   Developed Powerline ethernet drivers & integrated software for a variety of
   embedded DSP-computing products (ranging from hotel set-top video decoders

Independent Computer Consulting, San Francisco CA and Honolulu, HI 

   Clients included Wells Fargo, HP, Charles Schwab, Lerach Coughlin Stoia 
   Geller Rudman & Roberts LLP, and Milagen. 

   Developed data-mining suites (and associated pattern searching algorithms) 
   for the discovery of corporate insider trading, and for finding clusters of
   popular songs and artists on P2P networks.  These application were 
   built using Python, C, XML XPath, MySQL, DBM, OpenVPN & Debian Linux x86.  
   
   Refactoring a large (100,000 lines of code) perl CGI application for a 
   financial firm.

   Continuing support for Indymedia.org open-publishing code-bases and Internet 
   servers.  Working with the EFF & a diverse group of partner organizations to 
   design, build & deploy a multi-tiered, highly-available Internet application 
   for tracking vvoting-related incidents during the 2004 election.  Helped 
   design & deploy a geographically distributed and highly-available cluster of
   MySQL database servers & "front-edge" webservers.  

   Extended a Plone-based corporate accounting application to be in compliance
   with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act by integrating open-source code for full-history 
   support in Zope Enterprise Objects.   
   
   Custom PHP programming of Intranet & Internet web applications and Unix 
   systems support for real-estate firms, travel agencies, and donut/sushi 
   factories in Hawaii.  Full life-cycle development of content management 
   systems, and an order-delivery tracking system with customer relationship 
   manangement functionality.  Unix platforms included Debian, Redhat and NetBSD.

   Acting as security engineer for the online division of a national bank.  
   Responsible for hardening Linux operating systems and Apache/Tomcat based 
   applications on public webservers.  Performing regular security auditing of
   colocated servers and composing regular security reports for management.
