I"m trying to do some thing VERY simple and all the examples I see at this
links and in the book about mysql have examples like:

where membername = 'johnsmith'

I used this successfully where I fixed the value of lgname to be 'demo22'
and use line where lgname = 'demo22'

However, the OTHER where line I"m using I need to have it where membername
(in the table) is equal to membername entered by the member in the form, I
used all variations of where membername = 'form.membername' and it's not
working.

What is correct format for such a statement, to say where membername =

and the value after = be the value for membername entered in by the user, is
it form.membername or #membername# or some other variation?
