- Problem: no sound at all from laptop speakers. low cracklong sound from first jack if i plug in some headphones use use some model specifiactin from ALSA-Configuration.txt. Manufacturer specification homepage sways ALC888S chip by RealTek. (winxp driver by realtek is running better as the nvidia chip driver). There is maybe another soundcard plugged into this laptop, because i got a nvidia hdmi output (which is not working without the nvidia driver but i can install it seperatly under win). ITs a 3 Jack with a spdif and a hdmi output ssystem.
