To change the already great emoticons to some even better ones of your own, you need to edit one of the templates in karma/comments, but you also need to actually edit a cgi file.
Open 'gm-library.cgi' in notepad, and find the line that says 'sub gm_emoticons {'. Look at the code and you should recognize all the emoticons that are currently there. Simply change the filenames, the width and height of the emoticons, and you might want to change what you type to show the specific emoticon as well, for example I have two smiling emoticons, so I changed the 'image alt' and 'onclick' variables to ':smile1' and ':smile2:'. Sounds quite complicated but looking at the code in gm-library makes it a lot easier Wink You also need to change the two sections below that one in gm-library - you can recognize them as they are just two big chunks of of IMG tags. Just do the same thing again - editing the filenames, width and height, and the 'img alt' and 'onclick' variables.
God Im out of breath. I hope Im making sense as well, coz I have a tendancy not to... But anyway, so save gm-library.cgi after you've checked it's all right, and upload it! Now you need only edit the {{smartemoticonscode}} template in Karma/Comments. Just edit this template based on the same principals of editing gm-library - change the filename, the width and height, and the 'img alt' and 'onclick' variables... Once you've faffed around with all that, save your changes and rebuild ALL your files! Tadaa! It should look as groovy as mine now.
