  1. Da ich auf meinem Laptop arbeite, ist Performance sehr wichtig. Jeden Tag verliere ich ungefähr eine Stunde, nur dass ein paar Programme gestartet werden und Ordner geladen. Das ist wirklich so extrem! Auf meinem alten PC lief Ubuntu x32, Fedora x64 sehr schnell. Und ich kann nicht jeden Tag eine andere Linux-Distribution ausprobieren und dann einrichten, was schon mehrere Stunden dauert. Wenn dann alles läuft, merke ich dann erst wie langsam das ist und kann dann wieder was anderen installieren - toll. Außerdem ist es ziemlich schwierig, alle Daten zu backupen und dann auf ein anderes System zu verschieben (Datenbanken, PHP, Programmeinstellungen). Ich plane jetzt schon den Umstieg auf Gutsy Gibbon seit einem Monat und sortiere schon alle Dateien und habe mir auch schon einen Plan gemacht, was ich wie und wohin backupen werden, um dann eine sauberes Gutsy Gibbon zu installieren (Vorher muss die Festplatte glöscht werden). Unter XP war das alles einfacher. Da hatte man einfach XAMPP. Da geht man auf "install.bat" drauf und schon wird das installiert und man kann es verwenden. Bei Linux musst du noch extra das aus dem Repository ziehen und ggf. selbst kompilieren, wenn Module wie Forking nicht vorhanden sind.mHabe eine Woche gebraucht, damit alles ordnungsgemäß lief, weil es einfach nicht alle Module, die ich brauchte, im Repository gab.
