<Kuailong> well, for a few of the songs we had a fog machine rented. Mind you, it's not really a chemical fog, you just put normal ice in it, right.
<Kuailong> well, they tested it last night for like a half hour, all went well
<Kuailong> so tonight we tested with the dancers and band and music and all
<Kuailong> well, it set off the fire alaerm

<Kuailong> and tonight was also hallway decorating, meaning each grade, 9,10,11,12 have a hallway they decorate for spirit week, so there's about 200 if not more people in the school at this point

<Kuailong> and the girl dancers are in sandals and very skimpy outfits...
<Kuailong> so. uh. yeah.

<Kuailong> the choral teacher/director is also a volunteer firefighter for our city, so, uh, he had his walkie talkie on him, so he called in to let them know it was all ok, just the chief came out to make a report
<Kuailong> but it was pretty damn funny
<Kuailong> because a few years back they had a fog machine that used dry ice that set off the alarm
<Kuailong> and i told the janitor when we were getting ice that this one wouldn't set the alarm off, it was all good.

<Kuailong> so, my day started at 6am
<Kuailong> i didn't get home until 10:15 pm
<Kuailong> so, uh, yeah. we're not using the fog machine
<Kuailong> we are, however, using a strobe light. i'll tell you the story of my catwalk+strobe light encounter.
<Kuailong> so we have a makeshift catwalk built off the stage for the performance.
<Kuailong> well, we had to put the strobe right at the tip of the catwalk(by the way, don't EVER look directly into a industrial strobe. It..well, it makes you VERY trippy).

<Kuailong> mind you, I'm tall. 5ft10in, right.
<Kuailong> the space between the catwalk bottom and the floor is about, eh, 3 feet, maybe not even that much.
<Kuailong> so, i'm a total clutz also.
<Kuailong> i grab the strobe, making sure to cradle the damn thing, because it cost a small fortune i bet, and scoot under the catwalk, which is support by two by fours.

<Kuailong> then a i mooched a coffee shot from a friend. a coffee short is like 2 espresso shots in the size of a little plastic indivdual creamer sized container.
