plants in this classroom. The teacher asked me if I was OK. I was. I threw away the dead flowers and began to pay attention to the lesson, which was about female hormones and CICS.
