Those who help others usually live about five to seven years longer than the average person. For Eckart von Hirschhausen, this result of a study yesterday at the launch of the campaign "Give there" in the house of the federal press conference mentioned that there is only one conclusion. "Instead of doctors prescribing aspirin, they should prescribe community service." The doctor, best-selling author and comedian is the founder of the foundation "Humor helps heal."

Donating, spending and giving up your free time for others would be even more appreciated in the future. Consequently, large nonprofit organizations, together with the 23 million volunteers who have already set up elsewhere around the world, are ready to move into the light and even more people to volunteer their commitment to motivate.

Already on Wednesday night reminded Transport Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee in his eulogy at the presentation of the Active Citizenship Promotion Forum in the DZ Bank on Pariser Platz that the use of individuals for the common good is essential: "The people of the DDR have since 1989 permanently called, because the individual has more responsibility." Pictures stood in the center of this year's forum.

The foundation "Citizens for Leipzig" received the prize of 15,000 Euros for the education fund "Music makes you smart." This allows children, as Tiefensee said, "many, many simple relationships" to learn with an instrument. The initiators of this project are the members of the band Tokio Hotel, who donated 20,000 Euros partly as a mentor to children who are paying for music lessons. Some professional musicians teach children for free, some citizens donate used instruments. There is no question that many future super stars will continue to build on this. "Music is fun, and music is strength," said cello player Tiefensee, underlining the educational effect.

The Board of Trustees Chairman Werner Böhnke remembered that a fourth of all adolescents leave school without mature training, that 12 billion Euros would be needed for Germany to be trained up to the European average.

The many opportunities that are made because from the state money given to them shows in "Give There." For 20 year old volunteer student Lisa Dahm, who organized parties for sick and handicapped children and volunteer Box trainer Daniel Tischer, who both came from humble beginnings and learned "respect and discipline" through sports.

The motto of the "Give There" campaign has a PR Agent who probably works long hours, suspected Humor-doctor Eckart von Hirschhausen. "It's already been put in the Bible." The initial stage of the engagement is simply within his view. Money for other purchases, from a cup of coffee to donations: "Afterwards you feel so much richer."
