Karen: I am a donor, please respect that and don't push for something over and above what we already give, especially when the request for more money is based on a paper thin argument like the one stated. That's a little bit cheeky and condescending towards us donors. Thinking that we have no idea what it takes / costs to run a site like this is a gross miscalculation on your part.
This post is relevant as it is our money we give, we, as donors have a right to voice our opinions .. it's our money after all.
Here is a small breakdown of the donations so far, although I must point out, this is not accurate for a few reasons:
1: Costs are a rough calculation going by current market prices for higher spec servers currently for sale at the exact datacenters where ST / Seedbox is hosted.
2: Donations reset, this has happened from time to time, happened twice during December.

There is no offsite backup in place, last time the site went tits up, a 3 week old DB was used to get it back online, so that cannot be a hidden running cost as it doesn't exist. There is no "pay for leech" scene axx to add to monthly costs.
So a rough over priced estimate of the monthly running cost is:

So for the 29 months listed on the donations page the running cost will be around:

During the Christmas double donation day drive, which I donated to three times throughout the day while in my drunken haze, $10,000 was sent to Childs Play. This is the only instance of money being donated. Dec donations would be over $15435, as they where zeroed, but for argument sake you can always take the $10,000 off the total profit and it still leaves $75,000.
It's also worth noting no additional income is required to fix a lot of the issues there is currently with the site. The likes of the mySQL error is easily sorted on both sites, the answer to that problem is obvious by the actual error output roll .. STMusic is the same, a lot of small bugs that could be sorted if someone was permitted to. The ex staff grew frustrated with the lack of anything being done and left. You must be blind to have not noticed the mass exodus of staff on both sites over the past 5 / 6 months .. some hanging on longer than others in the hope things change, but they don't .. and they leave.

It is also a pretty telling attitude from a supposed staff member when they are quite happy to label donors queries on where their money goes as a pointless topic. It only reinforces the fact that this place is nothing more than a cash cow, where we, the people who pay for this place to run are ignored / banned / muted for raising simple queries.

Last time a topic on site issues was raised, mass banning of users (users who had been with this site for years) occurred.
EDIT: For your information I promoted skeletor to FLS Leader because he is the most active and does the most work of all the FLS. If Ersan locks this thread it's because none of you have a fucking brain and are polite about anything, you are demanding whining babies. As for the mass banning of users who had been here for years, none of you know the whole story so don't put your noses where they don't belong. There was just cause for it. None of us get paid for your info not just FLS. We donate our time and don't whine because we aren't getting money or respect on any level. I do however agree with skeletor if you don't want to donate don't. No one forces you to and a donation is a donation it goes where it's needed. You think you all know the cost but you don't. Prices have gone down for servers and such yes but that doesn't mean that's what he pays. He pays what he paid when he got the servers and it's not what you all think. I am a donor as well so don't say that I don't respect because I work my ass off for my money and if I thought it wasn't going where it was suppose to I wouldn't donate at all. As for the coding being so simple to fix none of you have seen the code and I had a convo with Ersan today and in order for it to all be fixed the whole site code would need to be written. As Ersan is the only one doing the coding I think you all ask too much to expect him to do nothing else but sit here and fix stuff that isn't urgent to be fixed. The man has a life too and he isn't required to sit here all day and listen to everyone bitch about it. And if I was him I wouldn't fix it simply because you all bitch and whine instead of asking politely. You say we have negative attitudes but you all aren't much better. Anyway on a much happier note, or at least one you all will be happy with, next month we will most likely be moving to better, faster servers. I discussed this with Ersan today and mentioned the concerns of the users and as I was "polite" with him he decided that even though it is a lot of work it's what needs to be done for the site.
Now let me warn you all if I hear any more whining and bitching and stupid comments like Trembles made about him using the money to buy a lexus I will issue warnings and even bannings as I see fit as this is ridiculous and uncalled for. This site has gone down the shithole ever since the staff left, Ersan made it abundantly clear he doesn't give a shit, I stopped giving a shit quite a while ago. But this is good entertainment. Even the crappy private trackers are better then this now.

The users and staff were the only thing which made this site awesome. The staff left, and the users are leaving now as well.
