I blame my lack of occidentality on my mom--she got me an old paper folding book at a garage sale when I was like 7 or something, and I enjoyed it so much I looked for more in the library, got into origami, then before I knew it I was in college taking Japanese. I started hanging out with the wrong crowd and got introduced to anime, and everything went downhill from there. Before I knew it I was maxing out my bandwidth downloading movies and manga archives I'd never even heard of; email, IM, even Quake II were put on the back burner. I really knew I'd hit bottom when I considered deleting pr0n to make room for more anime movies. I sought help from AA (anime-niacs anonymous) and turned my life around. Now, I have my Asian side under control--martial arts twice a week, and the occasional Kung Fu flick. Thank you, AA. Thank you.
