Hi Manu
Hope you don't mind me sending to two email addresses but I
couldn't tell which was which ...
I have been doing quite a lot of work on a DVB front end (recorder/server)
and have mostly been testing with a TwinHan Sat-CI card.
So far I have 30,000 lines of working code and I am trying to
finish things off a bit.
One problem I have been focusing on at present is getting multiple programs
to unscramble simultaneously. I have tried using "first", "more", and "last"
CI commands but they seem to work just same as "update" or "only".
However I see that recently you tentatively added a few more ioctls
to dst_ca.c, and I wonder where you are getting your command information
from.
To get my card properly working I had to patch a Windows driver
(DtvVideo.sys) and track what TwinHan was using (it conveniently
has DbgPrint import in it). But that seems like a perverse way of
going about things.
Looking at the raw commands I can only deduce the length bytes
(looks like an outer packet for pass through to CAM) and maybe the
command byte, but, for example, the third byte seems something
of a mystery. Could this outer packet have something to do
with my inability to use "first", "more" etc commands?
If you could shed any light on the commands it would be most
appreciated.
Regards
John W
