Had a really odd dream: I accidentally ate someone's snack at work, thinking it was out for everyone. Turns out it belonged to a quiet chap I see a lot but don't know at all. I felt guilty, so tried to feign some degree of interest in the snack owner, asking lots of questions about his job. He then went around telling everyone I was after his job. This made me feel very akward. Suddenly, work became a kind of classroom. I was being told off by the teacher (in fact, a colleague) for threatening to leave the team, and I was made to appologise in front of the whole class. I tried, but felt increasingly upset. I ended up babbling incomprehensibly. I was told to state my assertions clearly, so I did: I had asked about the jobs out of interest; I had no intention of leaving the team; it shouldn't be viewed as a bad thing to gather basic information about other people's jobs. The class responded with complete silence.
Sensing everyone was on edge and that it would be difficult to continue with the lesson/work, the teacher/colleague decided to take conclusive action to ensure we could all move on from this uncomfortable event. He disappeared for a few minutes and came back with a weird bunch of dead flowers. He handed them to me stating "thanks for taking these away from me". Oddly, this made me feel better; a few people in the classroom smiled. He re-arranged some plants in the classroom, threw away some dead ones, and resumed teaching.
I moved to the front of the class, chosing a desk that was sheltered by some of the remaining plants (why were there so many plants in this classroom?). The teacher asked me if I was OK. I was. I began to pay attention to the lesson, which was about female hormones and CICS.
