- How I might partition my 111gb IDE hard drive:
- /dev/hda1 Windows2000 NTFS Primary 18GB
- /dev/hda2 / Ext3 Primary 4GB
- /dev/hda5 /tmp Reiserfs Logical 1.5GB
- /dev/hda6 /var Reiserfs Logical 1.5GB
- /dev/hda7 /usr Ext3 Logical 5GB
- /dev/hda8 swap Swap Logical 1GB
- /dev/hda9 /home Ext3 Logical 67GB
- /dev/hda10 /opt Ext3 Logical 4GB
- /dev/hda11 /common W95 FAT32 (LBA) Logical 9GB
- /common is to safe read/write to/from NTFS and EXT3 (e.g., transfering files to/from windows/linux)
