- 1. One Window. I really hate that ircchess has a separate window for
- everything, i'd like everything to be in one window and be
- view menu/show this item type thing.
- 2. Move List. Saveable in as many formats as possible, pgn,txt,cbn
- whatever. Also would be nice if notation is selectable to whatever
- notation the person prefers.
- 3. Captured Pieces. A view menu/show this window of the pieces each
- side has captured.
- 4. Multiple Simultaneous Games. You should be able to play multiple
- games against multiple opponents. This means that each game will
- require it's own port. Ports shouldn't be hard coded but selectable
- by the user.
- 5. Game Types. Player VS. Player over P2P. Player VS. Player locally,
- this you'll be able to use to follow a game like say while reading a
- book. Player VS. Computer via any number of game engines available on
- the net.
- 6. Move Takeback. This is needed so you and someone else can go
- though games and try different scenarios.
- 7. Board Setup. Need to be able to setup board to a position of your
- choosing. Even illegal positions.
- 8. Chatting. Should be able to save the chat window text. Possibly be
- able to kick observers off the chat if you a player? There's more to
- this then meets the eye so may not be feasible, like with multiple
- game support do we allow a person to comment on one game but block
- them from commenting on another game. This could get very complicated
- and difficult to code. The whole kick idea is just a thought.
- 9. Tournament Mode. This if created would probably require a server
- component so everyone could connect and chat with each other for
- tourneys. The server could have pairings code to determine who plays
- who.
- 10. Board and Pieces. There should be multiple boards and pieces to
- choose from.
