Hello all.

We have arranged a group buy with Mesa Electronics for their FPGA-based 5I20 card and accessories. They have been gracious enough to offer their quantity 25 pricing to EMC developers, which represents a pretty significant discount (roughly 27%). With this pricing, a full 4-axis analog servo interface (to external drivers) is under $200, and a system with a 4-motor driver card is $209 (for low power servos). At present, the card only supports analog servos, but one primary focus of getting cards into developers hands is to get step/direction output as well.

There's more information about the products and the group buy at <http://jmkasunich.dyndns.org/cgi-bin/blosxom/shoptask/m5i20-group-buy.html>. The page should be updated sometime late today to show the correct pricing, and will be updated with more details as they become available.

We're not sure exactly what the order and payment process will be, so right now we're just gathering a list of which boards people want. You can sign up by emailing either myself ( spadnos at sover.net ) or John Kasunich ( jmkasunich at att.net ).

This is an excellent deal, so if you've been thinking about getting some hardware assist for your machine, now is the time :)
